House salad before placing Parm on top
Mark B.

Jennifer is amazing. Great quality of things to consume. Lunch special is wonderful. I got the chicken piccata and my mom got the spinach ravioli. The house salad is a tomato sauce that is unique and delicious. The food was a great temperature and the service was quick and perfect for lunch.

Chicken Parmigiana and Tortellini Alfredo

Tortellini alfredo and chicken parmesan were amazing! Highly recommend m. Service was quick and everyone was super friendly.

Ravioli
Karina T.

The service was great, she was attentive and fun. The place itself was clean. They do offer complimentary bread and it's okay, however the shrimp scampi was delicious. The Shrimp Scampi itself was flavorful, I would say they were a tad shy with the shrimp but not terribly. Would definitely go again

The calamari
Michael A.

This was our first time at Luigi's in Coppell. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. We started off with the calamari. This was one of the better dishes of the night. Crispy and not over breaded, it was a great starter. For the main dishes we had the Chicken Murphy and the Chicken Parmesan. The Chicken Parmesan was ok, the pasta was over cooked and the chicken was underwhelming. The chicken Murphy was pretty good but a little spicier than we expected. The highlight of the night was the dessert of homemade tiramisu. This was one of the best desserts I have had in a while. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back for the dessert and espresso.

Florentine Pizza
Ree D.

I ordered the Florentine Pizza to go and wasn't pleased. I asked for light sauce and it looks like they went light on the cheese too. My pizza crust was delicious but the toppings look half cooked as if they put it in the microwave. It did not look like it was cooked in the oven. I was very disappointed.

Lasagna
Jorge D.

The lasagna was amazing! The servers were very attentive. The patio, along with the Italian music in the background made the whole experience extra special.

Good food with a quaint, local ambiance. Other than the salads, which are grossly over-priced, the menu is reasonable.

We had an 11:00 AM reservation and noticed plenty of open tables and booths (though I'd still recommend booking ahead just in case!). The food was incredible: Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast: I wasn't even hungry when I arrived, but one bite of this sweet masterpiece changed everything. Highly recommend! Croque Madame: My friend ordered this and loved every last bite. Kids' Flatbread Pizza: Smelled amazing the second it hit the table--super garlicky! Her daughter devoured it, and after trying a bite, I'm already eager to come back and try their other flatbreads. Our server was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and fast with both drinks and food. I'm already planning my next visit with my husband. I know he's going to love it as much as I did!

The bartender served us until she got too busy in which a server came in to give us to go boxes and the checks. I had a fantastic experience but not everyone at my table shared the same sentiment. The bartender surprised me with the Espresso Martini (delicious!) and I ordered the Spicy Sausage pasta (yum!). My Espresso Martini was far superior to my friend's Tiramisu Martini. I thought my pasta dish had a balanced amount of pasta and sauce and a superfluous amount of sausage, which I am not complaining about. Unfortunately, I tried my friend's Chicken Parmesan and it was too flat, dry, and the tomato sauce was highly acidic. I guess this place can be a hit or miss, but I enjoyed my picks.

The owner of the restaurant took our order and offered good suggestions. He raved about their Tiramisu and we wanted to try if for dessert. The starters we tried were well seasoned and flavorful. Plenty of parking available in the strip mall. The restaurant offers beer, wines and cocktails with a full bar service. Pricing: Not an inexpensive restaurant but it's worth the money you pay. I've never had anything that wasn't perfectly prepared, flavorful, and served the correct temperature. And that's what really matters in a restaurant, of course. But the vibe is odd. I can't put my finger on it. It's "clique-y". Every time I come, I walk into an empty restaurant with no host. And it seems I've walked in before they opened. They have lots of private events which are walled off with weird partitions. And they sometimes (according to others I overheard) completely close down for private parties. I don't ask for much. I require very little attention. I grossly over tip. And, yet still I feel very unwelcome in this restaurant that I have frequented several times. I don't get it. The other customers were very nice to me, but the staff seemed annoyed by my presence. It's bizarre. Anyway, the food alone earns them a top rating. Pro tip: Do NOT sit at the bar. They don't tell you this: but it's for the regulars. You'll feel like you've wandered into a party you weren't invited to. AND.....order the Prince Edward Island mussels!

