The smash burger is spot on, deliciously seasoned on a soft bun and the all meat chili is perfect. We showed up right when they opened. Service from Warren was quick and friendly. We had been snacking throughout the day, but since it was getting late, I wanted to have an authentic dinner. Many places were closed, so I searched for nearby options that looked decent. I found a highly-rated restaurant and decided to give it a try. The vibe of the place was lively, and it was filled with a younger peeps. I noticed that several older couples walked in, looked around, and then left immediately. My partner and I, being the oldest people there, decided to stay--and we were glad we did! We were impressed with the food and drinks. The Mini Gyros were a standout dish; the tender lamb and beef were packed with flavor, complemented by tomato, cucumber, feta, and creamy tzatziki. The Chicken Strips were also delicious, especially with the crinkle fries. We enjoyed our drinks as well--a classic Old Fashioned and a Margarita. It was amusing that the background music was from our generation, which brought back fond memories of our youth. We had fun watching music videos from the 1990s to the early 2000s, especially since most of the customers were in their 20s. My sister took a fried for a drink and to order to go. The bartender failed to acknowledge them and when she finally did she was a mess. She could not make a margarita. Got the order wrong. Brought the order out on plates instead of To go. They smash burgers was incorrect and she over charged her for a fourth burger. My wings were not crispy. What a nice new addition to the restaurant and bar block of beautiful downtown in Brookings, Oregon! The two months brand new bar and restaurant is in the same location that had Compass Breakfast Cafe that just moved one block south. Wicked Pig serves several craft beers including Hazy IPAs and other lager type in cold mug. The happy hour price is $5 per pint, $8-12 for full plate of wonderful appetizers including serious loaded nachos and pulled chicken and pork sliders. There were many patrons who came from other restaurants around to have quick bites and a beer. The place was served by a young lady bartender and a grill cook who was fast and furious. I'm going back there ASAP. You should also! There are other fantastic eateries around. read more

Bar food at best. Cold food served in and on paper. Slow mediocre service. No fryer so French fries are the frozen crinkle cut type popped in a warming oven. Chili dog consisted of canned chili over half warm salty hot dogs. If you've been drinking and need to eat, then you're probably happy with this grub. read more

Just went to the Pig and ordered a margarita and beer and then placed an order to go for 3 smash burgers and some wings. The girl didn't even know how to make a margarita but since she was new I let it slide even though it didn't resemble a margarit. When the pager went off I went together the food and even though I said to go, it was plated so the cook had to take everything back and make it to go. Then I found out I was charged for 4 burgers but since it already took almost an hour to get the food I just took it. Got home only to find the burgers were so dry and had no flavor no one could eat them. I called and complained to the girl who said I'll tell someone and hung up. I used to brag about the pigs smash burger, it was one of the few things I enjoyed, but I will never go back there again. read more

This place was a shocking great find in Brookings. Food: Better than expected "bar food". Very tasty. Service: Friendly and accommodating. Prices are fair compared other restaurants which are more expensive. Ambiance: The vibe at this place is so hip and fun!! Reminds me of EDM fest. Totally the hippest place to party on the Oregon and California Coasts. When I was there the whole bar was singing along to music. Then house music started!! Awesome! Stopped in after photographing an elopement nearby as it was one of the only places open after 9. All I have to say is Chipotle who?! The pork bowl was to die for! It's just a small little place not a lot of room, but the food came out very quick, hot and really really delicious. I highly recommend the barnyard burger. It's the most yummy burger I've ever had. We were in Brookings for work and noticed this place had good reviews so we tried it. It feels like they opened without being fully ready. They had smash burgers but no fries. I guess they don't have a hood vent so no fried foods. The place smelled like a greasy diner and it did not disappoint. The smash burger was so fatty all I could taste was the grease. It was disgusting. Also, when you enter there are no signs that say order at the bar. We probably sat for 5 minutes while the bar tender looked at us but didn't take our order or tell us we had to order at the bar. The food was expensive for what you got and I was very unimpressed. Hope they make it but I will not be returning. Also, this was a Monday night and they did not have a TV subscription to watch the Monday Night Football game on ESPN so we got to watch You Tube music videos. Lol. read more

So having been here before I honestly expected more than what I got this evening. Previously the food was not bad and the prices were good, however this evening my smash burger only tasted of grease and seemed like 1/2 the size of what I previously received on earlier visits. I got a cider from their tap and it was undrinkable. They need a larger variety of drinks on tap, and when it is so limited they need to not have undrinkable flavors. The service was quick and efficient, but overall it was very lackluster. Having been in a few months ago they said they were getting a fryer for fries and such, and still months later they have not gotten one. The people were great.. the bar food which we ate outside because of the age of our teens was good as well. The rice in our Greek bowl was upscale and veggies fresh tasting. The picnic bench was very easy on the bottom. Well sanded and smooth. Nachos and jalapeños finger looking good to this Mexican. They kindly put a candle in the burger (big yummy burger) for my sisters birthday. Give this place a chance.
