We went to Windsor Mill Tavern Saturday Evening, 6th of December and we absolutely LOVE it!…read more The staff seems to love their jobs, the service is amazing and the food is delicious and comforting. I had the delicious crab cake appetizer and Salmon in Beurre Blanc Sauce and my husband had the Fried Cheese Curds and Stuffed Pork chop. Both absolutely delicious. Best Mashed potatoes I have ever had. This was our second time at Windsor Mill Tavern and we love the warm Irish Pub Style atmosphere. Only thing missing is a fireplace! This is our new favorite hangout after having moved here to Severance, Co this past March. We love it. Oh! And the seats are comfortable as well. We will be back. Love having a place that is only a couple miles away from where we reside! Well done staff and management! This place is a gem!!!! And the prices? Quite reasonable!

Great spot in Windsor. It was packed on a Friday night, definitely suggest a reservation. We waited…read moreabout 40 min for two of us without reservations. We started with the Cheese Curds - these were great, the breading on the curds had really good flavor. Would order again. For entrees we ordered; bacon avocado burger - their burgers are huge, and a lot of great flavor. Would definitely order again Cup of bison chili - chunks of bison meat in the chili and was a nice portion. The flavor is good, I'm glad I tried it and would order again. Moody blue salad - this salad was big and packed full of goodies, it was the best salad I've had in a long time. The balsamic dressing was so good, mixed with the candied pecans and blue cheese, so good! I'd come back simply for this salad. Our server was a little spread thin and had tables on opposite sides of the restaurant, so we felt a little neglected, but when he was around, service was great. Just had to wait for long periods of time for water/drink refills. Overall, glad we stumbled upon this place and will definitely come back again.

I can't give this place 5 stars, as I simply did not spend enough time there to adequately absorb…read moreeverything it has to offer. I did enjoy it, but was only there about 10 minutes, and I'd just need to go back and spend more time. Anyway, I was visiting nearby and saw this on the map and rode a bike over. Really cool little drinking "court" inside the garden shop. Cool ambience and vibe. I was there early on a Sunday and was the only one there, but I liked the feel of the place. Service was friendly. I tried one beer and got a 4 pack of the distillery's fairy root beer to go. (Fairy Root beer = their house made absinthe + their house made root beer). I am not a big fan of absinthe (the licorice notes), but I had to try this. The two elements go really well together, and I must say the combo grew on me, the more I drank it. The distillery and brewery here sell their different items for purchase, beers and spirits. I would have bought more items, but I had limited space in my suitcase. If I lived nearby, I would be back. Best of luck to the businesses here.

Such a fun spot! It's wonderful to have a cool, local place to take beer and non-beer drinkers -…read morethe seasonal cocktails are always outstanding so be sure to check them out! They don't rely on drinks and vibe alone though, the service is what really makes this place special. Every server we have had has been attentive, fun, and sweet, and really transforms this into a "third space" that Windsor benefits from as a community. If you're lucky you may even get a visit from Rajah, the Queen (aka, shop kitty). Please just make sure you check the hours before you go - they aren't really open the hours you might expect for a brewery/distillery. We've had a few disappointing evenings rolling up after work to find out that they were already closing. It's worthwhile to find the time while they are open to visit!

3 stars because I'm still on the fence on a few things, but we'll be back to experience and share…read moremore. Service was amazing. No wait. Plenty of smiles and maybe one of the few genuine "we're glad you're here" vibes I've experienced in N. Colorado. Yay for customer service! Clean and open entryway. A few arcade games when you walkin gives a nice fun flair. They have booths, tables, and a sizable bar that spread along the windows letting in the sunset glow. Busy wall decor for those who like that sorta thing. It was very clean and open in there so it didn't feel cluttered or messy. Menu is "bar food" and fried; think happy hour.... But wait there is no happy hour there? It didn't appear so anyways. We looked at the menu beforehand so we were looking forward to a variety of fried goodness! For those who are looking for veggies to maybe balance the plate- this is not the place. The food was good and cooked to our request. Beverages- beer and cocktail list, Pepsi products. Paper towels at the table for folks who are getting down with wings. Catfish are two 4 oz filets; they definitely were tasty, seasoning was great and the lemon slice was a nice touch. I was underwhelmed by the plate:price ratio ... and I understand what type of economy a new business must be facing... And not many places here have catfish on their regular menu, so I can be humble and content. They won my heart over with a full plate of battered fries and condiments galore. Buffalo wings were great. Loved the sauce with the extra jalapeño pieces on top. Wish there were a few more carrots/celery on the plate. I'm not a huge fan of the tray vs. plates or baskets, however, am aware that it's an eco-friendly choice and likely helps cleanup/dishwashing duties in the back. I would like to try one of their hot dogs and the apps before I feel like I've been given an impression of their menu. I am looking forward to it and imagine I'll be able to add the 4th star to my review and/or to get more of a feel for why I'm "on the fence." Zoltar sent us and we're so happy we visited!
