My favorite breakfast place in Reno. The hubs and I eat here pretty regularly because itsjustsogood. I love love love that they serve local ingredients and they offer duck eggs as an option for an extra charge. If you've never had a duck egg, order it fried and you'll taste the difference between it and a regular egg... duck eggs are so much creamer and more rich in flavor. You'll never want to go back to regular eggs again. I order the eggs benny with duck eggs and sweet potatoes every.single.time. I always entertain the option of ordering an alternate item and want to SO badly but I just can't seem to get past the eggs benny. The hubs mixes it up a bit with the red chick scramble, pancakes, sandwiches, and such. Honestly, everything is really good. Cocktails are a must when you're here. They have mimosas, bloodys, seasonal drinks, and more. Coffee is good and comes in a full size mug--none of those mini-diner mugs that require a refill every time you take two sips. Also their homemade whipped butter is so good I can hardly stand it! They change the flavors often so expect to try a different one with each visit. The honey cinnamon one is my fav, but the strawberry one is so good too. Everyone who works here is nice but they do get busy so they don't always have time to chat. Before moving to Reno we made a visit to Reno for research purposes and found Two Chicks. We ate there three days in a row. When we found out that Red Chick had grown up in Reno we asked her a bunch of questions about the area. She was so sweet and helpful, and I couldn't believe her willingness to share her time with us. The atmosphere is darling--modern style diner with farm style decor and bright colors. You feel happy just walking in there! Ordered the Country Bene as-is, then ordered two extra poached "local" eggs. You can really tell a difference between their regular vs local eggs. Local eggs were larger and fresher taste. Sausage gravy was good, sausage patty was good as well (I had the choice between sausage or ham). My only issue, just a personal preference, was the buscuit was too big. I'm not much of a bread eater. But if you really like big biscuits, this is your thing! My wife ordered the 1/2 Order of Biscuits and Gravy. Het biscuit was also very large, but there was plenty of sausage gravy to offset it. She really liked her meal. My dad ordered the Salmon Omelet. It was a good size omelet. He enjoyed it and ate most of it, which is good for him! The staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. They have an open kitchen, five chefs in there seem to work very well together. We always dine here for breakfast when visiting my daughter here in Reno. We ordered Country Chicken Fried Steak Combo, Apple Cinnamon French toast Combo, & Veggie Omelet. Delicious as always. Call ahead for reservation, as it easily gets crowded. I'm giving 4 stars because the 15 min wait for indoor dining became 45 mins. And another family behind us without reservation(I overheard) got seated first. If I didn't check back in what's going on, we probably be waiting longer. Omg food here is sooooooo good and fresh tasting! Don't waste your money in the casino at the cafe. Take the 10 minuet drive and have breakfast here. The homemade butter is amazing. . I know we ate so much other food but the butter was so great and delicious. I know you're probably wondering why I scored this place so low. Well that would be because the staff openly stated in front of us I don't want to take a table of 10 people like WTF if you're going to say that don't say it in front of the guest! We ended up getting the most amazingly sweet young lady to help us. She exceeded all of our expectations after our initial meeting with the hostess when we checked in. We were here in October for the Italian Festival. Thankfully I made a reservation as this place is hoping. So many were turned away or did not want to wait 45 min to an hour. The online reservation system did not work so I had called it in a week earlier. The place is crowded and a bit noisy- we had an inside booth which was nice as the chairs did not look comfy at all. The plates are shaped like an egg (cute). The menu had a great variety and the presentations on all dished was perfection. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the Reno area. My only complaint would be the restroom-only one, and the line was pretty long. read more

This cozy and aesthetic little brunch spot was worth making the drive from downtown Reno. I definitely recommend making reservations early in the morning or a day before, especially during these restricted openings. I'm glad Two Chicks is still open during quarantine. All of their tables were well spread out and everything was heavily sanitized during the day. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and the staff were all very friendly. I say no I cannot sit on those square stools, w/no back support @ the bar, nor do I wanna be in a walkway, so they offer me a table by the front door, With metal seats. I don't want to be by the front door that's disgusting everyone's walking in and out and I don't want to sit on metal chairs. I asked to sit a bench booth that was padded and I was told no. Well, too bad so sad. I am not eating at a walkway bar with no backup support and I'm not sitting on metal chairs by the restaurant front door.
