I gave Twilight Nails another chance after years away and booked pedicures for my mom's birthday. Huge mistake. From the moment we sat down, it felt unsanitary -- old, deteriorating polish bottles and cold soaking water. The situation quickly escalated when the technician cut my mom twice, causing her to bleed so badly someone had to hold pressure for 15-20 minutes. Even worse, the technician who helped stop the bleeding tried to continue working on me without changing her gloves. I had to tell her multiple times before another employee intervened. This was also the worst pedicure I've ever had -- barely any scrubbing, no care, no attention to detail. Despite injuring my mom on her birthday, the staff offered no apology, no accountability, nothing -- just her 10% birthday coupon. The owner didn't say a word. This place is dirty, careless, and completely ignores basic infection-control practices. I will never return and strongly warn others to stay away. read more

TL;DR -AVOID, improper tool use, injury, no customer support. The tech used the mechanical grating thing that they use to smooth the nail bed and remove no-chip on my cuticle bed. She had been painting my nails red with no chip and it spread onto the skin, so she used the mechanical grating thing to try to remove it and took the whole top layer of my toes flesh with it. It bled after she treated it numerous times with their liquid disinfectant. She finished my toe no chip and told me to put on my shoes but I refused- I wore the flip flops they provide while finishing my manicure. During the manicure my toe bled all over the floor and the flip flop. It's been hurting and stinging every day. I had this done on Tuesday. It's now Thursday- it is STILL opening and oozing blood and hurting. They charged me $70 for a no chip pedi and no color basic mani. I had to ask for a discount due to the injury- no one even offered it! The manager couldn't feel bothered to come out of his office, despite being next to us when I was injured. They knocked $7 off my bill, grand total of $63 for a painful, oozing bleeding wound on my toe that won't heal, and a crappy customer treatment experience. The tech needs to be re-certified- she had no idea how to use her tools, and the manager doesn't care. read more

Since the store was sold to new owners and my fav nail tech left- I have now ventured to the city to do my nails. This place has lost its warm ambience and has turned into what feel like a sweatshop or sit down do your nails and leave. It's lost it's personal touch. You used to walk in and feel comfortable and see the same faces over and over, now you walk in to not be greeted but to feel rushed and have a a half assed job done on your nails. It's sad to see such a wonderful place turn for the worst. I will never return again. read more

The entire time the manicure technician did my nails, he kept pushing the pedicure services and no chip manicures. I told him I just wanted a regular manicure. I wanted to tell him to shut up about the pedicure treatments. He also reeked of alcohol. Now, this was late afternoon on a Sunday. Another technician kept coming over talking to him about how much they partied the night before(yeah, I know, you smell of booze still dude). Not very professional. Oh, and my nail polish chipped within a couple of days of getting my $20 manicure. Save your time and money. There are nail places on just about every corner, and this is one to avoid. I'm only adding an extra star to the one star because of the people that work there are pleasant and nice. I got a pedicure today and a polish change on my hands. My foot "massage" was a slight touch and the polish was messy and I could've done a better job myself at home. Also, I had asked to shorten the big toe a little bit and now I have a stubby looking toe. I had to clean off the edges of the cuticle area when I got home and then realized to take a picture. The picture that I'm adding already has some polished removed from the cuticle area and it's still messy looking. Now when I get my pedicure done I will have to inspect it before leaving. I came in to get a pedicure for a wedding I had that same day in the suburbs. I found the tech to be extremely rough during the pedicure, cutting so close to my skin to the point it was painful to have my nails file since it was essentially filing my skin. Then I waited 45 minutes after the pedicure to put my shoes on. Only to discover than the shoes had messed up the paint - because I guess I didn't wait long enough to dry. Although more than 45 minutes to dry seems excessive. I live in the city and typically get my nails done there- I "saved" only 5$ coming here and debatable if I saved anything at all since the quality was so shoddy- shape of my nails are all irregular and the experience was uncomfortable. The only redeeming part was the massage. But now any stress relief from that is completely gone since I have to figure out how to fix my pedicure before the reception. read more

Twilight is my go to nail salon! It is clean, comfy & they use sterile equipment. They also followed Covid protocol when it was necessary; they still wear masks. Rachael knows what I like & goes above & beyond in aiming to please. She always does my no chip manicures, occasional dip, & my pedicures & they last!! I had a dipped nail recently at Twilight, and unfortunately I got the same person I had last time I was there. She obviously does not like the job she does -- or is it me? I watched the person before me get a pretty extensive hand massage with a dipped nail. I did not get a massage, even though I also got a dipped nail. Twilight nails is a great salon for no chips, pedicures and waxing. I have been going there for awhile and haven't really had a complaint except the staff hasn't really made an attempt to get to know me, but they do recognize me when I come in. I am taking a star away from this review because twilight has gone under new management. I'm not sure what happened, but one day I went in there and they had completely gotten rid of the old staff and replaced them with new faces. They used to offer free no chip removal if you were a regular customer there, but the new management now charges $5 to remove the no chip. I will be looking for a new salon, it's just not worth it to go there anymore. read more

