On a hot summer day we took a break from the heat and chose to go to the mountains for lunch! Wednesday must be the slow day they have a spaghetti meatball, garlic bread special for only $9.99. The good - the beer & mocktail were great! it's a pretty big place and it was nearly empty, so we were pleased with that! the bad - the nachos really wanted to be delicious! it seems as though the kitchen staff poured the cheese onto the paper and then added the chips and sprinkled on a little bit of beans and corn & a little dot of lime crema (which was deeelish!) just to tease you. the scant toppings were not even room temperature, and the nacho cheese was also disappointingly less than warm. Our server dropped the food and ran for cover, never to ask how it was or if we needed anything. the ugly - my mile high chicken club came with onion, even though I requested no onion because I am allergic. The prime rib french dip sammy was pretty small and the fries were meh. again, the server dropped and ran & disappeared entirely, so we couldn't let him know that I needed a new sandwich. hubby ate my dinner, and noted the chicken was dry and flavorless. the fruit that i requested in lieu of fries was slimy and inedible. when hubby was done eating, our server was still playing his disappearing act, so we waited for 20 minutes until the bartender noticed we had been left unattended and brought us the check. thankfully, he checked us out quickly. overall, we would not recommend this place and will certainly not return read more

When you need a break from all the gaming and don't want to do grab 'n go or spend an arm and a leg at the "fancy" restaurant - there is a middle of the road option. Brew Brothers has a large bar, lots of TV's, comfy booths and good food. It's open to the casino area but not really noisy or distracting. Our server was Musa and we were his only table for awhile. I ordered the French dip which was good. My friend had the chicken club. She said it was good but the bread was too thick. The menu has a good variety with something for everyone. Jeremy was our waiter, very personable, friendly, attentive. For being a casino, they were not busy on a Saturday. Which was kind of surprising to us. With the with the economy, we warn't too surprised. As we were his only table. The food was delicious. The portions are huge, we shared a prime rib sandwich with excellent, ajus broth was very good and hot, with double dipped coated french fries, fresh sliced jalapenos, they make their own ranch dressing. What I'm learning about Black Hawk is that the restaurant scene tends to be average -- but the service has been consistently great. We sat at the bar, and our bartender (I believe her name is Alex? was a Rockstar! She was bubbly, personable, and on point. She truly elevated the experience. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce on the side. The flavor was decent, but the chicken tasted slightly frozen, and while the fries looked great, they were just okay. After a long day of traveling we asked the hotel clerk where's a good place we could grab a bite to eat. His recommendation was Brew brothers and specifically the hamburgers. Well, this did not turn out as expected, not even close. That was without a doubt the worst hamburger I have had the displeasure of having in the last 20 years! It was luke warm, absolutely no flavor or seasoning frozen meat, I've ever tasted. My friend had the Cajun pasta and he said it was okay, but wouldn't order it again. The service was slow, but only had one person handling the entire place, so understandable. The people sitting next to us ordered wings that looked better, although very small pieces that appeared like party wings. I wouldn't recommend this place just based on our experience, but others might think differently. Most definitely, stay away from the burgers, especially the All American version. If you absolutely have to eat something and you're at horseshoe or Lady luck, the prices aren't astronomical, but they're certainly not what they should be but hey - it's a casino. The service is always excellent when we're there. Our food comes out pretty quickly and again the food is fresh hot and the ingredient are very well put together. This was our first time here and it was flipping phenomenal! Our server was the bartender Grace and not only was she attentive she was warm and welcoming. The service was an easy 10 and our experience was at a high level because of her. In addition, the cooks must be something special because that food was holy heck!!! Alright got up after a night of chance and looking for something to get us going in the morning stayed at the Lady Luck Hotel which is adjoined to The Horseshoe which houses this restaurant/brewery. Used to be where the buffet and farmers restaurant were. Coming thru the passage way that connects the 2 casinos all we could smell was bacon!!. When we finally crosses thru the casino to the restaurant we were seated rather quickly. Unfortunately there was only 1 server for the whole restaurant. But honestly we are and will not hold that against the restaurant because she was doing the best she could and we showed her empathy and we're kind to her and in return she gave us a discount on our meals . And as far as our meals they were delicious and worth the wait. Generous portions and tasty. With that being said there are not a whole lot of options for breakfast up in Blackhawk but this is definitely one to be on your radar. Would I recommend, definitely. This is sincerely the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at. For it being inside of a casino, I'd expect the food to be good. The food wasn't even sub-par. It was simply inedible. We ordered the patty melt which was supposed to come with 2 patties. They brought it out, and it only had 1 patty on it. The fries were raw and cold. We sent the whole plate back, and I mentioned to the manager that the meat was also extremely well-done and that we wanted it rarer. When they finally brought it back out, it was still not good. It tasted like a microwaved Salisbury steak. I do not believe that this burger was cooked on a grill or in a pan. It tasted like it was frozen, microwaved on high for 3 minutes, then lazily slapped between 2 pieces of the thinnest, most unflavorful sandwich bread they could find at the grocery store. The burger was not juicy at all, had a grayish tint, and didn't even seem like it was 100% beef. It was so nasty that I didn't even eat it. After all of that, they didn't take it off the bill. I don't like dining at establishments that don't take care of their customers, and these people are clearly only concerned about money. It also feels more like you're eating at the food court at the mall because it's not enclosed, so all the hustle and bustle from the casino surrounds you. I can respect that it's the more casual dining option inside of the casino, but they really should step it up. I would never come back here. read more

