Rueben and fries with Irish stout
    Michelle O.

I am from out of town. Here visiting customers for work. Staying right by this place. It's St Patrick's Day and I wanted some corned beef and a stout. This place fit the bill. I was hoping it would not be too crowded. It was just right and I found a place at the bar. Special Irish stouts are $4 so I got one. It was pretty good. Easy to drink. I ordered the CV Rueben with the fries. It is St Paddy's day after all! It came out within 5 mins or less. It was hot and ready. Looked great. Tasted good too. Fries were hot. And they were the brew fries with a coating. Not my favorite but these were ok. The Rueben was homemade on marble rye. The kraut was good and the thousand island tasted homemade too. There was some horseradish in there I think not too overwhelming though. The only issue I have is that the sandwich is thick in the middle but the ends have nothing except dressing. All the ingredients need to extend to the end of the bread. The end of the bread was just the dressing. The server/bartender was super nice. The place is small but not too cozy. Tables and a bar. It has all their merch and handles around. So self advertising. No big deal. Cute place. Parking in front and plenty in back. I'd go back.

If you haven't checked out Upland Brewing in Carmel yet then place it on your list for the weekend! We loved the vibes here and our waiter, even though he said he was new, was great! Carmel location has a patio which can still be enjoyed as it goes into Fall weather! And they have large doors that they open up to the outdoors so if you get sat indoors you still can have the outdoor atmosphere and view. I got the Thai Tofu Salad and it was delicious! Large in size, I wasn't certain what to expect with it being Tofu, but the pieces were grilled it appeared and they were so tasty! Our waiter said some people ask for extra Tofu even. So many flavors exploded within my mouth all at once! My husband got the Inferno Burger and because he enjoys spice, enjoyed his burger! I almost forgot we had the Spinach Artichoke Dip with chips as our appetizer and loved it! Our waiter kept wanting to take it away and I kept informing him we were still working on it! Ha! For our dessert we got the Warm Chocolate Brownie and split it. It did not disappoint. Our drinks were a Bean Blossom Hard Cider which my husband looked up info and found is from Oliver Winery and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the Spicy Watermelon Margarita and at first found it to not be spicy, however, I wasn't thinking and allowed the pepper to marinate within my drink and it got spicy! I also tried samples of the Blackberry Sour and the Raspberry Sour which came in small pours. Wow the Raspberry made me pucker! We enjoyed our evening and will return again!!

I'm a huge fan of upland brewing. The beer is solid, the food is good not great....but their staff is always amazing. They do a great job knowing the menu and making the kids enjoy their meal too.

Dropped in for the devour menu but made an exception and decided not to do it bc the specials menu looked so appealing. Unfortunately the "homade butternut squash gnocchi" was not at all what it was described as. It was in a crazy spicey oily sauce to the point you could not taste any of the other flavors or even the butternut squash. Just sad bc it had so much potential from the description. The other food is was also meh. It appears they have a great menu planner but the staff doesn't know how to produce. Not shocked for Indiana

I was greeted when I walked in. Great customer service. I wasn't a fan of the sandwich. I ordered a sprite but it tasted like syrup so I stuck with water. The food was hot. I sat outside under the umbrella and enjoyed the scenery. I then ordered a brownie for dessert. It tasted like it was either freezer burned or it had been sitting in the refrigerator for days. This was my first visit at this location. I've been to the one in castleton several times before.

In town for work, and I figured I would stop by Upland for dinner and a beer as the hotel was right down the street from the tap room. The space was located at the end of a strip center, and could be easy to miss. As you walk in there is a small merchandise area, and a small cooler for to go packaged beers. There is a "V" shaped bar with around 10-12 seats, and a moderate sized seating area. There is also a small patio seating area. I sat at the bar and the bartender/server was friendly and relatively attentive. I ordered a Campside Pale Ale (which was pretty good), and the tenderloin sandwich w/fries. Overall the place was pretty good and I will likely come back when I'm in town next

We were going to go someplace else for lunch, but fate brought us here! Chandler was a very professional and knowledgeable host. The Plum Burger was YUM!! The Chocolate & Cherry Bread Pudding is good, but get the sauce on the SIDE! It's VERY TART! Clean and trendy atmosphere and very good parking. Thank you for a wonderful lunch experience

Plum Burger and Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich are always my go to choices. Great staff and they of course have wonderfully delicious craft beer.

