I'm becoming a big fan of this restaurant!! The more I visit, the more I like it!! Yummmm. The place: Two chicks is located in Midtown, in a shopping/restaurant center. The restaurant is super colorful! Red and yellow are the home colors. They offer table, booth, and bar seating. The booth are a little bit too small for bigger people. The tables are cute and pretty but the chairs obviously give you the message : "eat and don't get too cozy." The food: The food here is really good! I think the servings are generous. So far I've had their pancakes, their scramble eggs with basque chorizo and I've had both the sweet potatoes and hash browns. I normally love sweet potatoes but I prefer the hash browns. "Mimosas" are excellent here, they have different yummy flavors. I had grapefruit and regular mimosa with fresh squeezed orange juice... mmmm Everyday this restaurant makes its butter/honey spread, in my last visit I had strawberry flavor. It was really good!! The service: The staff at Two Chicks is super super nice and very caring, they keep an eye on you and make sure you have everything you need. They all seem to be friends and to love their job, I love the vibe and good energy from people every time I visit here. read more

Can you say YUM?!? I absolutely love being able to make it for breakfast or lunch here. Staff is upbeat and helpful with the menu. Service is good-even when they are slammed. Bathrooms are clean. The ONLY downfall was the very long wait- but it's for a good reason. People love this place and keep coming back. read more

I've been meaning to stop by for breakfast for a long time. This morning, I found myself in MidTown with some time on my hands and decided to treat myself! The restaurant is comfortably appointed and provides a country style ambiance. As well as a menu with some really intriguing egg dishes, they serve coffee from Wood-Fire Roasted Coffee Company, one of my favorites! Today was the first day of mandatory masks in public. All the servers were very nice, friendly and accommodating, while I tried to remember to put my mask back on while speaking to the server... I went with the Gromelt Bene. LOVED the strong sourdough bread base with the delicate cheese, hollandaise and perfectly cooked egg, topped with a sprinkle of bacon. It was delightful! The side of sweet potato home fries was a nice addition to the plate. Side by side with a generous mug of coffee, this was really a terrific breakfast in a trendy MidTown location. I know I will be back, whether to sit in or order out. There are quite a few more items on the menu I need to try!! read more

I love the food and service here soooo much. Went last weekend with friends. Yes it was a bit of a wait, but they have a whole Side Chick bar in the back so the wait was enjoyable. Loving the new menu items. I had the chili rellano omelet which was divine (with sweet potatoes and biscuit that came with blueberry butter) and my friend had the poppyseed French toast which I had a bite of and loved. All around the table were "mmmmm yum" as everyone enjoyed their B&G, Eggs Bene, and/or breakfast sandwiches. The server was spectacular and I joked that I wanted to spend Thanksgiving with her she had such a warm and inviting personality. As I prepare to move from the BLC, Two Chicks is a spot I will def miss. read more

This is a difficult review to write. We have been supporters of Two Chicks since they had their gourmet melt truck. At some point, the owners felt it was a bright idea to plaster the walls and the wait staff uniforms with profanity. They have a logo now that says "FRESH as F@&K". It is not family friendly. This race for the bottom was so unnecessary as the food and wait staff are excellent. I spoke to the manager at the Virginia Street store recently and he indicated he is constantly having to field questions on the profane logo. read more

A quaint area revitalization project that Two Chicks are in the heart of. Hip, cool breakfast diner with a good vibe! Ate the cinnamon French toast, eggs and chicken links with sweet potatoes. I met a friend at Two Chicks on a Sunday afternoon. It was a bustling spot and clearly very popular in the developing midtown area of Reno. The menu was large and boasts the use of fresh local ingredients. The specialty and focus was breakfast and a variety of grilled cheese melts. The breakfast items were tempting, but I opted for my first love- cheese. It was worth it! I ordered The Wiseguy: fontina cheese, salami, and artichoke hearts on sourdough. It was a hot bite of heaven served with a heaping portion of garlic Parmesan fries with aioli dipping sauce. Love, love, loved all of it. The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy with a slightly 50s retro vibe. Our server was a lovely older woman who was all smiles, kindness, and even gave us some extra comedy club tickets she had on-hand for a nearby place. I grew up in Reno, but haven't visited much in the last six years. The growth of midtown is impressive and Two Chicks was a great introduction to the way the community is changing. read more

