    Vegan Plant-Based Pepperoni with jalapeños.
    Briana J.

5 stars across the board! Stopped in after watching the eclipse and it was the perfect meal to end the experience! It's hard to find good, vegan pizza as the cheese plays a vital role - some establishments use vegan cheese that liquifies or some use vegan cheese that's just not tasty. Also, the crust is equally important and Pizza Twist got both right! The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained. When I walked in, I was greeted once the staff member came to the front and promptly received my pizza. Before leaving, he showed the pizza to me to ensure it was up to my standards. The pizza! Best vegan pizza I've had hands down. I got a large vegan pepperoni with jalapeños. The cheese melted perfectly, even had that reminiscent crust on a few parts, and the crust was phenomenal. The marinara sauce was also quite tasty. I can tell that the ingredients were fresh. When a plant based eater questions whether or not the meal is actually plant based, you know you've done it right! I will be back.

Came into the restaurant and it wasn't inviting. Felt like an empty place. No music no nothing. Looked at the menu for about 5 minutes and nobody asked if I needed help with anything. Being here doesn't say dine in with us. Small 10 inch thin crust was $15.

Not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from. Literally the worst pepperoni pizza I have ever had, I have had frozen pizzas that taste better. This place is garbage!!!

The charge $2 for each topping for a whole pizza. But if you get 2 toppings for a single pizza they charge $4 instead if $2 which doesn't make sense. The lahori chicken pizza was nice and flavorful. 4/5 The Manchurian paneer pizza was sweet and we didn't like it as much as the lahori. 1.5/5. The place was big enough but when we went if we haven't seen anyone dinning in where as all places close to this joint has lot of dinning in customers. Probably a take out place. Service was ok.

Let me begin by saying if you like spice, this is hour place. This isn't the run of the mill cheese or pepperoni pizza spot. Everything here is about flavor and spice. With that said I had a promotion opportunity and made the drive to try out this pizza. The staff was was extremely friendly and walked us through the numerous options and even gave us an option to do a 1/2 & 1/2. We order two small pizzas (which was more than enough for 4 people) and 10 wings. Everything came out hot and I must say that I'm usually a pepperoni pizza kinda girl but this took me on an adventure that I liked. All the flavors were good and packed a punch. When I ordered the wings and asked for lemon pepper the guy let me know that they would be covered in lemon pepper and I think yeah, aren't they always like that. Noooo, these weren't sprinkled in lemon pepper, it was more like they were rolled in it. I ended up taking them home, and letting them sit in some melted butter to tone them down. We also got the tequila lime wings, I can say been there done that, not my favorite, but they were okay. Overall a great experience and we had lots of food to take home. If you a vegetarian, like Indian food, like spice or just want to try something different, this is where you want to be.

Pizza Twist is as the name suggests, not your conventional pizza toppings place. The different types of pizza twists lean heavily to having an Indian cuisine bent. Some of the pizzas I tried includes: Three idiots (named after the Bollywood movie) named so in this case because it comes with 3 chicken toppings (spicy, bbq and garlic). In my opinion, the general taste of this pie was that of a classic bbq chicken pizza that you get at other pizza chains. It was nice, but not spectacular, since the flavors were familiar to my palate. Bombay garlic chicken - This will keep the vampires away. Chicken, peppers, garlic and a spicy kick. This pizza was great. It also comes in vegan and vegetarian options, the latter being finished with paneer cheese. Butter chicken - don't let the toppings fool ya. When I took a bite, the flavors of a traditional butter chicken dish that is a standard on Indian menus invaded my taste buds. It has to be the sauce that is under all the cheese and toppings. Well done. The herbaceous notes of the cilantro were magnificent. Lamb kebob - this pizza comes with lamb seekh kebabs split down the middle and cut up to serve as a spicy topping option. The pineapple addition was a surprise to me, one I could've done without. I like the marriage of Indian cuisine with the pizza,, which is a traditional crowd favorite the world over. Hey, maybe concepts such as Pizza Twist can be used as a gateway to people less experienced with Indian cuisine!

Absolutely superb fusion of Indian cuisine and pizza. It was chance that I pulled open the heavy door for a filling lunch that some how managed to not make me feel sluggish and weighed down. You can choose your spice level. I wasn't prepared for how tasty the butter chicken pizza would be, not to mention the curry masala bread twists. I will take this over ordinary Italian-American pizza any day.

I had heard of this interesting pizza place and they were running a promotion, so I drove out last Friday to give it a go. The people working the counter were very friendly and helped with recommendations. I ordered a half and half, chicken tikka masala and Bombay garlic chicken. Medium spice. I have very little experience with Indian cuisine, and I was trying to be bold! Now, the nice man at the counter informed me that there was a mixup in the kitchen, and they had made it all tikka, but if I didn't mind waiting they would throw in another pizza of the other flavor. I don't need two pizzas, and that was the one I was more interested in trying. It was hot and ready. He gave me a card for a free pizza. Service was totally 5 stars. I was hungry and it smelled good, so I found a lovely shady spot and got to it. I honestly have no idea what I ate. Looking at the description of the two pizza flavors, I am not sure either one fit the bill. I think I got someone else's pizza. There were no tomatoes, cilantro, or ANY spice. There was chicken and veggies, I would get a little pop of garlic or ginger every once in a while, but not on every piece. It was tasty, but not what I was expecting and I definitely didn't feel like this was a bold choice. The crust is not like pizza dough. It is very soft and bready. Again, tasty, but unexpected. I was thinking, with more protein, it would make a really good wrapped sandwich. The flavors were good. The unexpected surprise, was eating leftovers cold the next day. The crust was neither dry nor soggy and it held up VERY well. Cold pizza is a horse of another color, and has to be judged differently. Here is where it surprised me. I will go back and if there is a mix up, I will wait next time. Mistakes can happen, and they did everything to try and make it right.

