We came in tonight with a party of 9. We went to the bar first to wait for all of the party to arrive. We had to wait a long time for the bartender to serve her friends free shots that looked to be teenagers. We ordered food and we're given a wireless buzzer. It was taking a long time and I attributed it to having 9 orders at once. I finally went to the counter and asked if order 53 was ready. The girl behind the counter said she didn't know there were order numbers, but the huge order present had been there forever. Our wireless buzzer never buzzed. 9 cold meals and 3 don't give a f's from the employees. I could get better food and service at McDonald's, maybe. At least, it would be warm. read more

This is a new location of the well established chain. The artistic animal heads on the wall, hmmm, well, hmmm. The line to order winds you around and there are menus to look at before you finally get to the order taker. Hang on to your menu as you may need it a bit longer. I ordered my usual burger despite thoughts of trying something else. I was handed the name Arnold Schwarzenegger for my order. Handing a customer a celebrity name is supposed to bring smiles, but I could see that could upset someone with the one given in this day and age of thin skins. I was kind of hungry and felt like I might tear into my order like Arnold might when he just finished a work out. The burger was very, very good. I should have got an extra slice of cheese. I really like the choice of pickle slice flavors you can self serve yourself. The salad I ordered was a meal in itself. That with a hamburger patty would have been the better meal for me. I've been to twisted root several times and it never disappoints. We went for a co workers birthday lunch. This location is great for large parties. I ordered the spicy goat burger as a turkey burger and no bun. It was delicious, of course. And the fried green beans and carrots. Those are always a treat. I often order these as quick snack. I can't even begin to say how excited I was when I found out they were reopening! I spent a year hounding corporate on information to get my hands on those veggie burgers again! I have gotten food here four different times so far and I do think the quality holds up! The only issue I've found is the staff, I do know that staffing has been difficult for businesses across the board so I don't want it to affect how I feel. My first time at Twisted Root. I've always wanted to go and didn't even know there was one in Coppell. I frequent this area for the other businesses. Onwards....when you walk in you decide what you'd like to order, get your drink, condiments are available in the lobby and the separate dining area, including 4 or 5 types of pickles, ranch, dill, bread and butter and atomic. This was it for me. I love pickles. Wherever I go, if fried pickles are on the menu and they are sliced, not wedges...I get them. Twisted Root did NOT disappoint. The pickles were crispy, the right amount of salty and sour and the breading and chipotle ranch complemented the pickles awesomely. I got the all American burger. Cheeseburger with bacon. I also got the peanut brownie shake. It has brownies with chocolate chips inside of the brownies in chunks inside of the shake. *drops mic* I look forward to going back. read more

Best burgers in Coppell for sure. I love being able to order online and run in to pickup my order. Burgers and chicken sandwiches are so flavorful. But my fave are the fresh cut fries! They hv an assortment of pickles in a barrel as well. Lots of drink options too. From cherry limeade to sweet watermelon iced tea. read more

Pictures do not do justice, burgers were dry they're kind of cold.. they served the fries with what I think is a cheap cheddar cheese. Overall very disappointed. The only good things I can take out of these were the variety of pickles. If you want to eat a good Kraft burger, definitely this is not the place. read more

Sat at the bar for about 15 minutes bartender ignored and never came over, then decided to order our food upfront ordered at 8:00 pm and got our food at 8:45 while the restaurant had very few patrons. After ordering our food we then went back to the bar and asked if a table could be cleared and no one ever came. All the tables (and this is not an exaggeration) were empty with trash. I understand that there are staff shortages, but the customer service was not great unfortunately . Maybe on a different day the service is better,but I wouldn't recommend. Friendly and helpful cashier. The dining room however was pretty filthy. We asked a staff if we could have someone clean off a table for us and he cleaned 1 table and disappeared leaving the rest of the dining room which had dirty plates on almost every table. The sauce bottles and shakers on the tables were sticky and gross and I didn't want to touch them. When the food came, the burger was good however the fries and fried pickles were burnt and soggy. The pickle station by the soft drinks was pretty dirty too. If it hadn't been for the nice cashier I think I may have only had 1 star to give. Not trying to be harsh but it really was that bad. After seeing this place on diners, drive ins, and dives. I was excited to try this place out. Four of us arrived on a not so busy Sat night. Placed our orders with the friendly counter staff and waited. I had a bacon cheese burger and fries. Date had the Cobb salad burger. One of the girls had the kids chicken sandwich with fries, the other had the macho man twisted cheese fries. First my burger was really dry I took a few bites and then just reserved myself to eat the bacon and fries. My dates burger came with a fried egg on top that I really wish I had took a photo of because it was cooked beyond done. Yoke was solid and the white had started to turn black and had the consistency of plastic. It was sent back for a better egg. A better one was provided but just barely. Still over cooked but at least the yoke wasn't completely solid. The kids meals fared slightly better. The chicken sandwich was ok. The macho man fries were good even though we needed a replacement egg for that dish too. I really wanted to like this place but left pretty unsatisfied considering the price paid. Maybe It was an off night? Maybe I just expected too much? Maybe we should have gone to the Deep Ellum location in the TV show? Probably going to stick to Mooya Burger. Sorry. read more

It seems like the same mistakes are happening over and over with complaints about the food. Great burger joint in Coppell. Burgers are fresh with plenty of toppings to choose from. I got the Cobb burger and fries.. Yummy! The fries are season just right and the food was served hot. If you want good customer service, this it not the place to go. They don't greet you when you walk in. A bunch of a teenagers and people watching games on tv and listening to music. I have always "boycotted" Twisted Root after a really bad initial encounter with the Bedford location...HOWEVER, I had no choice but to go to the Coppell location. I arrived early to secure a table for a group of 8 seniors and I was promptly told that they do not do reservations or to go orders. SO, I approached what appeared to be the GM or owner and laid into him about how smug and arrogant his floor manager was and explained why I have NOT dined at any of their establishments. He was gracious, said he understood and reserved a table for us. It's a shame that the food is so good but the service is so poor. We have been here multiple times as it is right near work but this time the bartender was so rude and made unnecessary comments. Last time we came the bar service was subpar so we tipped 15% on a $100 tab, even though we were practically rushed out of the bar because it was closing time and the lady bartender kept giving us a look so we left. This time the same lady as last time told my boyfriend " I'm not going to serve you because you left a bad tip last week".
