Terrible experience! I paid over $80 to get shit nails from them. I tried my hardest to get them to notice that they were looking terrible, but they ignored me and kept going. Customer service weas HORRID. I tried to see if I could get them fixed and they told me "no and no refunds." This place takes your money and runs! I've been coming to Elegant Nail 2 for a few months, starting when my old nail place was sold and the new people were bad news. I had never had an infection when I used the place before it was sold, and I had been going there for 20+ years, but I got 2 infections in the 5 times I went to my old place under new owners. That's when I switched to Elegant Nails 2. Kiki has been doing my nails since I started (Yvonne once) and both ladies are OUTSTANDING! Kiki really cares about my nails, notices problems (like when I was weeding several times-I was wearing gloves, but still.... ) and fixes them right away. Never again....I am following up from my daughters review since I was the one that had to take the brunt of the conversation since she is a minor as well as adding a picture. I wish I would have taken more pictures but I really thought they would rectify the situation. At least 5 out of the five fingers looked like the nail was Lifting or pointing upwards. Please do not let these nail techs tell you it's because your a nail bitter. My daughter has had acrylics many times before and never had they looked lifted or upwards. I advised I did not want to pay for the nails, the owner said she could fix them the next day since I didn't have time to do it then and there. I said I could do the day after. We agreed but she wanted me to pay upfront. I said no I will pay on Monday when you fix them. A few more back forth. The owner called the police, the police basically said I had to pay for the service or let the lady cut them off. I said no your not cutting them Off you can soak them off and leave her original nails. I ended up having to pay for them to soak the nails off and leaving my daughter there at the salon since I ran out of time for the next errand I had to get to. read more

I'm from out of town and stumbled upon this little gem. I'm usually a "comb the reviews" kind of gal but didn't even glance at the ratings before I walked in. I'm so glad I didn't. They did such an amazing job on my nails! I'm so impressed. They were quick, but I didn't feel rushed/ they asked me several times if I like the length, shape, and color before moving on to the next step. If I could give a no star I would, the only reason they get one is the design was good. The nail tip and the powder was improperly placed. 5 out of the 10 nails were pointing up and looked like they were not even glued on. I asked them my options as I could not wait to fix than and there, the owner said she could fix in the next few days but I had to pay. I did not want to pay in the case the fix was not done properly. owner said she would have to cut them off, I would not let her just cut them off. The owner called the police and after re-explaining the situation the only option I was left with was to soak the nails off but I had to pay to soak something off that was done at a low standard for nails. The owner wanted to hold me accountable by paying for a bad service but she did not want to be held accountable and allowing me to come back at a later time and have them fix the issue. I was willing to pay the difference of what the design would cost but only options given were pay for the service and come back at a later time or have the nails removed and pay for the removal First time and never again read more

Let me start by saying I didn't get my nails done here, I had the DIP taken off that Lee Nails in Bolingbrook totally screwed up. But if ya'll ever get dip - you know some nail places can use that drill thing on your fingers (WHICH I HATE) and sometimes use it until they BURN you to get the crap off. NOT this place! They didn't use the drill at all to get it off. They put polish remover stuff on cotton, wrapped fingers in foil and stuck my hands in these very pleasant warming pouches. It was HEAVENLY!!!!!! AND MOST OF ALL- IT WAS A PAINLESS PROCESS! They have a lot of colors for DIP which most places don't, I will def be back to have my nails done there. ASK FOR NANCY! read more