Inexpensive salon. Good experience. I asked for my acrylics to be soaked off which was done, just wish he used a spatula tool to scrub off the residue acrylics instead of drilling the acrylic off since that's damaging. They didn't have the gold I wanted but we improvised with another gold. At the end nails look cute. But he didn't clean my nails after (polish on skin, one nail not painted at side fully)..in the future I'll come back. read more

I really wanted to love this place especially after reading the comments here but it quickly went down hill. My fill & pedicure took over 2 hours because of the way they take care of you. First the pedicure the massage guy took so long to start. Actually before I go forward I have to say there was something about that backroom. The staff kept going back there so much for relaxation. My massage guy even ordered his lunch during my services. Then I had to wait so long for the next step guy. The towels were ice cold. During the polish the lack of light seemed to be a problem. Looking at my nails later the color did not cover completely. After that I was taken to the table for my fill. Trina the Salon Mgr came over to my table, put away her stuff and told me that some one will be doing my nails then she ran back to that breakroom again. Oh the guy who sat me at the desk did the same thing. Ok so now I wait and wait I did. I saw one lady get a shoulder and upper back massage and another who got a hand one. Not once was I asked. Maybe they had certain "assets" that I did not provide. I waited almost 15 minutes. I was just about to pay and leave then Trina came back no sorry nothing took her stuff out again. At the end she left me to dry and ran back to that room again. WHAT THE HECK WAS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THAT ROOM BACK THERE!!!!!!!!!!! She didn't even come back to see if I was done and she is a manager! I had to take off a star due to her lack of management. Reading the comments ahead of time I really wanted to love this place but that back room , ordering lunch during my massage, not being offered services like other clients were asked, bad polish, questionable management and the long waits just pushed me over the edge to mad. The relaxation room is a good thought but not when you make the walking to the back room right next to them and the lack of lighting to make the pedicure part questionable. Went here with my Groupon to get a pedicure - I never had one before (and it showed!!) so I wasn't sure what to expect other than for my feet to look nice when I was done - they did! Everyone who worked here was very nice and attentive. The $30 pedicure included an oil massage (legs/feet only, obvs) but I upgraded to the $37 pedicure so I also got a sugar scrub and hot wax added to the massage. This was really nice, and worth the extra $7. I wanted to give a higher score, but I had to deduct for multiple "ambiance" issues. The area with the massage chairs had a sign about it being a 'relaxation area' and said 'no interruptions.' But staff kept coming in and interacting with other staff; the massage guys kept sliding across the floor in their chairs to get items from other tables or from each other - this was all very distracting. The massage chairs were super turbo and hard to control, so I ended up turning mine off because it was jabbing the crap out of my back, butt, and head. After the massage, they wrapped my legs in hot towels, which felt amazing, but they cooled quickly and I was left feeling chilled and uncomfortable the rest of the time they were on. When I first arrive, I was told to pick a color from the selection of polishes - they had a lot to choose from, so that was cool. But my bottle was sitting on the arm of the chair the whole time, and I think I was asked 3 times, "what color are you having today?" (Hellooo - it's right here!) They did offer me something to drink (wine, if you want it) and I was asked several times how I was doing and if I needed anything else, so in that way they were very attentive. But after my nails were done, I was brought over to a light table, and I think they forgot about me after that. Also, there was nothing to do but sit there for what felt like a half hour - nothing to read but a Tupperware brochure that someone left there. All in all, my feet looked and felt great, so I think it was worth at least the Groupon price. If they tightened up some of the other things, I could give it a higher score. read more

The place I usually go to was closed Saturday/Sunday/Monday for a long holiday weekend and my nails looked terrible. I couldn't wait any longer for a fill, so I thought I would try ths place. Staff were very friendly and greeted me on arrival. I got right in, and they were welcoming of my service dog. Mai was my tech and she was nice and professional, but didnt talk my ear off, which I appreciated. She was also quick, which is important, and did a great job on the filling and filing. We had trouble with the polish (bad bottle I guess) and it wouldn't dry without bubbling. She patiently retried one thumb three times until letting the owner take over. We switched colors and he filed off the bad stuff and redid them, and they look great. Prices were comparable to other places and they have a rewards card that's digital (not a stamp card). Way cool. I will be back to try their pedi. read more

