We have been here at least 10 plus times. Each time our meal is served with such care and you can really feel the love they put in each dish. From the moment the plate is set in front of you until the very last bite ( or take home box , because there is always plenty of food) each bite it so so tasty and all the flavors!! My favorites are the chicken cordon bleu and chicken parm!! My partner loves the prime rib and any other red meat they offer! I would highly recommend from a special night out to I am hungry and want an awesome meal and great service!! Way to go Team James and Angela !!! The initial rough start is clearly a thing of the past. The service was excellent, everything on the menu was available, presented in generous portions and perfectly cooked. Omg this place is the place to go.. The service is spectacular, we had Si as our server, he was so sweet, Russ and I both thought he was cool. Then our food came, yummy. Russ had clam chowder. It was to die for. I had a salad and loved it. For dinner they had a salmon special which Russ ordered . Delicious. I ordered the ribeye with smokey Blu cheese. Hello! Fantastic new restaurant in Brookings Harbor next to the famous Mattie's Pancake Restaurant. Only opened for a few days but the famous Chef and the manager from the old O'Holleran Steak Restaurant now long closed command a throng of old faithfuls like my wife and I to show up on Monday evening without a reservation and saw the huge remodeled beautiful restaurant fully occupied. There were over twelve large and small tables all occupied with reserved seats and walk-in guests like us. We tried Coconut Shrimps, Stuffed Mushrooms with Sausage, Cesar salad with chicken and Fettuccine Le Mer and two glasses of house Merlot and Cabernet. Absolutely delicious and beautiful service. You must try this new but very familiar and answer to my prayers for high class entity in Brookings! My foodies: Go forth and do not hesitate. Try everything! Five big Yelp stars. read more

Where do I even begin with this AMAZING! Establishment! The workers are so fun and incredible! You can really tell they love their customers and job. The food on the other hand has got to be the best Italian dish I've ever tasted, I got the classic lasagna and loaded potatoes soup. It was PHENOMENAL! It felt like autumn in a bowl, the blackened fish with the veggies and baked potato with everything on, it was delicious, the blackened fish had an amazing cook and spice on it melts right in your mouth had an amazing flavor and taste, the dessert was amazing with a warm brownie in the scoop of vanilla ice cream on it with the chocolate drizzle over it it will have all the chocolate lovers and love with this dessert. The service staff are very overwhelmed. The specials listed on the board are not specials to everyone but only to the specified veterans which they do not indicate. (Picture attached) the prime rib special (39.00) was below marginal in flavor. ( hint when in doubt with prime rib add McKormicks seasoning, rosemary and garlic) the prime rib had no flavor added. The spaghetti and meatballs was mostly oregano and generic pasta sauce. The meat balls were good sized (3 of them) but overwhelmed by oregano. This restaurant was recommended but I would say try Catalyst before this one. Brookings is a very small town and limited on choices but if you want to play the part of a high end restaurant the you need to come close. Twisted is not even close. Sorry but my opinion. read more

First time here. Food was excellent. I ordered the fruita de mer which was chock full of seafood. The king crab legs were disappointing (dry) and messy. Please provide some towelettes for guests. My wife got the top sirloin which was cooked to her liking. She said her meal was excellent. Overall, prices were good and the quality of food was fantastic. A couple things I noticed. Not deal breakers but the staff needs some better training: Servers crouch at your table which is odd. Psychologically, it tells me that they want to buddy up to me. I am not paying for friends, I am paying to be waited on. When they stand, they have a much more commanding presence, telling me that they know the food and they are in charge. Our server forgot to bring the garlic bread which came with my meal and never offered refills on our drinks. I had to ask for the bread which the menu states, "served with your choice of soup or salad, and garlic bread." Our hostess was a little grumpy, needs to be more professional. Most servers were clearly chatting it up with locals, ignoring our basic needs. (We are somewhat local, live in Crescent City.) Would definitely go back. read more

From, the bread basket (could have eaten more) to the appetizer of a shrimp cocktail which was fresh and the fresh cocktail sauce all of it was delicious. We both ordered a cocktail Lavender Martini and Old Fashioned. Very good. Loved the sugar rim. We both ordered the clam chowder and it was a step above standard chowder. My ribeye was cooked perfectly med-rare and sublime along with a yummy baked potato and crunchy green beans. The Filet of Beef was delicious and cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes tasty but I think the baked potato was better. We got the chocolate cake to go. Rich and delicious. The only ding in service was the bussing of our table. We had quite a pile of dishes that sat longer than they should. The runner (guy who brings the food out) was working hard, even getting drink refills for patrons. That guy deserves APPLAUSE because he was getting it done and more. Server was friendly and attentive. Decor is warm and inviting. Definitely worth a visit you won't be disappointed! read more

I was very excited to take my family to twisted. I arrived in Brookings at 5. Went to the park and then at 6:52pm I called and asked if they had room for 2 adults and 4 children. The hostess said I could have a table in 15-30 minutes. I responded if "I can be there in that time frame can you have a table for us". Yes and she took my name. I went and picked up my whole family. And we arrived at Twisted at 7:15. 5 restaurant staff passed before we were received. Executive chef. Someone will be with you shortly, two servers, and the manager. Finally the hostess came and said I'll have you taken care of quickly and she went to scope out space. 5 minutes later she returns and says unfortunately it's going to be 45 minutes to wait. Citing a flood of people had come in. I mentioned that she had committed a table to us and she babbled an excuse that such is the life of restaurant. It can get busy. I asked politely for a manager. The manager came up. Didn't take a moment to acknowledge any concerns she just stated. "Sorry we don't take reservations. It's says on our website. I didn't take your name. " the host took my name and committed a table. She continued with a few other random excuses. Changing of a ticket system last night. And whatever else. No apology. No concern that they had made a mistake and then honestly gave really poor service and excuses. Pretty disappointed in the service. But it was a good lesson I got to talk with my children about how you don't treat customers like that. read more
