Today is my first negative review and I've been a regular over the past decade! I ordered a beer and was paying cash so I had an open tab. I planned on only drinking two beers so cash seemed like a good idea. I then had a random bartender (Alexis) come to me and say, Her: you have to pay the tab (hostile from the jump) Me: Sure , give one more and close it out. Her: no you can't get a new beer till you pay the first one. Me: okay I'm paying them both now and pulled out cash. Her: no you can't pay that way I need money for the first one before I ring in the second one. Me: that makes no sense this is how I'm paying. Friend (regular): add it to my tab no problem (to deescalate the situation) Her: no he needs to pay for it This is were she decided to make it a power issue. Weird dominance exhibition I've never seen. She then went on to tell the other bartenders, " don't give him a beer till he pays the first one." I went about 10 minutes from the original bartender giving me the beer to this interaction. I've never experienced a bartender on a rampage anywhere before. I've had minimal interactions with her so she had no reason to be angry. I've personally ignored ordering from her because she's very unpleasant. Never smiles, slow to serve and constantly texting. I than asked a different bartender to cash me out and put in a new beer and said I can't because Alexis. Clearly whatever issues she's having in life she cared into work today and as a customer we shouldn't have to deal with it. This was actually my first time ever eating here and I believe since I didn't get the wings that I may have cheated myself on hood food. We didn't get the name of it but tit was really good and did have a similar taste to blue moon. My sister had a house margarita and said it was really good. It wasn't too sweet not too strong. Because of Valentine's Day coming, the women wore lingerie themed clothes. Which is fine I am not complaining: however, I think it's inappropriate that children are allowed in the restaurant for these themes. I feel uncomfortable when women are walking around in their underwear with children present, this isn't ok. I just think these kind of themed times should be 18+. We like this location, but it gets super busy because lots of folks like it, too. My son's birthday fell on an early weekday this year, and he chose to go here for his dinner. We were promptly sat and greeted by our waitress, Lynn. Our order for drinks and apps was placed and delivered quickly. (Try the cheese bites!) Dinner order was placed and we snacked on our apps and our drinks were kept refilled without asking and Lynn was attentive. My husband let them know that it was my son's birthday, so as the meal wrapped up, Lynn and the hostess came over to surprise him. He wasn't super stoked for the attention, and Lynn was respectful of him and just said happy birthday and took pics with him. We are definitely going back specifically for Lynn to serve us. My friend had a burger and thought it was excellent. I had Mom's Pot Roast with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans. The portions were large. The Pot Roast was delicious. The sautéed beans were excellent--not overcooked. I had a 22oz draft Modelo for $5 and my friend had a bottle of Modelo Negra. Received the second order and still missing coke and cuban. They added a half of the cabbage that someone else is probably missing.