Bartenders and servers are all incredibly nice. Tons of screens for sports, etc. We never had an issue getting seated. Breakfast biscuit was so good. Eggs cooked correctly and potatoes crisp but not too oily. The dinner house salad is served with a boiled egg, cherry tomatoes and croutons. I cannot state how horrible the food from here was, while I've never had it I am certain gas station sushi is superior. I am staying at the hotel, ordered food via the Caesars Eats app - burnt ends and a patty melt, nothing exotic or difficult. It is to-go food and not room service so as expected it arrived in plastic containers with plastic utensils. Have you ever opened up one of those cheap tubs of shredded bbq beef? This was the flavor of the unfortunate bbq sauce the burnt ends were floating in. But wait, the 'brisket' was most likely 3-4 day old reheated-multiple-times cubes of roast beef soaking in bbq sauce to tenderize them. The meat was so tough the plastic knife broke on the third try to cut through the first obliterated meat chunk. I tried bites from two more, just to make sure it was not one mistaken piece of meat, but sadly no, this was likely not brisket, they were definitely not burnt ends, and these absolutely were leftovers from days gone by. I threw that away and went for the patty melt, can't mess that up, right? I have no idea what this meat used to be, but again I was served leftovers from at least the day before, if not multiple days, unless they cook all the meat at 7 am and it sits under heat lamps for 14 hours. This poor, sad excuse for a burger patty was grossly overcooked to where it was dry as a desert and didn't really chew, it kind'a bounced as I tried to bite it. So, the entire meal was thrown out. As a Diamond member with Caesars, I am changing hotels to stay across the street -paying more than 2x what my current room cost, because this food is not fit for humans and since I am going to be eating across the street, I might as well give them my hotel stay money also for my five days in Black Hawk. We have removed this hotel from our list of lodging-approved locations for when we send staff to Black Hawk for work. I don't think I've had a meal this bad in more than 20 years, I am absolutely stunned. The property refunded the meal, but how does any restaurant serve, well, garbage? read more

Very nice staff here. It is a great place to watch a game. Lots of tvs. The casino noise is minimal, so it is relaxing. The Nashville chicken sandwich is good and not too hot. The onion tower is not huge and they are nice and crispy. I liked the potsticker appetizer. The chicken Caesar salad is large. We didn't like the Wontons were not good at all. We have now been here 3 times and we did not give a negative review the last two visits as I always want to give an opportunity in case it was a one off but 3rd time and the service is terrible and we waited almost 48 min for our food and when it finally came out it was cold and the onion rings were over fried we could not even eat them. My husband ordered a steak. 35.00 and the steak was so tough it was terrible. Go over to one of the hotels so much better. Not sure what is going on with this place but it clearly needs good management and cooks that can cook. Gave this place a couple tries while staying at Horseshoe. The second visit was enough to know not to go back again. Food and service was consistently disappointing. Problems included hot food served cold, crispy food served soggy, dishes missing ingredients listed on the menu, having to make the same request three times to finally get items that were needed and more. Too bad, cuz this is the type of place I usually really like. From the start, hostess was totally lost in what she doing, even watching her after we were seated. We waited 40 minutes and all we ordered was a hamburger and fish and chips with a side of onion rings. When the food came, my burger had cheese when I specified "none" when asked what kind I wanted. I can't eat cheese, never order cheese and I saw her write it down. Husband's fish and chips was fish and onion rings with no fries. By then, we asked for it all to be "to go" because I was clearly agitated. When we got back to our hotel room (and not at the Horseshoe) my husbands tartar sauce for his fish was ranch dressing???
