Service Sucks. All I ordered was Avocado Toast. Nothing else. The employee at the service window tells me that all the tables are reserved and I can't sit there... I sat at one of the empty tables anyway. I'm sitting down waiting for my food 20 minutes now and 3 other tables which were winding down their meals and finished... the people at the tables finished & left. Leaving many tables open. I see 11 ( eleven ) tables open & available now. My food is still not here, it's been 30 minutes. Will never come back here. I just got my food... it's been 45 minutes. Just finished eating it. Nothing special. Came with TWO SLiCES of very thick toast ( wasn't toasted like I asked ). Who in their right minds wants TWO slices of toast with their Avocado Toast ????!!! Thought the whole point was more healthy ingredients ON TOP and LESS BREAD. What a mistake to come here. Going somewhere else now to finish my meal off properly. read more

The Ambiance is nice, outdoor with tree shade. It's about the only thing I enjoyed. The service is a bit too snooty for me. I was just passing by Austin and this was suggested. Came at 11 when there were only 3 tables filled, and she asked if I had a reservation. The wagyu steak and eggs is Not wagyu. Zero marbling, and had tendons that should've been trimmed off. I asked for Over-Medium egg, and apparently they don't know what that is, so the came out with hard fried agg. The hash brown is actually one ball of mashed potato, fried! read more

Stopped here for brunch on a Saturday. Made reservations to sit inside, and it was quite busy at first at 11:45 AM, but slowed down and felt less crowded quickly when the brunch rush ended. They are doing great with COVID precautions with touch-less menus and payment. I ordered the brassica's salad, which was large and delicious! Exactly what I wanted for a light lunch. My husband got the breakfast roll, which was also delicious and their bacon is absolutely amazing. Their was a blanket of eggs in his roll that was soft and tasted exactly what breakfast should be like. I ordered a hot chai latte with almond milk which was great and sweet with spices. My husband got the nitro cold brew and had almond milk to add himself on the side. I definitely recommend both of these drinks. You can also order coffee and pastries at their window. They have a lot of outdoor seating as well. The vibe is cool and peaceful in busy SoCo area, and we will be back for another meal soon! read more

Beautiful restaurant and AMAZING food. We were able to get a seat outside without a reservation on a busy weekend, luckily, and I'm so glad we were able to try this place. Even though it was raining, the cover overhead allows for hassle-free outdoor dining. Only complaint is the chairs aren't super comfortable. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The waffles were really good, a bit heavy on the blueberry sauce so they were a bit soggy but still delicious. The seasonal scramble and wagyu & eggs hit the spot for our brunch cravings. The portions were a decent size as well. We also ordered some matcha lattes and the probiotic strawberry juice. The matcha is strong (which I like) and the juice was quite refreshing. The food was fantastic! Tasted very fresh and delish! Definitely recommend the banana bread appetizer with espresso cream that tasted like a tiramisu banana bread!! The matcha was also very good. Not as sweet as Starbucks, which I preferred. The scramble was great, with no complaints, but I wish the chili oil was actually spicy. My date had the steak and eggs, and that was fantastic as well. Steak was perfectly cooked, and it came with a perfectly crispy hashbrown and greens on the side. The service was good as well. Didn't spend too much time waiting as we had a reservation, but without one, the wait wasn't too long in the morning. It does get busy, though. Very cute environment perfect for a brunch date, catching up with a friend or solo dining! Highly recommend, and I can't wait to come back and try more food! read more

