I would give this place a ZERO if I could. Do not order the breakfast burrito. When our Server brought ours, I thought she had the wrong food. I have NEVER seen a breakfast burrito look like that. It was HORRIBLE!!!! We scraped the green stuff off and did our best to eat it (I hate wasting food). I picked the egg and some of the hash browns out from the inside and that was all I could stomach.....I'm paying for it today The Manager was RUDE and said that because my husband ate more of his (inside mainly) he wasn't going to take it off.....really?!? Ohhh so this spot is located in the Monarch Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado, it's alright... not one of the hottest spots but it's ok and I was hoping for a Vegas feel. For the 1 hour drive I was hoping for a great experience but maybe we will need to try the streak restaurant? . We went here for dinner last night. It wasn't too busy but the service was rather slow. My husband got the bbq mac and cheese. He thought it was mediocre, a bid bland, and a small portion for the price. I got the miso ramen. I was a good portion of noodles veggies and tofu. The broth wasn't bad but definitely needed the hot sauce they brought out with it. There was a generous portion of tofu but it was barely hot and just barely cooked. This was my first visit to both the restaurant and the casino. I was greeted right away by the friendly hostess, and the restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained--which made a great first impression. I ordered the Spicy Buffalo Mac n' Cheese (and yes--it's labeled spicy on the menu!) along with a water and a Sprite. The food was flavorful and, exactly what I was hoping for my dinner. However, the service could use some improvement. My water was empty by the time my meal arrived, so I set the glass near the edge of the table to signal it needed a refill. My server walked by several times (6 times) without noticing/stopping or offering a refill. Midway through my meal, I also finished my Sprite and added it next to the empty water glass--hoping that two empty cups would do the trick. Twelve minutes later, my server returned and I requested refills on both drinks. He did bring them quickly once asked, which I appreciated. There were only a couple of tables seated at the time, and while there seemed to be plenty of staff on hand, many were gathered near the front chatting. It would be great to see more teamwork when it comes to guest needs--especially drink refills. A quick glance at surrounding tables could make all the difference. Overall, great food and clean atmosphere, but service could benefit from a bit more attentiveness and teamwork. read more

There are not very many places in the Black Hawk or Central City areas where you can get late night food. In fact, this is the primary place where it is possible. The food is solid, too. Service has always been good and parking is easy. It's just... it's a casino. You will be assaulted with the mental pollution of slot machine noise and the prices are higher than they should be. I feel like the casinos have become especially greedy and contemptuous of their clientele of late. That's especially true in places like Las Vegas, but can be seen to varying degrees in other casino towns as well through hidden fees and attempts to nickel and dime guests at every turn. I'm not a gambler, I'm just here for the food. That makes me a non-target demographic and I'm pretty damn sure I'm not wanted, so at least the feeling is mutual. So, anyway - you can get late night food here. That's nice so long as you can tolerate psychological manipulation and contempt that will be thrown your way. It's up to you! read more

The food was so so good!! We ordered the buffalo wings, salmon, fish & chips, and the green chili soup. They were all delicious even for picky eater standards. The chili soup was a bit spicy though so be prepared. We went for dinner around 7pm on a Saturday it was still very busy and stayed busy but we got seated right away and the staff was very attentive. We also asked to change one of the TVs and the manager was quick to help us with this. Manish C was our server and checked in on us regularly despite having multiple other tables. Their food isn't bad though and you can use your casino comps from monarch at this place as well which would be the only reason why I'd recommend eating here. Not super impressed. Started bad with a gross fork that still had food/something on it. Father-in-law orders coffee but no coffee comes for at least 8-10 minutes and then it's lukewarm. He did order decaf at 10 PM. Even his refill was lukewarm. My wife and I ordered the Monte Cristo. She let me pick what we were going to share and I read that it came with a jalapeno jam. It did NOT. Just a regular cherry compote or something similar but no jalapeno jelly. No powdered sugar on the Monte Cristo, which is OK for me but I was surprised that it came without the sugar and no mention that it was not the typical Monte Cristo. This is now my go to restaurant in Blackhawk. I'm over the buffets and Twenty-four 7 has attentive service, good food with lots of options (including all day breakfast) and the ability to sit either away from the action or right next to the casino floor - depending on how you're feeling. The bar area is also separate so you can "get away" if you prefer. On this visit Ash was our server and he was prompt and kind. We again had the truffle mushroom burger with arugula and onion rings and I decided to try the prime rib dip. The burger was great but the onion rings were way too greasy. We laid them on a napkin to drain but even after the napkin was soaked through, we still couldn't eat them. Ash kindly took them off our bill (they're an upcharge) but didn't bring a substitute. The prime rib dip was tender and delicious with a large cup of au jus and perfectly crispy French fries. The clam chowder was good but nothing to write home about. I'm already debating whether to try breakfast next time or one of the wok specials - hopefully it won't be too long before my next visit. read more

The food was satisfying and portions generous. I had the dish and chips and my guest had the asian noodles with chicken. Finally there was spinach dip appetizer and my sister had steak. We ordered salads as appetizers because my dad wasn't very hungry. The salads like the entrees and deserts were large although my daughter said she had to search for chicken in the Asian dish. My fish was cooked perfectly and my salad was fresh tasting with a variety of fresh greens, carrots, cucumbers, red onions which we all enjoyed, and I had asked for no cheese which they managed. My guests had a Caesar. At the end we ordered desserts to go; carrot cake and the chocolate cake. Let me tell you they barely made it home. I did long for walnuts in the frosting or cake to make it memorable. There was the usual casino noise but it was set back from most of the traffic. Just enough to people watch! . Dropped in on a semi-busy Sunday night. While I waited on my delayed companion, Jasmine took good care of me. The only thing good about the experience. Ordered Tonkotsu pork ramen ($19). After ordering, the meal took 30 minutes to appear. My soup looked good, with a medium egg face up with seaweed Sushi Nori floating on top. The broth was only tepid, while the pork belly was hot. The pork is called chashu. It was done on a flattop and sure not sous vide. The broth was not complex. The taste was bland where I was looking for bacon infused sweet soy miso tare. Jasmine checked back with us immediately, and I told her the broth was cold. She offered to have the kitchen re-make it, and I reluctantly gave it up. Sure enough, 10 minutes later, the dish came back, looking pretty sad. The kitchen microwaved it. The seaweed Sushi Nori sunk in a little crinkled up mess to the bottom. The poor egg was shriveled, the broth was cloudy. I tried to eat it and found 5, 2x3 inches pieces of ginger in the bottom, inedible. If you read my reviews, I am no snob, but if you advertise something, and charge me more than you should, then make it properly. read more

A lot of options for food at this place. Went here with my girlfriend who is a celiac so needed a place that had gluten free options. All of the sandwiches and burgers can be made gluten free and the salmon and steak were also safe choices. Our waitress Holly was phenomenal and provided amazing service and was so knowledgeable about the food allergies. Clam chowder was fairly bland, nachos were decently flavored, but cheese kinda looked pretty hard coming out like it was sitting for a while. One star is definitely for the food. We had a fairly large group, in the group a couple people had the 10 oz steak. They said it was not seasoned at all and not cooked right. A couple had salads, very basic, one had the salmon on top and same feedback, very bland. Not worth the price. One in the group had the lo mein, was also bland. One in the group had the brisket burger, he said this was very good. A couple that had meals with a side of fries said the fries had a nasty pool of oil on bottom of the fry dish. But when ordering meat, they never seem to comprehend the standard ordering a steak or burger as rare, medium rare, medium, or well done.
