I saw this place couple times after the previous (different) fried chicken place had closed down/moved. I thought I'd give it a try and it did not disappoint! I rarely write reviews but this place was so good- I got the 6pc sweet and spicy wings and it was crunchy with the perfect amount of sauce. The price was also cheaper than expected ($9.99)- One thing I would suggest is offering dipping sauce like ranch or blue cheese. I almost settled (and yes settled) for bbq chicken but so glad I found this place on Yelp. I ordered the 12 piece soy garlic wings with side order of pickled radish & cabbage salad, w side of spicy sauce, spent a little over $30, less than $35. The wings looked like more than 12 ! This place took over for the other Fried Chicken place that was there before. At $25 for a whole chicken, the value is there with 14 pieces. Definitely one of the top fried chicken places in irvine. The sauces & original fried chicken were absolutely delicious. Much better than the neighboring fried chciken places like bbq & pelicana. It does take much longer than 10-15 mins after you order the food, but it is conveniently located in zion marlet where you can kill some time grocery shopping. read more

While it tastes better than bb.q chicken which has easier access to and also bb.q gives you more chicken. Two dak chicken give you amount for 2 people for 1 meal and you are little hungry at the end. While bb.q chicken gives you amount for 3 people so between me and my wife we had left over after we had full meal. I guess its quality vs quantity here. It does not mean bb.q chicken is not tasty. Now, if you are familiar with the fried yams that you may find in Korea at a Tteokbokki place, these are those!! They pair really well with Korean fried chicken. My family enjoyed the meal! It is located inside the Zion Market to the left side of the store. There is a boba tea and a paris baguette on that side so you can get a little of everything. The tables are not wiped down by any of the staff from what I observed, so that could be a recommendation to all businesses operating there. He devoured 3 of them in one sitting without stopping, and he's a picky kid! The chicken is juicy and really crispy on the outside, they cook it to order. I've been waiting for this place to open and so happy I was able to try it tonight! The chicken was superb! I got the whole fried chicken with soy garlic sauce on the side. The sauce is not thick and more in the watery side but did not lack in flavor. The chicken itself was fried and seasoned to perfection. The lady was so sweet and gave us fried potatoes on the side which tasted so yummy with the ranch dressing.
