Miso ramen.
Adrienne B.

We went here for dinner last night. It wasn't too busy but the service was rather slow. My husband got the bbq mac and cheese. He thought it was mediocre, a bid bland, and a small portion for the price. I got the miso ramen. I was a good portion of noodles veggies and tofu. The broth wasn't bad but definitely needed the hot sauce they brought out with it. There was a generous portion of tofu but it was barely hot and just barely cooked. I got the vegan caramel ice cream for dessert and it was very good. We would come back because it is a convenient location with vegan options but it wouldn't be our first choice.

Stopped in for breakfast and the burrito was honestly great--good size, packed with flavor, definitely the highlight of the meal. The omelette was just okay, nothing special, but not bad either. Prices were a little on the high side for breakfast, but not outrageous. I really liked the bar seating--cool setup, nice vibe, and a good place to relax with a coffee. Staff was fine--nothing overly friendly, but they got the job done. Overall, decent spot for breakfast if you're nearby, especially if you go for the burrito.

Patty melt

We had the patty melt and caesar salad with salmon. Everything was average. The burger was a little dry. The sweet potato fries were unsalted. The caesar salad was good, but it didn't even have croutons. Basic diner food pretty much. The service was pretty good despite how busy it was. The restaurant was situated pretty much towards the middle of the casino floor. Can't really beat the hours and location when you're staying at the hotel.

Spicy Buffalo Chicken Mac N Cheese

This was my first visit to both the restaurant and the casino. I was greeted right away by the friendly hostess, and the restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained--which made a great first impression. I ordered the Spicy Buffalo Mac n' Cheese (and yes--it's labeled spicy on the menu!) along with a water and a Sprite. The food was flavorful and, exactly what I was hoping for my dinner. However, the service could use some improvement. My water was empty by the time my meal arrived, so I set the glass near the edge of the table to signal it needed a refill. My server walked by several times (6 times) without noticing/stopping or offering a refill. Midway through my meal, I also finished my Sprite and added it next to the empty water glass--hoping that two empty cups would do the trick. Twelve minutes later, my server returned and I requested refills on both drinks. He did bring them quickly once asked, which I appreciated. There were only a couple of tables seated at the time, and while there seemed to be plenty of staff on hand, many were gathered near the front chatting. It would be great to see more teamwork when it comes to guest needs--especially drink refills. A quick glance at surrounding tables could make all the difference. Overall, great food and clean atmosphere, but service could benefit from a bit more attentiveness and teamwork.

There are not very many places in the Black Hawk or Central City areas where you can get late night food. In fact, this is the primary place where it is possible. The food is solid, too. Service has always been good and parking is easy. It's just... it's a casino. You will be assaulted with the mental pollution of slot machine noise and the prices are higher than they should be. I feel like the casinos have become especially greedy and contemptuous of their clientele of late. That's especially true in places like Las Vegas, but can be seen to varying degrees in other casino towns as well through hidden fees and attempts to nickel and dime guests at every turn. I'm not a gambler, I'm just here for the food. That makes me a non-target demographic and I'm pretty damn sure I'm not wanted, so at least the feeling is mutual. So, anyway - you can get late night food here. That's nice so long as you can tolerate psychological manipulation and contempt that will be thrown your way. It's up to you!

Cauliflower crust veggie pizza

We were looking for some food quickly as it was getting later in the evening. We were told this place was open 24/7, he we the name. The service was spectacular and we were seated right away as they were not busy. Unfortunately, they do have very limited vegetarian options. We received the cauliflower crust pizza and it was burnt all the way around. Really can't believe they serve this. It was really lackluster overall. I am sure maybe their other food is great for people who eat meat. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. They are right inside the casino and have a very casual vibe.

Pancakes that I can't even finish.
Minde S.

The ambience is nice, the service is ok, but the food is HORRIBLE. We ordered hamburgers to go last night and they were so dry, you had to take drinks of water between bites because it would get stuck in your throat! Came back this morning for breakfast because how can anyone ruin breakfast? Yep - ruined. "Buttermilk pancakes" are not actual buttermilk. You can tell these are from the box, plus sitting out for a while. So tasteless and dry. 3 pancakes for $15! Do not order!

Raw burger, took them 20 min to re-make. I would eat anywhere else except for here if you're at the Monarch.

The self serve system takes a bit to set up, and multiple members of our group chat trouble. A staff member did provide assistance, and comped a beer when the pour was off. All of the beer selections were local and there was a good variety. They even had wine and cocktail selections. I'm also not sure what caused it, but a majority of our beers were foam. We ordered tacos and tater tots and all were amazing. They also had some trouble with their payment processing system, but eventually figured it out. This is a new spot with some kinks, but once they get those figured out, this is going to be an amazing spot!

On a hot summer day we took a break from the heat and chose to go to the mountains for lunch! Wednesday must be the slow day they have a spaghetti meatball, garlic bread special for only $9.99. Our server dropped the food and ran for cover, never to ask how it was or if we needed anything. the ugly - my mile high chicken club came with onion, even though I requested no onion because I am allergic. The prime rib french dip sammy was pretty small and the fries were meh. again, the server dropped and ran & disappeared entirely, so we couldn't let him know that I needed a new sandwich. hubby ate my dinner, and noted the chicken was dry and flavorless. the fruit that i requested in lieu of fries was slimy and inedible. when hubby was done eating, our server was still playing his disappearing act, so we waited for 20 minutes until the bartender noticed we had been left unattended and brought us the check. thankfully, he checked us out quickly. overall, we would not recommend this place and will certainly not return