Complimentary garlic knots, and when you taste the accompanying red sauce that's your first indicator this is not an average Italian restaurant. Had a house salad with Ranch. This was the only 'standard' item of the meal. Entree, had the Creamy Mushroom Tortellini with Veggies ($3.25 addition, charred broccoli, tomatoes, extra mushrooms). You can get Alfredo or a creamy tomato sauce. I asked the owner's recommendation, he said creamy tomato, I went with that. Oh sweet mama.... C-H-E-F-S K-I-S-S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could not fathom it would be a top tier of all time Italian dish. Totally not expecting, and totally blown out of the water. So much so, I told a buddy who lives 3 hours from Dallas, he & his kids could make a Saturday road trip just to eat a meal here & it would be worth it... I'm visiting from out of state (lived in DFW ten yrs prior), this was a fantastic surprise on the visit. If I'm back in DFW at any point, this will be on the extremely short list while visiting.

Father's Day - I am so disappointed in the service…read more We arrived on time. I was asked how many were in our party. I advised her that we had a reservation. She asked reservation - we do not have any reservations. Again, I stated that I have a reservation with a confirmation and reminders. She said you do? I stated yes, let's not go there and please fix it. I showed her the confirmation. They pushed tables together and we were seated. As we seated, she stated she would get us some rolls. We saw a smaller party, seated after us, receive rolls. We were eating, I asked for some rolls. She stated they are cooking some, they did not have any reservations, and did not plan for many people (like Mother's Day). I reminded that WE had a reservation. We finally received the rolls, closer to the end of our meals. During our eating, I asked her for more napkins - she responded - MORE NAPKINS - I put extras on the tables? I stated we used them (adults, children and a toddler) - we needed napkins. No cool. My son and daughter in love - waited long for their pizza (we all had our meals). She finally brought a pizza to the table and advised that the wrong pizza was cooked. (She did say they could eat that pizza (at no charge), since they have been waiting so long. Before the correct pizza arrived, she did ask if they wanted to box it up (we were all packaged up). So they did take it to go. I asked for two cups of sweet tea to go - she said you want two cups to go, I laughed and confirmed, "Yes, I am thirsty" the tea was very good! She then asked if one was for myself and my son (we both ordered tea (refills are included). We were going to get dessert, we decided, after this meal were not going to order any. After all, we didn't want to need more napkins. #1 - No apology for not having us on the reservation. #2 - She mentioned again we did not have any reservations and not prepared (when I asked for rolls). #3 - Why do we need more napkins - she had put extras on the table. #4 - Ask why I need two teas and who were they for? #5 - My daughter-in-law paid cash. She returned her change without removing the charge (which we had to ask what this fee was; she stated it was an automatic cc fee). My DIL said, "Oh, I have cash." Yet, she still charged the fee; she had to return the fee to my daughter in law. I will state that I budgeted a higher tip because we were a large party. I covered my 3 sons (the dads) and myself. However, I gave her 20% (with much regret). I just could not bring myself to reduce it. So disappointed. Food was good but that type of service!! 06.27.2026 - Finally, after sending *unanswered email, calling for owner(was told the owner would be in Friday and Sat. p.m.). Today, Jessica manager calls me back. She doesn't know their email addresses, said the owner controls the reservation. That they didn't have my reservation. Mind you I asked for the owner. She apologized - hoped we come back. Cassandra

We had no idea it would take an hour and a half for our food to show up. And when it did well, here's how it went. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the wise guy pizza. My wife enjoyed her plate. Based on the last time I ordered the same pizza a year ago what showed up on the table was a sad echo of something that used to be good. The sauce was very thin and to the point of almost being nonexistent. The meatballs were very stingy as if they were trying to increase their margins by short serving a basic pizza. Overall, it was very dry and lacking of any discernible taste. No doubt because it sat in the kitchen for quite awhile, given the unusual duration that it took for our food to show up. I've had better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. It was a very dry and disappointing for something that used to be overloaded with flavor, sauce and meatball chunks. It was a marked contrast from when we had been here a year ago. What used to be a regular go to has turned into a sad disappointment. I'm putting it down to perhaps they had an off night. But we're not in a hurry to come back anytime soon to see if that was the case.