Loveeee getting my nails done here, they're always so accommodating. They now offer digital stamping for only $6 for two nails! Think of how much time you'll save getting designs done! I had a horrible experience at this place and will never return. I went in to get a pedicure and then decided since it was my birthday the next day i would also get a full set of acrylics. OMG! Big mistake! The guy who did my nails tried to talk me into gel or no chip which i told him i didn't want. I said just give me a full set of acrylics. I said i wanted the pointy shape and he told me it was $5.00 extra..okayyy forget that just shape them normally and i pointed out a lady in the shop whose nail shape i liked. Well he must be blind because he shaped them into some odd square shape and they were wider than my own nails and looked un-natural. He rushed through my nails once he realized his appointment had arrived. When i got to the drying table and put on my glasses i saw how AWFUL my nails really looked. I asked him if he could reshape them and he said "i asked you when i was doing them if they were ok" and i told him i really couldn't see how odd they looked until you polished them. He seemed agitated to have to do my nails over and i told him just do the middle ones ((which really looked odd)) He started talking to the lady at the register in a different language and was actually Pointing at me!! Ok at this point i didn't like his energy and didn't want him touching my nails! I left in a HUFF as the phony lady at the front desk was saying "Have a nice day". If you be very specific in what you want! I just went today for a "no chip" manicure. I already had it on my nails and do it on a regular basis. I told her not to trim the nails just to file a little and keep the shape(which was rounded). She squared them all the way down! I had quite a bit of out growth and when she did the color she didn't even come close to the cuticles!!! So it still looks like I need a fill in! She also had a mess of polish she left around my fingers. The nails are jagged and that's probably because after she set them she took a file to my nails again!!! I arrived at 3:30 and she asked me If I could come back,I said No. I mentioned that I made a reservation for 3:30 at 12:30 that afternoon. She said a customer walked in at 3 and she had to take her and that it would be a while before she finished. They do not honor reservations. What's the point of making a reservation if it isn't honored? Shamefully they didn't even have the decency to apologize . I've gone there three times now and tried two different nail techs. I got an older gentleman the third time and was severely disappointed. the very first time I went I got the older man and he really messed up my acrylic set they were clumpy and some more thicker than others. The second time I went I got the younger taller gentleman and he was very nosey when it came to my profession and overcharged me when he found out what I did for a living. My set was much better by him but I didn't like him asking how much I made. The only reason I was okay with letting the older gentleman do my nails again the third time I went there was because I tried a dip powder and assumed that he would be better at that than acrylics but no about less than a weekend my nails started chipping. I don't recommend this place at all they overcharge and have sub par work. read more

I tried calling a whole bunch of nail salons at 8pm and they were all closed but I requested an appointment through yelp and the owner got me one early the next day! Very disappointed. 2 weeks ago I went there for my first time and requested a fill. She did a great job, my nails looked great, and she charged me $15 for the fill plus $4 for a design-very reasonable and matched what was on the price menu. I went last night for another fill and was charged $35 for my fill! Looking at the price list, that is the price for a pink & white fill. I know I didn't get a pink and white fill because I don't have pink and whites. It was disappointing and I feel like they took advantage of me. read more

