Both times we have eaten at Twisted, it has been top notch! The food is made to order so yes you may have to wait a little longer for your meal. One of the owners used to work at O'Hollerans, she has brought the steakhouse vibe back to Brookings!

The initial rough start is clearly a thing of the past. The service was excellent, everything on the menu was available, presented in generous portions and perfectly cooked. Brookings lost all of its elegant or sophisticated restaurants for a special occasion or romantic night, post Covid restrictions but Twisted definitely meets that high bar! Speaking of bars, theirs is not just beer and wine, rather a full service and Angela pours generously!

The food was A.MAZ.ING. Everything was so flavorful and reasonably priced, even the green beans tasted marinated. The staff was literally so sweet, and there were candles on all of the tables. Get the Prawns, trust me!!

Phenomenal food! I had the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. I had a baked potato and a salad and everything was very good! My friend had the chicken cordon blue and she loved every bite! The service was fast, friendly, and attentive! Great drinks, full bar... the ambiance was perfect for a birthday celebration in that is was fancy but not stuffy. The prices are pretty on point with fresh seafood and the chowder is the best in town!! Trust me, we have tried them all!

Fantastic new restaurant in Brookings Harbor next to the famous Mattie's Pancake Restaurant. Only opened for a few days but the famous Chef and the manager from the old O'Holleran Steak Restaurant now long closed command a throng of old faithfuls like my wife and I to show up on Monday evening without a reservation and saw the huge remodeled beautiful restaurant fully occupied. There were over twelve large and small tables all occupied with reserved seats and walk-in guests like us. We tried Coconut Shrimps, Stuffed Mushrooms with Sausage, Cesar salad with chicken and Fettuccine Le Mer and two glasses of house Merlot and Cabernet. Absolutely delicious and beautiful service. You must try this new but very familiar and answer to my prayers for high class entity in Brookings! My foodies: Go forth and do not hesitate. Try everything! Five big Yelp stars.

A leveled up dining experience. The service and the food motivated me to write a review. Colleen was attentive and great at what she does. My husband had the top sirloin and I had the Fruita De Mar (seafood pasta). Both were delicious!

The the beef and veggie soup was delicious. The spice was amazing. It felt like autumn in a bowl, the blackened fish with the veggies and baked potato with everything on, it was delicious, the blackened fish had an amazing cook and spice on it melts right in your mouth had an amazing flavor and taste, the dessert was amazing with a warm brownie in the scoop of vanilla ice cream on it with the chocolate drizzle over it it will have all the chocolate lovers and love with this dessert. The service was amazing even on a busy night, very friendly and attentive they brought out our food in a timely manner. The ambience was amazing. It felt like an elegant restaurant. Everything was 10 out of 10 definitely would recommend on going

He welcomed my husband and me before we were even locals. While we were vacationing and mentioned we hoped to move here, he immediately started asking around to help us find a rental. After we finally arrived -- exhausted, overwhelmed, and staring at a giant U‑Haul with no help -- Kyle stepped in again. He found someone to unload it, a sweet kid who also cooks there, and his kindness meant more than I can put into words. Every time we've seen Kyle, whether at the bar or out in town, he shows the same genuine care for people. He doesn't just run a bar -- he builds community. And Lorraine, the longtime waitress, is incredible. She's one of the hardest‑working, most thoughtful servers we've ever met. She remembers people, pays attention, and somehow manages to be everywhere at once while still making you feel like you're her only table. The Lucky Pirate isn't just a place to eat and drink -- it's a place where people look out for each other. Kyle and Lorraine make it feel like home.

It's pretty unassuming from the outside, but once seated, the wait staff took great care of our party of 15. The food was reasonably priced with decent portions and excellently prepared. Our party ordered a wide variety off the menu, and no one was disappointed. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and that everything was to our liking. I wish we lived closer so we could frequent more often.