She asked reservation - we do not have any reservations. Again, I stated that I have a reservation with a confirmation and reminders. She said you do? I stated yes, let's not go there and please fix it. I showed her the confirmation. They pushed tables together and we were seated. As we seated, she stated she would get us some rolls. We saw a smaller party, seated after us, receive rolls. We were eating, I asked for some rolls. She stated they are cooking some, they did not have any reservations, and did not plan for many people (like Mother's Day). I reminded that WE had a reservation. We finally received the rolls, closer to the end of our meals. During our eating, I asked her for more napkins - she responded - MORE NAPKINS - I put extras on the tables? I stated we used them (adults, children and a toddler) - we needed napkins. No cool. My son and daughter in love - waited long for their pizza (we all had our meals). She finally brought a pizza to the table and advised that the wrong pizza was cooked. (She did say they could eat that pizza (at no charge), since they have been waiting so long. Before the correct pizza arrived, she did ask if they wanted to box it up (we were all packaged up). So they did take it to go. I asked for two cups of sweet tea to go - she said you want two cups to go, I laughed and confirmed, "Yes, I am thirsty" the tea was very good! She then asked if one was for myself and my son (we both ordered tea (refills are included). We were going to get dessert, we decided, after this meal were not going to order any. After all, we didn't want to need more napkins. #1 - No apology for not having us on the reservation. #2 - She mentioned again we did not have any reservations and not prepared (when I asked for rolls). #3 - Why do we need more napkins - she had put extras on the table. #4 - Ask why I need two teas and who were they for? #5 - My daughter-in-law paid cash. She returned her change without removing the charge (which we had to ask what this fee was; she stated it was an automatic cc fee). My DIL said, "Oh, I have cash." Yet, she still charged the fee; she had to return the fee to my daughter in law. I will state that I budgeted a higher tip because we were a large party. I covered my 3 sons (the dads) and myself. However, I gave her 20% (with much regret). I just could not bring myself to reduce it. So disappointed. Food was good but that type of service!! 06.27.2026 - Finally, after sending *unanswered email, calling for owner(was told the owner would be in Friday and Sat. p.m.). Today, Jessica manager calls me back. She doesn't know their email addresses, said the owner controls the reservation. That they didn't have my reservation. Mind you I asked for the owner. She apologized - hoped we come back. Cassandra

We ate at the Carrollton location last night because it was halfway between our house and my cousin's and his wife's house. Doubt we will purposely return to Carrollton anytime soon. I'm giving a rating of three because the food was a five and the service was a one. I actually don't write reviews very often, and I don't think I've done one in the last two years. But the guy who waited on us was rushing us out before we even got our drinks. We ordered our drinks, and he said, "it's going to take a while because the bar is backed up." (suggestion: That's not a great opening line.) "Do you want to go ahead and order your food?" (To which we said no.) He seemed put out from the get-go. Finally, I had to tell him directly, "We're not in a rush, even though you are." He's probably late 20s, dark hair, a beard, and overall a really poor performer. If he doesn't like his job, he should go do something else, though I doubt he's qualified to do much other than be on welfare. We bought four entrées, an appetizer, and two rounds of drinks. We probably would've bought more but for this really poor waiter. This is a good restaurant with very good food and a good concept. You (owner/manager) need to take much more care on the people side. It's hard to hire good talent these days but you need to do better than this. Good luck. But you need to realize there are way too many choices out there. And, if anything, this review is quite generous.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Monaco is one of the prettiest restaurants in all of DFW. Dark wood and dark blue seating invite you in. The bar is stunning, with back lighting highlighting their drinks. There's also an outdoor seating area, including a wind shield - perfect when the weather is nice. This is a great spot for a weekend date night if you want something outside of Dallas. 1 Star. Service - Everyone was very nice. We were never rushed, all dishes could be customized to order, and I never had to ask for a refill. Nothing but good people here. 1 Star. Food - Let me start by saying presentation matters, and the dishes at Monaco are great for your Instagram or Yelp feed. I started with the roasted oysters. I chose it because the description said the oysters are "topped with bone marrow butter". That, combined with the roasted breadcrumbs, added a nice crunchy and smooth texture to the delicious oysters. For my main, I went with the Salmon St. Harve. This beautiful dish had a perfectly prepared salmon. Soft and flaky, but with a crunch from the skin at the bottom. It was served on top of grilled asparagus and topped with a cream sauce that brought everything together. Delicious. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's not a secret that I love Water Street. This is an awesome area in the heart of DFW, and I'm so happy there is an upscale restaurant like Monaco that has amazing food. 1 Star.

The vinaigrette leaned very citrusy, which overpowered the dish a bit, but I couldn't help thinking that adding some goat cheese would balance it beautifully and elevate the whole plate. Then came the pasta bolognese... and that's where things went downhill fast. The ricotta was completely flavorless, the meat was tough, and overall the dish lacked seasoning. It was honestly one of the most disappointing bolognese dishes I've had. One more thing that really stood out: the interior has carpet flooring. In a food establishment, that feels deeply unhygienic and off-putting. 1/5 stars -- a strong start with the appetizer, but the main course and overall experience completely missed the mark.
