I've gone here quite a bit especially when I was in temporary housing and had to eat out before moving here permanently. The food is fresh and there are several burger options fully customizable. They make their own pickles several flavors. What I like best is the decor and the outdoor space including the curious outdoor bathtub sink. We have had a few times where the service has been a bit off but the manager usually keeps things in line and makes sure everything works out in the end for the customer. This was my 1st time ordering Twisted Root. I ordered off of Grub Hub. For a $12 burger, it was good. However, I ordered cooked medium and it was a little underdone. Fries were seasoned well but could have been crispy on outside instead of soft. For the price, the fries should have been included. They were an extra $4.50. The drink was separate also. They charged $3.50 for a fountain drink I ordered a diet cola. It came child sized with no ice, so it was warm. I expected Diet Coke or something name brand. It tasted like the generic cheap sodas you buy at Walmart. For that price. I could have gotten an extra large from any fast food instead of kiddie size. 3.5 stars. Le wagyu burger $12 was pricy. The patty was juicy and tender. It had bitter after taste which was weird. Bottom part of the bun was socky. I guess it was from the patty juice. The top part of the bun was grilled nicely. I tried all of the t pickles and didn't like any. All of them were way too salty. I missed In n Out from m SoCal (cheap and yummy) Onion rings were good. And try a burger "protein style" (on a bed of lettuce sans bun) is a good way to ensure that you've got more room for those jalapeño cheese fries! It's been a while since we were able to go to a Twisted Root Burger Co because our closest location, in Lewisville, closed, so when we were in Coppell and saw there was a Twisted Root nearby, we decided to go. I'm so glad we did. All our burgers were delicious, served with quality meat. As for the sides, both their fries and onion strings are delicious in their own right, and they have a variety of sauces that make them even better. Also, while you're waiting for your food, they have these flavored pickles for you to get and munch on. Last, but not last, instead of the usual Coke, Pepsi, or Dr. Pepper, they have these craft sodas and flavored teas on tap. I never leave good reviews but MAN this place deserves one! I ordered a Tootsies Hot Chicken and it was ginormous! The flavor on this sandwich was sweet with just the perfect amount of spice to give the sandwich a very dynamic and pleasant taste. ‍Make sure to add American & Pepper Jack cheese for that extra juiciness! What a great location to meet- outside seating with shade, park with small splash pad for kids, and cute neighborhood to walk around in. We were one of the first to arrive on a Sunday, and my friend, who is vegan, ordered her usual. However, they did not have her selection prepped and graciously created her an on the fly, delicious vegan burger AND gave a small strawberry smoothie sample for her and baby. We had a recommendation to check out this very interesting burger joint. Ever ordered a camel burger? Elk? Venison? They have it all. Well, kind of. Twisted root always has Buffalo and Waygu beef available but only one of the exotic meats which also includes Ostrich, rabbit, duck and boar. They offer only one to ensure the freshest meat, which is raised locally. The exotic meats rotate regularly. Insider info is that the camel is the best meat to try. I had the Western burger with Waygu beef. It was absolutely the BEST flavorful burger. Wow. Husband had a In the Buff bison burger. Was a bit gamey but still quite good. I'm fairly certain that I reviewed this earlier and it's suspiciously missing. This is NOT the "maybe best burger in Dallas" as it was hyped to be, not by any stretch of the imagination. I'll say that it stacks up nicely against Wendy's and not much further, for about 3 times the price of course. They didn't do anything wrong, but it's _extremely_ ordinary. And the fries are utterly tasteless. Not that I'm saying Wendy's is where you should be going, but just further driving home the point -- I can't remember one fast food fry that I wouldn't prefer over Twisted's. They're awful. I was going to wait til I kinda cooled down before even thinking about a review but after refilling my lemonade and seeing black dots floating around the top of it... First, staff was welcoming, not overly so but OK. Kimberly, whose name is on my receipt was wonderfully charming and obviously new. I suspect that led to our issues. When she was checking us out, the computer wouldn't connect. She changed computers and everything went well. Thirty minutes later, no burgers. Her first action was to go to the original computer. Our order never printed. Bosses were somewhat apologetic but not overly so. That probably reflects their personalities. I'm OK with that. About 7 minutes later, instead of bringing our burgers to us, the beeper thing prompted me to go get it. I was told the fries would be up in 1-2 minutes. Nailed it, 9 plus minutes later the fries came. I normally eat at the location in Bedford. I love that location. I was surprised by all the systemic failures of this location. I refilled my cup with lemonade on the way out. As I put the lid back on, I noticed black dots of something floating in the top of it. Really? Now the up side. I love how this building is built. The food was really good, no complaints about that. However, the service was horrible. I don't blame the staff, clearly there weren't enough people there. But it took forever to get our food, and even longer to get the drinks. The bathrooms were horrible. Clearly they need to get more staff so the customers can be taken care of. It's standard fast casual, walk up, order, get a number or in the case of Twisted Root, a celebrity (we were Brad Pitt!) and wait at your table for the food. Unfortunately we had a family of eight come in right before us so we had to wait awhile to order. But it gave me time to eye the menu and beers that were $1 off during happy hour and eye the pickles. They have a stellar selection of pickles to have as an appetizer or I guess, top hour burgers with! So many pickles, so little time! Dill, ranch, atomic, bread and butter-free pickles for all!! Food came out quick and everything looked awesome. I was disappointed with the side salad though since it was loaded with cheese and bacon. Even though those are two of my favorite things, I like my salads to be a little healthier and the cumin lime vinaigrette was a bit funky. First visit to Twisted Root and the beautiful Texas city of Coppell. Welcomed at the door with the menu and a very friendly explanation that took me through all of my choices. Ordered the All-American and the hand cut french fries. Asked for the french fries to be extra crispy and they were! The kitchen packed the burger and fries all in one carry out box. I asked for the fries to be put in a separate box so they would stay crispy. No problem! Note to store manager: For takeout, Always keep the french fries separate from the rest of the food. The burger itself is HUGE, you may wanna not get French fries but I also did get the fried onions and bacon on my cheeseburger which made it a lot more fuller than the original. Prices are also reasonable compared to that of a, let's say Applebee's. The patty itself isn't really juicy even tho I picked the pink over well done and it isn't too tasty..everything else in the burger and size make it what it is..wish they did have better beef. On my personal overpriced local burger rankings, I still like Twisted Root over Liberty Burger or Rodeo Goat or the Austin-based Hopdoddy. These suburban locations aren't as good as the original for whatever reason, but this one is still good. Twisted Root & Fred's in Texas were here long before these other fast casual chains with $10 burgers. I'm not sure if that means anything. Some of the others have better non-Burger things, but for me the beef here has the best flavor. Your opinion my vary. read more

The Manager Robert did an amazing job yesterday. We have about 20 people till in after a lacrosse game for my daughter 's bday lunch celebration.