Upland Nachos (pulled pork + spicy chicken)

My husband and I love coming in here for a date night of nachos and delicious sour beers. This is by far our favorite location they have. Their patio is big and pet friendly, the staff is kind, and the food always comes out perfect. Upland has, hands down, the best nachos in Indy. Other places come close, but they just can't top them. They are a little on the pricier side for nachos when adding meat and guacamole, but other places still don't have anywhere near as much food. So for their portion size I think they are fairly priced. I always get the pulled pork and my husband likes to get the spicy chicken. Sometimes we will come here and get sandwiches or a salad, but the last couple of months it has just been nachos. All of their food is really great. Their sours are mouth watering and this time I got two of the Revive pineapple and chamomile, such a tasty pairing! Last time we were here I got the guava and raspberry, which are also really good. My husband got 2 of their summer nights beer this time and really enjoyed his as well.

We drive by this Upland a lot when driving on 116th st. It's been on my Yelp collection of places to try for a couple years. Finally made it. While the patio was busy , inside was almost empty. We started with the pretzel and cheese and mustard. The pretzel lacked pretzel flavor if that makes sense. It was just kinda nondescript bread. The cheese sauce was ok but had a weird texture. Like it wasn't mixed well. The mustard was awful, I loath horseradish. I got the tenderloin. It was pretty good. Not the huge Hoosier tenderloin but it was tender and I didn't bite into any gristle. Once that happens I'm done. But I ate the whole sandwich. I liked the fries. Nice and crispy. Husband got the Americana Burger. He said it was good and he also liked the fries. Just not wowed with the food flavor. Our server while they did their job they weren't at all friendly. Maybe they've had a long day I don't know. They had zero turn as my Grandfather would have said. To me this is a been there done that kinda place. I know this is a locally owned business and in a competitive market they need to shine. Step up the flavor and step up the friendly factor. One plus the patio is dog friendly.

Service was very quick, food was delicious, and cider was very good as well. Sat outside which was nice and had overall enjoyable experience. Love the seitan burger and the chips at Upland

Great service and food! I decided on the seasonal Octoberfest which was ice cold and flavorful. I opted for the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which did not disappoint. I highly recommend Upland.

You'll also know you're at The Goat when you spot the Donald Trump beer tap handle at the bar. OK! They must really like the movie "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" here. There really is a place for everyone, and I somehow found myself in this place. But you know what? I got nothing but love (or like, really) for The Goat. My experience was great. The service was excellent. The beer, wine and spirits list was outstanding. The music they were playing was nice (heck yeah to whoever chose to play mid-90s Incubus, Bush and Marcy Playground.) I'm the type of person who goes to a dive-ish bar and orders wine, and the kind people at The Goat didn't even blink, and poured me a nice, generous glass. Fine, two glasses. If you're the kind of person who drinks bourbon, your heart will start beating faster when you step into The Goat. They have an amazing bourbon list. On Wednesdays, they do $12 pours of select bottles, some of which are $100+ per bottle. So, you can try out some top-shelf bourbon at a decent price. Mark your calendar for Wednesdays at The Goat, if you're into bourbon. My visit was just for drinks with a small party, and we didn't try any of the food. But we got a variety of drinks among us, including red wine, beer, straight bourbon and blueberry cider. They have a lot of different types of alcohol to please an adult palate. Every so often, I would get an enormous fry that was way bigger than the others. It was more like a steak fry! It was like a little baked potato. It was nice to have that variety in the appetizer (which I was treating like an entree because, again, I was eating this giant appetizer by myself without shame). One of my children opted to get the kids meal here, which is the mac & cheese with a side (he chose fries). The mac & cheese is cavatappi pasta, so it's that pleasing curly texture that kids love (my kid loved it).
