The food was very good. It is nice to have the opportunity to try pizzas by the slice so you can have more variety. The most surprising thing about Toss was how good their Italian sandwich was. I was blown away with the flavor. This place would have gotten a five star rating if the service was better. We had to wave the waiter down multiple times and he didn't seem very attentive. When you think about pizza, you think about passion and a mom and pop place that actually cares about what they're putting out. Clearly that is not the case here. I was visiting Austin and craving pizza and a meatball sub, and this was the closest option. Absolutely disgusting. The bad: Maine Root root beer is my favorite so I was pumped to see the fountain drink serve Maine root sodas. "Ahhh we are out of root beer." Imagine my disappointment. Then I see brunch is served, but there's no brunch menu. When I asked for one: ahhh, let me see if I can find one. At that point, I was too hungry so I stuck with water and ordered my food. This is probably our go-to dine-in pizza place now. If you just do a head to head comparison of pizza to pizza, I think Home Slice still beats Toss, but it's close, and Toss has a lot of extras that put them over the edge. There's some charm to eating your pizza standing on the corner of So-Co watching dogs and tech-bros go by, but it's not what you want every time. So... Toss. Lots of toppings. Really good pizza. I just stick with garlic and peperoni, but there are SO many options, and the crust and sauce are just right. Lovely ambiance. It's got like an indoor/outdoor almost beer garden thing going on. At least so far it's not usually too busy. A healthy crowd, but it's stays fairly chill. The service is a little meh, but it's not bad, it's just kind of a spread out restaurant, and they seem maybe a little understaffed? No one's been rude, just not very attentive. Again, compare to Home Slice... at least there is service? For me, the champion, is s'mores. I can't fathom why more places don't have s'mores as a desert. It's fast for them to make. it's delicious. It's something that's kind of a hassle to make a home. Feels like an easy win. I'm not a HUGE pizza fan, so if I'm going to be hyped about going to a pizza place for dinner (which I'd liked to be, because my family loves pizza) than having those little extras on the menu is a big plus. My one complaint, and it's pretty major, but I didn't dock a star for it, is some of the seating. OMG... the most uncomfortable stools you have ever sat on in your whole life. I truly almost didn't finish my meal my tailbone hurt so bad. I don't know what in the world they were thinking with those stools. Actually, it consists of a small (almost cramped) inside space plus an outside space where kids can yell and run around. There were plenty of kids inside, too. I saw only two waitresses, plus one guy who seemed to be cleaning up rather than serving, and one bartender. This was simply not enough staff! I had trouble getting a waitress's attention to order. I don't blame her; not only was she overworked, but also it was hard to tell who was there to eat in rather than pick up. However, it made me late for an appointment I had afterward. Prices were low. I got half of a 20-inch pizza for $15. To put that in perspective, it's 38% more than a 12-inch pizza. Beer and cocktails were likewise good buys. The pizza was adequate. But get this... the queso is MELTED VELVEETA.. very gross. Listen guys, you are in TEXAS. You CANNOT get away with using a melted block of synthetic cheese as an appetizer.. especially in Austin where everywhere serves queso and truly some of the best are local. Maybe that worked in Minnesota or Michigan or wherever up north but that is NOT okay here. There's a beautiful covered patio that has a ton of potential. First and foremost, I do not write reviews, and I am incredibly patient and understanding with issues in restaurants as well as servers being busy. We went to toss on a Thursday night, not busy by any means. Ordered a pizza, waited for an hour with zero updates on the status of our order. After an hour of waiting our server told us "sorry for the wait they messed up the pizza twice". Apparently they burnt the first one and broke the second one in half. No problem, accidents happen, the issue is that we were not informed about any of these issues or checked on for a hour while we waited. We then told our server that we didn't get any plates, or the hot honey or ranch that we ordered on the side. After about 10 minutes our server returned with these items, except the hot honey was actually just a cup of maple syrup. We told our server that it was maple syrup and not honey and her response was "we don't have maple syrup". No problem, accidents happen, but accountability goes a long way. She then returns with a cup of hot honey and tells us they made it spicier since we probably thought it was maple syrup because it was sweet. We then asked her to smell the syrup. When she did her response was "oh yeah this is maple syrup". No apologies for anything other than the initial "sorry about the wait" and we had to get up from our table and walk up to the server station to ask for our check. I completely understand that businesses are understaffed and people have bad days, but apologies and explanations go a long way in my eyes in the service industry. read more

However the flavor of the garlic parm is pretty much oil with a hint of garlic. One of my drums bones was cracked in the middle and stabbed my gf in the gums leaving a very obvious puncture wound in her mouth, yall gotta double check for broken bones, swallowed it can be very hazardous and potentially get someone in the hospital. I do believe that was an accident, but none the less, toss check your stuff! This is the third time they forgot our ranch when ubering through Uber eats so id save the dollar and just use the one you have at home. Toss serves New York styled pizza, Texan style that either comes in a slice, half or full pie. The half serves 4 hearty slices, which is an easy share (or not). I ordered the Spinach Artichoke pizza, which was a half pie topped with romano cream sauce, chicken, spinach, artichoke, and mozzarella (also typically served with bacon, but I'm particular about bacon). Surprisingly, the Spinach Artichoke pizza was not as creamy or savory as expected. The chicken was dry, and you definitely need to add a dash of salt to this. We also ordered 12 wings, half in the Sambal Glaze and the other half in Sesame. The wings were crispy, but needed more sauce. I would advice to ask for a side of both sauces to slather on top. My personal favorite of the two was the Sambal Glaze, as this was sweet & spicy. read more

You can order individual custom slices, or half a pizza they have curated and of course a whole as well. I got a half of the South 1st Supreme ($17) which could feed two people.