This is my favorite nail salon! I have about 7-10 nail salons closer to me but going here is worth the drive. I got a beautiful French ombré full set. I loved them! I just had the WORST customer service experience ever. I am a hairstylist. Having worked hard all week, I thought I'd treat myself. I came to ELEGANT NAIL salon to relax. I purchased the deluxe pedicure which is their most expensive and extensive service for feet and a no-chip manicure. Shortly after starting my pedi, one of the owners asked if I was getting my nails done as well. I said yes. He said I will do your nails while you get your pedicure done. That way I will be out sooner to enjoy my weekend. So here I am with my one hand being filed, the other in a dish to soak on my lap and, I am getting this deluxe pedicure (which is meant to be relaxing by the way) all at the same time. I am contorted and uncomfortable. Then it gets worse. The guy doing my pedicure readjusts my leg and the bowl of liquid pours ALL OVER MY CROTCH! Fine, I am a chill person so I kind of play it off. In the meantime the guy is stuffing towels between my legs! How embarrassing!!! Okay moving on. Now My fingernails are being polished. I have to hold this electrical device on my lap while getting my pedi and my other hand painted. Needless to say it was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. So, here I am with three coats down only the topcoat to go. AND HE STOPS THE MANICURE! He says, he's going to give me a little time to relax. What the hell?! So I'm sitting there still holding this LED curing light on my lap, the pedicure is still going on, my nails are still wet because my mani is not complete. So after a minute goes by I say "hey let's get this done now because this is not relaxing with me sitting here holding this electrical light and my nails are still wet so I can't move and I can't drop anything for fear of being electrocuted. I WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE FOR THIS NONSENSE. BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD ENTAIL GIVING ME SOME KIND OF DISCOUNT NOT JUST FOR SOAPY WATER ALL OVER MY CROTCH AND SEAT, BUT FOR GETTING THE BUM'S RUSH! I ARRIVED ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE THEY CLOSED AND WAS TAKEN RIGHT AWAY. SO THE ONLY CONFLICT WITH TIME WAS WITH THEM. ALSO, COMMON SENSE TELLS ME IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE TIME TO PERFORM A SERVICE PROPERLY DON'T SELL IT! ANYWAY. $90 LESSON LEARNED. Rosa did an amazing job. She was a perfectionist! $36 for a regular mani/pedi. I really wanted a no chip but they told me it was $61..? Other clients had told me they have gotten it there before for $50, so I was a little confused. $61 was a little too much for me, so I got a regular mani instead. It came out beautiful and looks exactly like a no chip with that extra shine, but I'm sure it won't last the 2 weeks. Either way, I was pleased with the services. Price was a little too steep for me though. $61 for a no chip mani and regular pedi is kinda crazy. Especially in a local strip mall nail salon. I have been going here for a few years. I am not a frequent customer (like every few weeks) but I go there for special events or when in need of a great pedicure. I don't get manicures often simply because I do them myself but pedicures are a great treat. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes even though they are always busy. The keep the flow going nice and smooth and they always have plenty of staff there. The ladies and a few men who work there are always happy and very friendly. They make sure you are comfortable and like the work you have had. The prices are a little high but well worth it. The may lack in the color selection (lots of pinks and reds) but are more than happy to apply your own polish. I will be going saturday morning for a mom and daughter pedicure date! read more

I needed a quick eyebrow wax, nothing too detailed; I just needed the edges cleaned up a bit. First thing that threw me off was that it was a man who was going to do it. Not so much that it was a man but he was wandering around the salon looking totally clueless as to what to do first; not necessarily a take charge, I-know-what-I'm-doing sort of attitude. But then I was desperate so I decided give him the benefit of the doubt. When I got in the chair the first thing he started doing after brushing my brows in place was trim the ends. I admit my brows grow long, but trimming them is usually the penultimate step after the actual waxing; that way you know which long strands to leave in place and which ones to trim. Zero stars to be honest. I get mani-pedis regularly and I came here because I had time to kill in the area. I figure I would kill two birds with one stone. This place is HORRIFIC!! Quickest and most pathetic job ever! My 9 year old niece does a better job of painting nails! There selection of colors is dismal. No Essie colors at all. I still have cuticles! I actually told them to remove the polish at the end. Yes, it looked that bad. Lastly, I never been to a place that doesn't have cotton balls to remove nail polish. read more

This place is just OK. Decent for the price compared to similar nail shops in the area. I came in for a no chip manicure while waiting for my car to be serviced at discount tire and was told it'd be $35 for the manicure and I liked that they had a pretty good variety of colors. The guy that helped me seemed to've done a good job but you can always tell by how long it takes for you to see a lot of new nail growth and chipping. The guy did not do as well as I thought. When he was finished he kept trying to convince me to get orher services done, which I didn't need or appreciate. When I got home I noticed that he did not polish up to the cuticle to prevent them looking like they were growing out too fast, also he didn't polish around the edges of my nails which makes them easy to chip. As many women know, no chip manis are supposed to last two weeks or more. The first week my nails starting chipping around the edges, now that's it's coming up on two weeks my nails got worse and look awful. And the no chip polish is a pain in the butt to get off at home by yourself (& I couldn't go back for my nails to be fixed due to my busy schedule during the week). If they lowered the price because the mani doesn't last, I'd recommend them... Or maybe if you saw a different nail tech you'd have a better experience. read more

We've all been to these types of nail salons - not expecting any bells or whistles, but they get the job done for a decent price. I DO expect my no-chip manicure to last at least 2 weeks like all others I've had. No such luck. Five days into my no-chip and the sides are already lifting on 6 of my fingers, which means they're getting caught on everything.