I used to go here frequently but I moved and went again when I was back in town. It was definitely different. I didn't like the lady doing my nails; she kept pinching my fingers and just seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. The girl next to her looked like she was wearing pajamas to work. I got a no chip manicure but 3 days later I had chips in 2 of my fingers. I went back to tell them and one of the guys said that happens sometimes and told me to sit down. He kept checking his phone and fixed my 2 nails without saying a word and when done, just got up and left. Like I did something wrong?! I'll never go there again. read more

I am a nail technician and I wanted to get my nails done to treat myself . I came her cause I thought why not . Big mistake. The technician was very rude when he sat my friend and I . He made a stupid joke when I asked where we should sit and he said "where you see water ". For $30 you can get a pedicure where they don't listen to you when you tell them not to cut your cuticles. For 30$ you can get a half asses massage with your $30 pedicure. My god what a joke. I have been doing nails for 3 years . My shop charges $25 and you get a 10 minute good massage !!! read more

I've been to this salon at least 3 times for a pedicure and no chip manicure. The first two times I would have easily given four stars. Decent pricing and good service. Nothing over the top but good quality service and pretty clean. The last time I was there I noticed they switched their brand of no chip polish. No big deal until 3 days later and the polish literally fell off my nail. I was zipping up a backpack and it was off. The next day, another nail, and another. It didn't peel or crack, it literally just fell off. Luckily, I had super glue and glued the nail polish back on. By 1 week after my manicure 4 of my nail polish had fallen off and 1 had chipped. I was on vacation so when I came back into town I went into the salon. No questions asked, they fixed it for me (I brought the polish that had fallen off and showed them pictures) and joked that the super glue had worked well. Great customer service for fixing it! Unfortunately, now 10 days after my manicure, two other polishes have cracked and fallen off. Every other no chip I've ever gotten, from this salon and many others, has lasted 2 weeks, at least. I was bummed $35 didn't even get a no chip manicure that lasted 3 days. Not sure if it's the polish or the salon but I don't think I'll be returning for a no chip. read more

The guy was rude when I entered. When she did the pedicure I was in a lot of pain during and afterward.

I usually do not complain, but DO NOT go with the technician called Yin. I brought my mom to get our pedicures done. First of all when we got there, the wait was tremendously long, a guy told us there's a wait around 10mins, I said it fine we will wait, and we spent half hour waiting over there. Finally, the lady who named Yin called us for the pedicures, didn't say anything else then just let us sit down. The water was extremely HOT. No apologies at all and all the time talking to the guy next to her whos doing my mom's pedicure and virtually ignoring me when I was asking her. Very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! She spent over 10mins to paint my toe nail and looked like my 5 years old niece tried painting her nail. A complete waste of time, horrible horrible horrible experience, and will never go again. read more

I love this place! Everyone is really friendly and accommodating, this is a very busy salon so definitely make an appointment! Large selection of colors and no-chip. My no-chip manis have always been amazing and really look as great as they did when I got them after 2.5 weeks--nails are strong, unlike my recent experience at CT Nails (you guys were closed that day). I will never go anywhere else, even though it's a little pricey. You get what you pay for! Thank you for such great services and for doing a great job! My only complaint is when you have a sign up with "Relaxation Zone", parents should really not bring their young kids to salons or at least try to keep them quiet for those of us trying to relax! This place is terrible. I called to see if I needed an appointment they said no-I said I would be there in 10 minutes. I got there and literally sat in the water for a half hour before anybody came to see me. Which they didn't. When I walked out I said excuse me I've been waiting for half hour and nobody has said anything to me and they just stared at me. What a terrible way to treat a customer. Oh my god. I don't feel a need to be ~professional~ I'm gonna tell you how shit is. I used to be family friends with the owner when it first opened. Wasn't always the best but nails got done in an good amount of time. But oh my fucking god let me tell you. No one from when they first opened still works here. That should say something about how the company works as a whole. I came in here around 3:30. Was asked what I wanted and was told to sit down. Never given a estimated time for my (relatively simple but time consuming) request. A pretty basic pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails. So I'm sitting my phone about to die and he comes up to me 20-25 mins later and says, "the wait is going to be another 25." Excuse me? Hell no. I am way to busy to be waiting on your ass because they had about 2 people staffed. So no thank you sir. Said okay and left going to somewhere hopefully better. read more
