I'm not a beer drinker so I can only say that they have over 40 varieties, many local. I did sample several things on the food menu and it was great. Fried cheese curds = awesome Macaroni & Cheese was very creamy, not the usual stuff you would expect but better. French fries were to die for! I also tried the Cheese and Veggie plate, I wouldn't repeat it. It was alright but I was expecting more veggies (not cucumbers and cauliflower) and less cheese. It came with a fig paste and hummus, which if you like that sort of thing then it would be great but not for my liking. Atmosphere was relaxed and it was a great place to meet up with friends. Parking in the neighborhoods along the street was easy to find. It is Broad Ripple area so if you like to check out the Hipsters and weirdos then you might be in luck. This place has the best beer list in Indianapolis. The selection changes all the time, and they do a great job representing local breweries as well as some unique regional options. They have some of the best beer release parties in town. On top of a great beer menu, their food menu is fantastic. I love their friend cheese curds. They have some unique dipping sauces and this is about as perfect as it gets while drinking beer. Their burgers are very well prepared and have some very cool topping options. Their Cuban sandwich is great. Their specials are always tasty when they are on the menu. Service is normally pretty quick, but as long as you're buying beer they never seem to push you out. This place is great! I love how the food menu has so many vegan and vegetarian options! There are lots of articles framed on the walls of this joint celebrating the guy in the kitchen who made the menu here full of options that are meatless (and sometimes cheeseless/eggless too). Disclaimer: As a woman in her early thirties who doesn't drink beer, I'm probably not this place's target demographic. Nevertheless, I've been waiting to try this place for a long time (because I heard the food was food), but it's always been busy. Came here for a late lunch, and had the "new" pressed turkey sandwich (turkey, cranberry compote, brie, arugula, and caramelized onions on sourdough bread) with a side of cole slaw, while my husband got the cuban sandwich with a side of fries and an Evil Twin IPA. The pressed turkey sandwich sounded good in theory, but in practice it just had too much going on. The cole slaw was not "creamy," as the menu describes, but it wasn't bad, either. . . it was just kind of bland. Don't get me wrong: the food was decent, just not anything I'd go out of my way to go back for. The building is old and the inside was kind of generic, and for some reason reminded me of MacNivens. The tables were way too close together, similar to Cheesecake Factory, so you're right on top of the people to your right and left, which makes having anything other than a superficial conversation uncomfortable. The service, however, was very good, and the beer menu was pretty extensive. Solid three stars. This is a hipster paradise and if you're on the hipster craft beer bandwagon then this might be a good place. It came highly reviewed by friends so maybe our expectations were too high. We ordered the famous cheese curds and hamburgers. Our adorable bearded waiter forgot about our cheese curds so we didn't get them until we were done with our burgers. The burgers were just 'meh'. I wouldn't go back for them. I did however go back a second time with a friend for lunch and had the soup of the day but was again disappointed. I've been loving this place for years and am just now writing a review, which is a crime. I'm sorry, Twenty Tap. I have a lot of fond memories here. Places like HopCat, The Pint Room, and Yard House have made 20 taps seem like a pittance, but you don't need a gazillion beers to choose from at once. Twenty Tap always has something you'll like, and they get points with me for not trying too hard. The food, beer, and service is effortlessly good. The menu changes pretty frequently. They had ramen for awhile, and apparently it was pretty good, but I didn't even get to try one of the dishes before they were gone. It's probably because I'm too busy getting all of my favorite sandwiches. The Cuban, the burgers, the short rib grilled cheese. A few times I tried to go healthier but wasn't impressed. Whatever. I took my now-partner here for our first date four years ago, telling her repeatedly that the fries are "the best fries you'll ever have in your life". She still makes fun of me, because sure there are better fries out there, but I have yet to realize where. They're so great, the aiolis are great, the cheese curds have always been great but they recently, mysteriously got EVEN MORE GREAT. I even botched a Valentine's Day date here and the food still made up for some of it. I guess I should mention the service. Like I said, it's good. It's never done me wrong, but I've also never loved it. I think that's consistent with the rest of the sit-down SoBro establishments for me. I've been both floored and completely underwhelmed here. It's a shame it's not all that consistent, and it seems to have everything to do with how busy the place is. The first time I went was a weekday early in its life. Despite the chef being a vegan, the burger's were beautifully cooked to order and made with great beef. It was kind of busy, but the service was still quick and thoughtful. My group got great suggestions from the bartender on their vast selection too. I thought I had found my new