For a New York coffee shop, they don't seem to be in a hurry. Takes over 10 minutes to get espresso shots on a Tuesday. On a Saturday forget it. More like 30 minutes. I have eaten inside, great bartenders but that's all. If you walk in to sit at the bar you have a chance but calling for reservations forget about it. They never answer the phone. I came to Two Hands for brunch with two of my girlfriends, and the food was amazing!! I highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, as it's a very popular brunch spot in South Congress. I ordered the Avocado Toast, Lemon Poppyseed Waffle, and a Lavender Latte, and everything was just YUM. I'm not a huge fan of very sweet dishes, and I was afraid the waffles would be too sweet, but they were perfect! The service was excellent; our food came out relatively fast despite the restaurant being busy. We were seated outside, and the ambiance was very pleasant. One of the best new spots in Austin! They have a little patio and super cute design inside. From the crispy Caesar salad to the Chicken Schnitzel...you can't go wrong! Start with the Caesar. Order a side of French toast for the table. Finish off with the Salmon bowl and the burger. Get a side of fries. You won't be disappointed. The food was good and seemed healthy. I wouldn't say it was great but it was good. We sat at the bar after moving away from a table where the service was slow. We had to ask the bar server to wipe down the counter as it was really dirty. It was wiped down after we asked but not well. My boyfriend and I love this place. We probably stop in once every two weeks or so. We really wish their breakfast and lunch menu was their all day menu because we're not a big fan of their dinner. Our favorites are the GF Espresso Walnut Banana Bread. I don't even like banana bread but this one changed the game! The Açaí Bowl is a must. So sweet, cold, and delicious. I really like the Avocado Toast but sometimes it's a little overload on the peppers. The chicken bowl is really good. We usually end up ordering the burger (it's amazing) but on their sourdough bread! I'm obsessed. I'm gluten intolerant so it's a relief finding so many dishes I can order from the menu with no problems. I wanted to highlight what a joy it was having Kat as our server. A lot of the times we've been in for dining, our waitresses seem like they are in some kind of mood or bothered by our order and certain preferences. It definitely takes away from the experience when the waitress has an attitude. Kat was opposite! She was so cute and bubbly and full of good vibes. She even asked about our order and was curious why we subbed certain things and told us she needed to try them that way. It was nice of her to show interest and give so many smiles! I really loved this place! I stumbled upon it on a Saturday, looking for a late lunch! We came in and they seated us immediately but either at the bar or patio. We chose the patio but I think the tables inside are worth the wait. The outside patio area is my only critique, I think the owners should invest a lot more money into making it look amazing. It overlooks Aba (another restaurant with a 2 hour wait at the time) and it was gorgeous there and sad outside Two Hands. It has a lot of potential!!! Food and drinks were amazing. Loved the burger and the perfectly crispy fries. The scramble was phenomenal and loved the soft ribbon eggs! The juices, coffee and cocktails were tasty as well! Hmm I'm not too sure about this one. Hailing from NYC, this new Cafe has popped up on Soco. I was excited at the thought of some good options in the Soco/downtown area...I'm still searching. I reserved a table on the patio on a Thursday night. The service was great and our waiter was friendly. We began with the curry calamari. I'll start off by saying how shocked we were at the portion. The favour was definitely there, it's just the calamari was not. The portion was quite small to say the least. For my entree I got the sausage ragu pappardelle and my boyfriend got the wagyu steak frites. Both were alright, not super satisfying or impressive. It is very pricey for what it is. A (small) appetizer, three drinks, two meh entrees for $120. Mediocre food at higher end price point, I think I'll pass. read more

Best roasted brussel sprouts of my life! Everything else we had was very good. It's just a little annoying to end your meal with the server handing you an iPad with suggested tips that start at a minimum of 20%, while the server stands over you and watches you trying to figure out what tip you actually want to give. I came here with a friend and loved the atmosphere. The wait staff was very nice and helpful. My waffle was pretty good and the flavors were very interesting. It was light and very lemony. I didn't care much for the amount of ricotta on it but it small amounts it was good. The blueberry compote was fabulous and the crushed almonds gave it the texture the waffle itself was missing. I personally am hesitant about coming back just because I paid $20 for 1 waffle + tip. I definitely felt like it should've come with a side or something but I guess it's so expensive because it's on SoCo. I'm open to coming back when I'm prepared to drop a lot of money on a meal. First off, I want to say this place is more like a 3.5 stars. The ambiance is fun and casual. The food is okay, but has a lot of room for improvement. The base is okay, but it definitely could be improved upon. It has a lot of potential. The food is a little bland and could use a little bit of a kick to be able to set Two Hands apart. Loud music that's a fun energetic vibe but not a good studying spot unless you have noise canceling headphones. Bar is open for seating. I got the salmon bowl and it was great! I loved the hummus base - creative and delicious. They would get 5 stars BUT as the wait staff transitioned, they completely forgot about me. I was very excited about this new Aussie cafe in town, because I really like the vibe and the food options. The food was fine, so-co is a better version of avocado toast, because the pickled radish and tomatoes really adds more flavor to the avocado toast. The avocado toast is more like toast with guacamole on it drizzled with chilli oil. Kombucha and drip coffee were also fine. But I'm really disappointed in the dining experience inside the store, it was sooo noisy, so many echoes from music and people surrounding talking and I could hardly communicate with my friend with normal volume of voice. Not sure about outdoor dining experience though. My friend and I had two toasts and two drinks and that cost a total of $50, which is obviously too over-priced for a brunch. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

Two Hands had a lot of promise, but the experience was a mix of highs and lows. This place is notably extremely gorgeous inside, with a great location for a brunch and shop day, nestled right off SoCo! We didn't mind waiting a bit for a table; after all, good things come to those who wait. However, once seated, the enthusiasm dwindled a bit. We were patient waiting for a table for a considerable length of time, and once seated, our server, though friendly, wasn't as attentive as we'd hoped. We had to catch her attention a lot and felt like we were much of a priority, was later in the afternoon. I opted for the bek roll, which was decent but didn't quite meet my high expectations. It's a shame when you really want to love a place, but it falls a bit short. Although, my partner's steak and eggs were a delight, truly yummy! As for the coffee, I'm a huge fan, especially of their vanilla latte. However, you should note the presence of numerous flies was a considerable distraction. I come by here every couple of weeks and hang around the bar top. 2 Hands is always pristinely clean from the entry to the bathrooms. The bartender, Tamy seems to be there every time I pop in, she's either handing out dog treats to all the pups or engaging with guests. I like the espresso martini & anything Hi Sign on tap is a W. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back.