Been here a few times but most recently to celebrate after getting married that morning. It is post COVID times so the restaurant worked really hard with social distancing and reservations. We had a lovely strawberry lemonade mimosa with other brunch usuals. The moment that shines however was the half order of biscuits and gravy. Having lived in the South for most of my life and recently leaving Nashville, this hit all the right spots. Dare I say better than Cracker Barrel biscuits?! The sausage gravy was perfectly seasoned with good amounts of meat. While I have been here before, this experience certainly took it over the top. read more

Hubby and I basically had 1 day in Reno, so I had to make my food choices count. I was torn btwn Two Chicks and Peg's. After considering possible wait time and prices, I went with Two Chicks. We secured parking along the main street (Virginia). Otherwise, there is valet parking in the tiny shopping center. We had about a 15 minute wait, which went by quick. There's also a container of free fresh brewed coffee for awaiting patrons. Ordered the biscuit and gravy combo, french toast combo, and sweet potato pancake. The biscuit and gravy was probably the best I ever had! The sausage in the gravy had little kick to it. Hubby loved his French toast combo. I could've passed on the sp pancakes. Portions are huge and kept us full for hours. Staff was also nice and checked on us periodically. Also, true to the "eggceptional breakfast" theme, the serving plates are egg-shaped! read more

Two Chicks came highly recommended by the internet. Seriously. Every listicle recommends it, so I had to try it. Now, eggs benedict is my go-to for brunch and I had very high expectations. And I am sad to say it fell short on my visit. Perhaps it was an off day for the kitchen, but the dish felt generic. It just lacked the flavor I was hoping for. That said the restaurant's ambiance is really cute and casual. And I like the convenient location in Midtown. Seems like it'd be a great spot for families. This is for the new location on South Virginia. Management at this location is lacking and I am sure the owners would like to know that I was served cold hard hashbrowns with my chewy fatty cold bacon (I requested extra crispy). The toast was Dry and Cold (not freshly baked) and overall it tasted worse than Dennys. 20.00 for one person. read more

Update. Changed this from 4 to 5 stars. Their food is so good with fresh flavorful ingredients I usually come here for breaksfast while I'm in Reno and get the Vegi Bene. And the shortbread pancakes are fluffy , unlike the rubber versions you get at other places. This place also has Kombucha on tap along with beers and full bar if you want. Had a Michelada and the tomato mix was sooo good. their coffee is top notch too. A lot of healthy choices without sacrificing flavor. Eat here, you won't regret it. read more

Intrigued by the constant traffic in and out of here while shopping nearby decided to take a leap without the assistance of Yelp. Then, after an amazing breakfast, joining in the fray of good reviews. Tucked in an ever evolving part of midtown Reno is this gem. Friendly, attentive service, open and pleasing seating area, maybe a bit of tough parking all complimented by super fresh and flavorful food that is expertly prepared. We had the Veggie Benedict and the special Churro French Toast. The Benny was one of the best we've ever had. Served with our choice of hash Browns it's everything you would want from it. Perfectly cooked eggs complemented by an assortment of tender veggies in a light Hollandaise. Side choices were Hash browns, veggie fritters and a couple of sweet potato concoctions. The Churro French Toast special was so, so good that I could eat twice the amount given. Worst (best) part was the cream cheese icing on the side. This place has a great vibe. We did come after 12:00p on a Sunday and walked right in and sat quickly. Parked close by as well. Definitely returning here as there's many more things on the menu worth exploring. read more

Just hit up Two Chicks in Reno today. If you're a tourist, know that it's about 9 minutes from the airport. Easy drive. No traffic. The vibe was lively, and parking was a breeze, right in front of the restaurant. Quick service, friendly waitress. I went for the almond poppyseed French toast with blueberry compote and butter. They said it's thick cut sweet bread, but it wasn't very sweet at all. Still tasty, but next time, I might go for something else. Overall, good times there--totally recommend it. read more

Went here on a whim for lunch, came away as a fan. I had one of their versions of Eggs Benedict with tomatoes (they tasted real), basil, balsamic vinegar and hollandaise sauce. Sounded a bit weird but the flavors really worked. My wife had one of their specialty bowls and she loved it. There was more food than you could eat but you didn't want to stop. The menu was diverse so if you're not into breakfast, there are other things that can suit your cravings. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. I was also surprised by how big it is. From the outside you wouldn't think is was so large but it is. The kitchen is open so you can see your food prepared in a very clean environment. A great addition to the growing midtown Reno experience. Will definitely be coming back soon. read more

Amazing Mother's Day brunch! We preordered earlier this week and stopped by Sunday morning to pick up our order. Once you got it home you just needed to cook it per the instructions on the containers and it turned out perfect. I preferred this over picking up precooked food because it was fresh when we were ready to eat it. Everything was amazing and delicious.