favorite place, and raved about it to a lot of people. I guess a lot of other people did the same... On another occasion, the place was jammed, and it seemed like a completely different place. The service was lethargic and uninformed. The burgers, fries and cheese curds all failed my previously formed expectations. But, the Bahn Mi still rocked. They may have fixed these inconsistencies since I last visited. Great food to eat. This is my 3rd time back at 30 tap, coming in town from Chicago for business. We had for appetizer the beer cheese curds were fresh and tasted great with the sauce.. Also the beets tasted wonderful when you are them with the red beet and another yellow beet, the combination of that with the lettuce and balsamic vinegar was a good mix. We also had the lettuce wrap with pork and it tasted great! The main sandwich I had was a Cuban sandwich which was out of this world. Looking for a variant on our regular lunch date, my friend and I decided to scrap the patio at the 'chou in lieu of SoBro's newest addition: Twenty Tap. We opted to sit at the bar so that we could get a better feel for the beers and hopefully get an insider's guide to the menu from the bartender and other locals bellied up. The menu is a quick read but doesn't lack depth. We started w the Beer Battered Cheese Curds (a definite 'must' if you are a cheese addict like me) served w two of the house aiolis- we chose roasted garlic and horseradish. Both delicious. To compliment, I had the Tyranena Double Barrel Bourbon Beer which had a very well-rounded flavor and a fantastic hoppy-finish. A perfect pairing for the curds! For my meal, I decided on the Deluxe Grilled Cheese and had the kitchen add prosciutto. The sandwich was tasty, and very filling, but the star that stole the show was by far the house seasoned fries. The batter was light & crispy and the flavor delicious. Dip them in the house aiolis and you will be looking at an empty plate fast -- SO good. I will definitely be back in the future - if for no other reason than to enjoy some fries and a beer. The atmosphere needs to be worn in a bit, as it feels similar to a stale Applebees w/o all the flare on the walls, but in time I have full confidence that TT's patrons will add a twist of their own. read more

This is my favorite brew pub in the city. They also have the best burgers in town. They use all grass-fed beef and the combo of toppings on the menu is great. My family and I go there very often. They are very family oriented. The place is a bit loud when it's full, but they put sound-absorbing panels on the tinned ceiling and that helped. The staff is always friendly and the food is great. The best things on the menu are the Harissa Brussel Sprouts, Vegan Poutine, Cheese Curds, Vegan Bahn Mi, Pressed Cuban (try it spicy!), Turkey Burger and Egg Sandwich. But in reality, those are my personal favorites but you literally can't go wrong with any order here. I think Twenty Tap has the potential to be an awesome burger and brews joint. It's just not quite there. Some of the food is outstanding. Can't go wrong with the *original* fried cheese curds. I swear, I saw God when I ate them. The roasted garlic aioli is the perfect complement. The burgers are also satisfying --juicy and somewhat inventive, and priced fairly. The fries are perfect. Twenty Tap lacked in two areas for me: service and seasoning. The hostess, another young girl, accidentally crossed out our name and seated parties before us. She only realized it when we asked. A place that serves 20 beers on tap should employ people who know something about beer. The waitress I had wasn't knowledgable about the beer or food menus, describing a black lager as "dark." She also recommended my party of four get TWO orders of cheese curds based on the portion size. No one, we discovered, would ever need that many cheese curds (no matter how good they are). Now to the seasoning issue. The *spicy* fried cheese curds were as awful as the *original* cheese curds were amazing. The cook uses a blackening spice mix in the batter that overwhelms the dish with cumin and cayenne. It makes them nearly inedible. We told the waitress they sucked, basically, and she didn't care. The same seasoning mixture was used in the pulled pork sandwich. My sis-in-law, who doesn't like spicy food, ordered the sandwich and ate a fourth of it. The word "spicy" was never used to describe it on the menu, and the assumed manager asked if it was too spicy when she cleared the plate. Yes, my sis said, and then the manager complained about the cook. But she didn't take the sandwich off the bill or offer apologies. I am giving Twenty Tap three stars because I left the restaurant satisfied despite these things. Really, the fried cheese curds are worth a star on their own. But the real issue is the acoustics and the fact that children seem to run roughshod in an establishment called "Twenty Tap." This is not Chucky Cheese. Twenty Tap is one of my go-to restaurants in Indy. Whenever I have a tough time deciding where to eat, I almost always decide to go to Twenty Tap. The food is comforting and American, but not greasy. The service is fantastic, and even when there is a wait, the staff and hostesses are very accommodating. Their beer menu is quite extensive, and their menu has something for everyone. They always have new specials on the menu, and the staff is very knowledgeable about the specials and the menu. The only thing to complain about is the street parking, but there always seems to be a spot.
