Came here around 11:30 am Tuesday afternoon for a lunch with my coworkers. The space was pretty empty when we got there but was quite busy by the time we left. I was sad the lamb was out but they had recently been closed for a week due to a gas leak. My coworkers mostly ordered different tacos. We also had a burrito and nachos for the table. They came out and told one lady that they didnt have what she ordered. She changed her order and they did bot get it correct. Decided to give this place a try and overall it was pretty good!! Absolutely loved the patio seating area; it's very clean and cozy. The server was very kind and even came over to talk to us. We ordered spicy shrimp, barbacoa and al pastor Street tacos as well as a burrito. Portions are great! The burrito was huge and they didn't skimp out on filling it. We were a bit disappointed in the burrito and shrimp tacos lacking in flavor though. The spicy shrimp tacos were not spicy at all. The salsa and toppings really added to them but there wasn't much seasoning to the shrimp or barbacoa. The al pastor taco however was very delicious!! Great Food !!! I couldn't get enough of the Steak Fajita taco. I came in during happy hour and the prices are misleading. I was told when I compared my receipt to the listed drink price that the prices are from the pandemic. Maybe they are focusing on the food but I probably won't come back for the bar experience. But the food is great, will probably just order to go until they figure out what they want to do with the bar. I noticed no bar stools at the bar and I had to pull one up. The only reason i come here is that its not too far away from my office. honestly nothing bad about this place, but nothing screams "wow" either. The most recent time when i order to go on my bowl, the food was really lack lustered. I ended up getting the tandoori chicken. The flavor had a hint of spice, but the problem with it was that it was dry. the chicken wasn't juicy and made the dish boring. They have different types of salsa for you to take next to the soda machine... but sadly it didn't help the chicken bowl. This place seems like a cross between indian and mexican. I used to really enjoy this places's tacos and was disappointed when I saw a new Indian restaurant was taking over their space because I thought they shut down. Well, turns out they just moved locations but this new place is terrible. Unfriendly staff, cramped space, decorations piled up in the corner and now there is an up charge for corn tortillas and no salsa bar. Also, no music--the only thing you hear when you wait for your food is the loud ac unit humming away. There are heating lamps where they put your tacos now. Especially liked the old metal stamped signage at the entrance by the door - very cool vintage stuff. Staff was super cool and attentive, really couldn't want for more. Pricing is par for the course, about what I'm expect to pay. We got the Lockhart nachos as an appetizer that was pretty bomb. I'm not sure if it's because I went close to closing or what but I was not impressed. When taking my order the cashier didn't know what the gourmet taco of the week/month/day/ whatever was on the blackboard was. She never asked for dine in or Togo. This was my first time dining at Gipsy Lime Taco. I liked the open layout of the restaurant, with high ceilings and simple tables. I started with a cup of queso- it was bland and minimal peppers and onions. They offer a "salsa bar" with only four to try. The teeny tiny cups to use for the salsa were on the ridiculous side. I had the ahi tuna taco as well as the Shrimp Po-boy taco. They were on the small side compared to other taco restaurants in the area. They tasted fine but the soft taco shell literally fell apart since they didn't warm them. I had a mess from this and didn't even try to hold the second as a taco- had to use a fork. The person at the register was pulling a double duty- ringing up orders and bringing out the food, so a line formed as people waited. He was patient and friendly- sucks that he was having to do so much. Strange! Will I be back? No. There are delicious Mexican restaurants all along the highway, and I certainly wouldn't crave their food. Bummer! read more

The customer service, food quality, and experience here has always been a 10/10. They make some of the best margaritas I've had with no processed syrups. They do stuff in house here, including the hand pressed tortillas. I love the Calyborian boar and K pop tacos. One of the managers said it best "we make it just like you'd make it at home". I had recently come here a couple weeks ago and I forgot which tacos I got thankfully I did take a video of it and the staff member knew exactly which tackle I was talking about based on the picture that shown him which I was pretty amazed by!! The drinks were reasonably priced and the overall atmosphere is a vibe I really like!! I'm not big into sports, so I did appreciate not seeing football everywhere, but for those who love watching a game and grabbing a beer this place is perfect!! It also has different sections I am yet to explor, like outside, or the couch section near the windows! I got there a little late, but the open plan windows allow you to catch the sunset! That doesn't sound like a special to me. Secondly, none of the food was included in the HH hours. STRIKE ONE & TWO!!! The bartender was super chill and friendly she explained the specials which were decent. We ordered an amaretto sour, Moscow mule and Markers mark and coke. We sat in the patio which had a lovely view of traffic and other surroundings business. The food was slightly on the higher end due to them being specialty tacos. My only complaint was that the taco shells weren't warmed up on the grill. So, you bite into a cold shell with warm filling. STRIKE THREE!!! I've never eaten an al pastor taco that I didn't like, and this place didn't make it an exception. But they went beyond, because the seasoning on the meat was exceptional. It was so flavorful, tasty and well cooked that I felt I hadn't taken but a few bites before it was gone. What is it about tacos that deliver such a punch, but you always feel that you can't get enough of them? Chicken fajita - The chicken was a tiny bit on the dry side, but it was also well seasoned and tasty. Gourmet tacos:- K-pop - I've eaten multiple tacos from their gourmet selection, but this one has to be my favorite. Comes with Korean bulgogi beef, kimchi and scallions. The sauce was tangy and had a kick (from the sriracha) - very good! San Fran Avocado - Their vegetarian offering, comes with plenty of roasted corn, fried avocado slices and topped with a cilantro crema. I wish there was a bit of a kick, or more seasoning, there was something a tiny bit blah about it, but not bad. The line moved fast and the gentleman working the register was very polite. After placing your order they give you a number to place at your table so they can bring your order. The place is pretty big and had outdoor dining as well. It was clean and they had a mini salsa bar to choose a few options if you wanted to add to your plate. I went and filled my water cup and when I returned to my table the server was already bringing my food. The plate was full and looked very good. I normally don't order barbacoa out but decided to try something new and was very happy with my decision. I ordered the barbacoa Bowl and it was awesome. The meat was tender and very flavorful and needless to say I devoured it pretty fast. The portion size was great and the prices are very competitive for what you get.