Party of three and went in to celebrate a birthday. We ordered: 1 oyster shooter, 1 crispy oyster appetizer, 1 patty melt, 1 cheeseburger basket, and 1 fish & chips. She walked away and we had to call her back to order drinks. The oyster shooter came out quickly. It was huge! We also saw another guest with a whole crab. We then realized that there was a seasonal crab menu. Our server never told us about the special menu. I would have easily ordered the whole crab or seafood tower (I forget what it's called but it had scallops, crab, sirloin, etc.). Our meals came out, patty melt, cheeseburger, fish and chips, and crispy oyster appetizer. Wait...what? Why didn't the crispy oyster come out with the shooter? Oh...because our server gave us a meal instead of the appetizer since it had a pile of French fries with it and we were charged for it! Overall, the meals were good. Our daughter enjoyed her patty melt. My crispy oysters and fish and chips were OK, nothing to write home about. Also, the server did not ask how I wanted my fish and chips since the menu offers them deep fried or grilled. They came deep fried. Either way is fine with me but if there is an option, the server should know that and ask. After our meals, we ordered two slices of brown butter cake and instead were served two pieces of mile high chocolate cake. At this point, it was useless to complain to the unattentive server. Probably won't go back.

It was at least 40 minutes from the time we ordered to the time our food started showing up and, for whatever reason, our French toast kabob appetizer didn't come out until the rest of our mains. The bigger problem was the Irish Filler. Of the two strips of bacon it came with, one was overcooked to the point of being brittle and hard to chew, while the other was way undercooked so the fat had just barely started to render and had that sort of gross gelatinous texture. On top of that, I had to send it back twice because it was missing the gravy and the corned beef; both of which are standard ingredients included in the base recipe. Our server was very apologetic and was quick to return to the kitchen for the missing ingredients. Unfortunately, when the dish was complete I dug in only to find the entire thing lukewarm to the point that the cheese hadn't even melted over the potatoes in the bottom of the bowl. By that point I just wanted something in my stomach so I just sort of picked at it until I was no longer starving, but I didn't even bother with a box for the leftovers. To be fair, the Top o' the Mornin' omelette and the breakfast burrito with sausage were really good; generous portions and cooked well. But I feel like when your brunch menu only consists of like ten items to begin with, you should probably excel at all ten of those items. Hopefully this was just a one-off and not indicative of their usual quality but with a variety of other local places to choose from, I can't say for certain that I'll be trying my luck here again.

They make their own vodka and it's quite nice. Do yourself a favor and try any of the Superfly specials with it, they'll surprise you. They do have a food menu, but it's a martini bar first and restaurant second. The food was pretty decent, but the knife work, plating and ratios showed the experience behind the stove. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told I could order fish tacos even though it wasn't on the menu. I love a good grilled fish taco so I went for it. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned well, the green and orange sauces were good if a little too mild, and the tortillas were the right style but not grilled quite enough. Also, there was very little cilantro or onion and almost no cabbage so they weren't as filling as I would have liked. My wife had the Katsu Chicken Salad. It arrived plated like it was deconstructed: the katsu on a bed of lettuce greens with very thick slices of vegetables around around the plate and the dressing on the side. It was odd, clunky and the katsu was under seasoned. The peanut dressing was divine though, my wife said she could have drank that like milk. There are some other dishes I'd like to try and their drinks were fantastic so we'll definitely try them again.

My wife ordered the Agedashi Tofu & Pork Gyozas and I had a couple of rolls, the spicy Rouge and a plain Jane salmon, avocado and cucumber roll. Everything was fantastic. The fish was super fresh, the tofu cooked perfectly and the gyoza sauce tangy and yummy. We only had a couple of small issues, more personal preferences really. 1 - my wife enjoyed the tofu, but the dish is described as having an agedashi broth but really it was more of a thicker style sauce smeared on the plate the tofu was placed on. It didn't really have a true broth. 2 - the habanero marmalade was not spicy. The roll was described as a spicy roll, but the marmalade was sweet. Unfortunately, the jalapeños were sweet as well. I know they can't control capsaicin in peppers, but that marmalade needs way more habanero. It would be WONDRFUL on toast though! Note: looking at their menu now they have updated this roll to replace the marmalade with a "tangy sesame". I look forward to trying this to see the difference.
