Poor customer service. Unfortunately what I asked for was NOT what I got. My boyfriend and I wanted a pedicure and were on a bit of a time crunch. When I went inside I asked if there was a wait and was told no. Once we we sat at the front, only I was called up while the other nail tech went to the back. First red flag. I told the person who welcomed me that we were going to go somewhere else and he got another person to work on my boyfriend, telling me "I just said we will serve you both." Then he went to the back to grab the person who had just left. The most frustrating part about the visit was that I asked for a specific chrome nail polish. I always ask because some places don't have it and that's OK; I'll just go somewhere else. What I don't appreciate is being lied to, and the same person who welcomed me glanced at the photo and told me that they did. They did not. Once they started applying the chrome I told the guy that I didn't like it and it wasn't what I wanted to which he said that he told me they didn't have it. What???? All in all, I'd say this place is okay in terms of technique but poor with customer service. I had to argue to not pay for polish portion of the service but essentially it was a waste of my time. I've gotten good service but I'm not loving the fact that the family is keeping a baby and toddler in the establishment. It bothers me to see a pre-schooler being given a device to stare at for hours, watching videos alone non-stop. I don't feel I'm being understood when I speak with the nail techs. I was going to try this place but they cut my friends cuticles in multiple places a few weeks ago and did nothing when she brought it to their attention. Also just today my other friend who has been there multiple times went to get nails done for a very special event and they messed up her nails and took other customers in front of fixing there subpar work. I've been coming to XNails for my acrylics for over a year now, and I've never been unhappy leaving the salon! I tried a bunch of places at the beginning of my acrylic nails journey, and only XNails consistently does them so they turn out well--other places had them come out thick or lumpy or misshapen, or were just very inconsistent, but not here. One technician at X Nails does not do a massage with a pedicure, so when I went to X Nails on my birthday and asked for someone who would do a nice massage with a pedicure, the manager just stared at me, then spoke in another language to the shop, and said, it would be 1/2 hour, he had someone available now, but she would not do a good massage. I said, really? How hard is it to do a foot massage? I could not wait, so I said, OK. I said to the technician, "please do a good massage with a pedicure, can you do that?" She said nothing, I asked her if she heard me and she looked at me and said, "no". I wanted to make sure I heard her correctly, so I said, "really, you can't do a nice massage?". I went in for pink gel coffin nails - I've never had long nails and I'm obsessed. I always go for square pink and white..well I'm glad I went out of my comfort zone because I love the outcome! XNails, you would have been amazing if service hadn't completely ceased to exist by the end. It should not take an hour and a half to get a basic pedicure, even if French tips and sea salt are added. But they did give me a flawless pedicure and were able to tone my tootsies from a 20 down to a 5 on the gross-o-meter. They were in catastrophic shape when I showed up, so I'll let some of the remaining dead skin slide. The shop is clean and the people got me seated immediately as a walk-in customer. My technician was very nice and worked her hardest to fix all the damage I've done to my feet in that past six months. She hacked, filed, chopped and buffed away an entire winter and spring's worth of neglect. But when she finished she had me go dry them and never came back. I was tempted to walk out. It was half an hour before I stopped the manager and said I was ready to go. He saw I had the basic pedicure and French, then another tech pointed out that I'd also had sea salt. I didn't know it was extra. That wasn't such a problem in itself. But you're really going to haggle when I've been completely abandoned at the drying station? I took my 6yo daughter here for pedicures this afternoon. The place is very clean, friendly staff, and there was no wait. I got the standard pedicure, my daughter picked out two colors for me, lol. $25 cost was well worth the price. I don't know if they razor feet here. I don't participate in razor as I run and don't need it. They fixed up my ingrown toenails and I'm good for another couple months of pain free running. My daughter got her toes trimmed and painted (and soaked while I got mine done). Her fingers and toes were painted in two colors and turned out great! $15 cost for hers. We will be back! I always make a point to go back to xnails when I'm home from school, (I mostly don't want to expose anyone else to my terrible feet!) For the most part, xnails is clean and efficient. I normally go to one lady, who is just the NICEST- however, I've never learned her name. Randy, who I assume is the owner, is a big hit with a lot of the people who come in, but I've never gotten anything done by him! The service depends a lot on the time/day you go. If you go right around 6pm on a weekday- you're going to be waiting for awhile.My most recent visit was around 3:30 pm on a weekday and it was AWKWARD in there. I was the only customer, which I didn't really mind at first. About half way into my pedicure it was just SILENT. nobody was talking and the only noise was the TV right above me. Not as relaxing as one would think. I also wasn't with my usual person, so the experience was just off. My manicure/pedicure is.. okay. One of my nails chipped already and it hasn't been 3 days. (And trust me, I haven't been doing any hard labor) I'm definitely going back- I'm going to let the one not so great experience slide because I normally love this place. oh- BRING A CASH TIP. Met a girl at a bar and her nails were awesome! She suggested Xnails and I'm so happy she did!! Helen did my no chip manicure and pedicure. She was so sweet and paid attention to detail. Don't go here. The place is filthy. My nail tech was wearing re-used gloves that had holes in them, and they were very dirty. Every surface was being re-used. All the towels had stains on them. I should've walked out when I realized how gross this place was, but I didn't. I asked for acrylic nails with no chip. I asked for a rounded shape. The result was terrible. The tech sped through the process and my nails were super uneven and he just did a bad job. I had to file them down myself when I got home!! Don't waste your money here. I am only reviewing the dip powder. I have been getting dips for over a year and I should of known after seeing the limited dip selection that this wasnt popular in their salon. She was very pleasant but didnt use the white powder nor did she put on the sealer. Instead she put on a no chip top coat... that isnt the dip. Also, my nail cracked that night due to it. I know if I went back to the salon they would fix it but I am just going to go elsewhere to have these taken off and a proper dip done. The owner was very very nice.
