Clifton staff enjoying delicious Pizza!

"Politano's truly touched our hearts. They generously donated pizza to Clifton Early Childhood School for Teacher Appreciation Week, and it meant so much to all of us. The teachers couldn't stop smiling -- or talking about how incredibly delicious the pizza was. Your kindness made us feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Thank you for making our week so special."

We had a party of 11 people who were seated at the last minute. Service was excellent, food was even better. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Update as of November. Not only is my order wrong, this food is not fresh at all. Chicken is dry and tough. Spicy vidka rigatoni sauce is flavorless and not spicy at all. Literally delivered me food thats not fresh. I ordered it on uber eats and not even ten minutes it's delivered? I see why. Disgusting

Decently good food, at a pretty good price. They have lunch specials every day between 11am and 4pm and the specials are quite budget friendly. I got the 10" pizza with three toppings which includes a drink for $11.99. It wasn't the best pizza I ever had, but it was good. The calamari was also tasty. My friend got the shrimp scampi and that was pretty decent. The shrimp had good flavor. Service was good as well. The lady came by several times to check on us. However, note that we were the only ones in the store that day. Overall, would come back because of the good lunch specials that they have every day of the week. There's a couple of booths and tables inside. It's not a super large space, so not ideal for big groups. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot. It's inside a little plaza.

Starting off strong--the lunch value here is OFF THE CHARTS. The portions are massive, and honestly, two hungry people could split a single entrée and still leave full. The stromboli? An absolute beast. I swear, this thing could've fed a small family--easily 14 inches long and packed with cheesy, meaty goodness. We also ordered the lasagna lunch special, which came with rolls, a salad, and a soda (and the stromboli comes with a soda too--insane deal). Between the two? The lasagna won. But here's where things take a turn... DALLAS. WHY? Why does every pizza place insist on using those crappy, Domino's-style sausage turds (yes, I said it... pellets). PLEASE, for the love of all things meaty and Italian, use REAL Italian sausage--de-cased, sliced, whatever, I'll take anything but these weird meat pebbles. I will pay extra. I beg you. That said, the lasagna was actually great. Instead of a traditional stacked slice, it was a more "free-form" lasagna, with all the ingredients mixed and heated together in a dish. Different, but delicious. Service was solid, the portions are wild, and the prices are unbeatable. Fix the sausage situation, and we might be talking perfection.

I LOVE pasta so unfortunately I have not tried anything else but the seafood combo over linguine because I'm obsessed! It's delicious, fresh and love the flavor. Great location and cozy clean bibe inside for you to eat.

Love the warm cozy feel of this restaurant. The menu has a large variety of traditional Italian dishes and a few non traditional dishes as well. Service was absolutely great. The servers were very attentive. We received our food promptly after ordering. The wait was minimal. The prices were very reasonable. The food was hot and fresh. If you are in the area it's a good place to visit.

Just 1 mile south of Belt Line is New York Pizza Pasta & Subs, and before you think this is just another quick-serve pizza place, you need to give this place a try. Yes, they do serve pizza-by-the-slice at lunchtime for those that want a quick lunch, but they are much, much more. Perusing the menu, you'll find a large selection of Italian favorites such as Parmigiana, Chicken Piccata, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Penne Arrabbiata. Several Salads, Seafood Dishes like Linguini & Clams and Shrimp & Mussels Fra Diavolo, and of course, fine desserts such as Cannoli, Spumoni, Creme Brulee and, my favorite, Tiramisu! They also have a kids menu, as well as Gluten-Free Pizza and Pasta. There's a full bar, including many specialty drinks to pair nicely with whatever meal you choose. The service is excellent, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable, with indoor and covered outdoor seating, and the pricing is affordable. This is definitely a go-to for a nice Italian meal.

The business grew and he opened a handful of other locations around the country. Ambiance: The restaurant is casual, but had a lot of intentional use of the space. There were wine racks, and even a private room where they have pizza making classes ($195 per person ). Service: Our server was Michelle. She was so kind as we danced around the idea of sitting on the patio vs indoors. The patio only had about 2 seats and it was windy that day. We decided to sit inside. Michelle was very friendly, and came by often to check in on us. Food: The pizzas are made in-house and very thin, just like the ones I've had in Italy. They have traditional pizzas and their famous "star" shaped pizzas. We decided to order the star Carlos pizza. The pizza blended Spanish/Mexican and Italian cuisines together by mixing Spanish chorizo, avocado, jalapeño, with ricotta, fresh tomatoes, and Italian Parmesan cheese. The pizza was really delicious!

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Monaco is one of the prettiest restaurants in all of DFW. Dark wood and dark blue seating invite you in. The bar is stunning, with back lighting highlighting their drinks. There's also an outdoor seating area, including a wind shield - perfect when the weather is nice. This is a great spot for a weekend date night if you want something outside of Dallas. 1 Star. Service - Everyone was very nice. We were never rushed, all dishes could be customized to order, and I never had to ask for a refill. Nothing but good people here. 1 Star. Food - Let me start by saying presentation matters, and the dishes at Monaco are great for your Instagram or Yelp feed. I started with the roasted oysters. I chose it because the description said the oysters are "topped with bone marrow butter". That, combined with the roasted breadcrumbs, added a nice crunchy and smooth texture to the delicious oysters. For my main, I went with the Salmon St. Harve. This beautiful dish had a perfectly prepared salmon. Soft and flaky, but with a crunch from the skin at the bottom. It was served on top of grilled asparagus and topped with a cream sauce that brought everything together. Delicious. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's not a secret that I love Water Street. This is an awesome area in the heart of DFW, and I'm so happy there is an upscale restaurant like Monaco that has amazing food. 1 Star.
