I was here for the Coppell Lunch Bunch lunch at the end of June. There were about 40 of us this week, plus their usual lunch crowd, and they handled the group really well. They have quite a few lunch specials to choose from. I went with the small two-topping pizza and soda special, ordering meatball and mushroom. The pizza was good, although I couldn't really tell the meatballs were meatballs. It was still an enjoyable lunch. A few people at our table ordered the cheesesteak, and it looked really good, so I already know what I'm getting next time! I love good local pizza places that offer up their pies by the slice. You can walk away feeling like John Travolta at the beginning of Saturday Night Fever. The sun is out, you can hear music playing, people are walking by saying hi, all of that. Me? I eat mine ashamed like a troll in some parking lot, away from people and their spying eyes, sitting in my car hunched over like I got punched in the gut. The only gut punch you get here is a full shot of pizza goodness to the belly: perfectly crisp pizza heavily topped with good quality ingredients, not greasy and well-balanced. I continue to believe that hole-in-the-wall restaurants are the best. Gino's, respectfully, is about as hole-in-the-wall as it gets. Tucked in an old strip mall next to a martial arts gym, its a small, narrow restaurant that pumps out really solid NY style pizza and pastas. I did not personally try the pasta, but some Coppell locals we were hanging out with said the pasta is very good. I was feeding kids, so I got an X-Large cheese pizza. 18" pizza for $13. That is a steal! Full disclosure, they are a Lisanti's customer, so the pizza tastes pretty much like all pizza from places that use Lisanti's Food Service for their ingredients, but it is still a solidly good pie. I also got some garlic knots which were very garlicky and delicious, also. Fed 4 kids and had a slice myself for less than $20. I'll take it! read more

The food tasted good but seemed a lil bland when I ate the pizzas but the Ravioli had the flavor that I was looking for. It was warm with just the right amount of everything. Flavor was all balanced. The service was also great. You go in sit down and they hand you menus. The ambiance in the room had its ups and downs. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. I've never had NY pizza, but I imagine this is close? It's like... in between regular crust and thin/crispy crust. Kinda...a light pizza? Not a ton of toppings, but just enough. Not heavy. Yet somehow filled me up. Does that make sense? I ate it for dinner then lunch & dinner the next day. Tasted fresh, even the next day. I have lived right next to this place for YEARS and I'm really disappointed in the fact that I didn't start coming here much earlier. The menu has something for everyone. This is your average italian delivery/tiny restaurant. The prices are cheap, the ingredients somewhat fresh and an exceptional amount of variety. The reason i'm a fan: It's above your average pizza chain that delivers & the prices are good for the portions & quality you get. The food is good and the prices are low, it's a solid lunch place. The $7 small calzone is huge! The restaurant is pretty small and you may not be able to fit a big group without calling in advance. In my opinion this place could be much better with two simple upgrades: - Background music: please invest into some Spotify player and put some Italian playlist. It's dead silent in there and when we entered I thought I was in an hospital waiting area. - Better lighting: the lightning is very bad, put some natural light in there!
