12 mile limit is a cool dive bar that has great drinks and a great vibe. They have random fun nights of karaoke, open mic stand-up and trivia games. They even have a pool table in the back. They serve high food. Also you order at the bar. They make a great old fashioned that's $5 and it's a cool spot to just sit down. Listen and maybe meet some cool people too. I recommend this by

Not sure how I haven't reviewed my FAVORITE NOLA bar before, but here I am. I can't say enough good things about this spot. It's been near and dear to me for the last 11 years. I go as much as possible - I even took some birthday pics here this past summer! Food - always on point Drinks - always on point Staff - the very best And we love you.

I am kinda new to this bar. I started revisiting it thanks to my new Nola Twitter frands. The rear patio is perfect with big round tables to get weird and hash out lifes troubles. Inside is the same. Hi low seating and enough space to spread out and have a great time. I been a few times when there is free food! Tip the bartenders even heavier on them days but that is so awesome! They are vigilant on check vaxx cards and that definitely brings a certain peace of mind. And it help keep out mouth breathers. It is super easy to get to from the Westbank so for everyone else I can only imagine how much easier it is. It is certainly in my Mid City rotation now!!

Delicious bbq eggs Benedict! Thanks for the suggestion Mr. Danon H!

Oh dear Lawd and butter! This review is strictly on their Sunday brunch which is quite frankly, amazing! Thanks to my buddy and first Yelper friend, John L. H. (Aka Steve's friend hehe) who arranged a UYE for Sunday brunch last weekend. My fellow elite Yelper friend, Mr. Danon H. Has always raved about their bbq so I tried unsuccessfully once before to partake of said deliciousness. But last Sunday was the day I triumphed and tasted the bbq eggs Benedict! Oh man, everything was so darned good I had to deconstruct it to make it last longer and savor the taste! (See my picture). First there is the buttery biscuit which is the basis of the Benedict. Then there is the perfectly made sunny side egg (just like I like it bc I like to break the yolk and make it ooze out). And the creme de la creme, the BBQ! Aww yeah! Mr. H has never steered me wrong and this BBQ was delish! It even tasted good the next day when I had it for dinner! FYI, you order at the bar and are given the option to start a tab, they give you a number, and then you take a seat. They were very gracious in saying the kitchen was backed up but this, my dear friends, is worth the wait! Fellow Yelpers tried the frittata and enjoyed it so there is another option! And one Yelper enjoyed the build your own biscuit! Oh, and there is a huge water dispenser near the door with cups. I will definitely be coming back again to eat! Happy brunching!

This is a review of the bar during brunch. When I think brunch, I don't think of a bar. Hell, when I think brunch I normally think of a meal that is a worthless invention. Luckily I have some friends who don't subscribe to my ridiculous views and they set up a fun brunch to meet and greet some Yelpers from Portland. When I walked up, I was a little reluctant. The door was locked and I had to be buzzed in. Normally that means I'm in a dangerous place, but once inside I realized I was not. The bar has a very neighborhood bar feel, but the owner/bartender was very welcoming and friendly. He was also making an excellent old fashioned for $5. Not only did he take his time making the drink, but he also tasted it from his stirrer to make sure it was just right. The bar wasn't very crowded and our large group had half of the place to ourselves. We were even able to play some great songs on the jukebox. It wasn't the internet connected variety, but there were some great, local hits. I really liked this bar. I hope someone else organizes more bar brunch outings here.

Old fashion and a pretty good but not authentic rum punch. I like it.

I'm a comic and I perform here every Monday. There is free food on Mondays. It changes every week. It taste like free bar food. I ate it and will eat it again. The bar is cozy and kind of a dive but it's fun. They have cheap drinks and fancy drinks. The crowd is always eclectic. Also the ladies room has 2 toilets. No divider just 2 toilets in one room. I guess you can never be too close to your friends.

What an awesome bar! And what a sketchy neighborhood! Totally not what I expected. At all. Why is that, you ask? Good question. I think it's because for some reason I had the scenario reversed in my head: I've been wanting to check out Twelve Mile Limit since I found out it opened, so it's been months and months, and my imagined version of it was more like a dive-y bar in a nice-ish neighborhood. Instead, I got a shiny, dark wood and deep red, classy bar that serves drinks in ACTUAL GLASSES. It's apparently been a while since I drank anything served in something other than a plastic cup, because the whole heavy glass thing was kind of an issue. They're much more difficult to manage if you're standing outside on the corner talking to people and trying to type on your phone and etc. Anyway, although Twelve Mile Limit wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, I'm definitely not complaining because the kind of bar that it turned out to be in reality is WAY better than the one I had imagined. My favorite things: The drinks are REALLY CHEAP. My two gin and tonics were only $8, AND they came in a fancy grownup glass. The staff was super nice, and I had a chance to chat with the owner, who is awesome. Like super rockstar nerd awesome, and the bar is totally a reflection of his personality. (His words, not mine.) Oh, also, this place was an absolute falling apart mess when he bought the building, and he's done an amazing job turning it into something awesome. Twelve Mile Limit would definitely not be out of place if it were Uptown in the Tulane Bubble instead of on a surprisingly sketchy corner in Mid-City. About the neighborhood. First of all, I have an extremely high tolerance for places that Metry residents would consider the "hood," and so it's very rare for me to mention that an area seems shady. Because it's very very rare that I encounter a part of town that strikes me that way. Which is not to say that Twelve Mile Limit is in a bad or dangerous place. Bottom line: when I got there, I ended up being glad I drove instead of riding my bike, as I'd originally intended. Not enough streetlights and stuff in the three to four block radius. Another thing about the neighborhood: this is a PRIME SPOT. The Banks Street corridor is an up-and-coming area that you should keep an eye on. It's already awesome, and in the near future it's going to rock your socks off. Right now, you've got Twelve Mile Limit, Banks Street Bar, Finn McCool's, Crescent Pie and Sausage, Lazaro's, Huevos, and all kinds of other stuff I'm forgetting. Plus, Mid-City is the BEST 'hood in New Orleans, so as Banks Street continues to become more awesome, it will eventually become one of the best streets in the best neighborhood in the city. If I weren't quite so tired, I probalby could've conveyed all the information in this review in FAR fewer words. Unfortunately for anyone who attempts to glean nuggets of useful (or funny or cool) from my reviews, I'm not up to editing right now. Solution: I'll just add it to the Overly Long Reviews list. Stay tuned for Drunk Spelling Saturdays! A weekly spelling bee type event at Twelve Mile Limit. The owner and I talked about it, and now I'm yelping about it, so it pretty much has to happen. :)

They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect whether you want a relaxed brunch or just a fun place to grab cocktails. The building itself is an old house that's been turned into lodging and a restaurant, which adds so much charm and character. If you're visiting NOLA, this is definitely a must-visit spot. Inside, the décor is eclectic, fun, and full of personality. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably sit at the bar for cocktails, enjoy a meal, or just relax. There are several side rooms with couches and seating areas, which makes it great for meeting friends, family, or colleagues to unwind after a busy day--or even just popping in while strolling around the city. We went for Saturday brunch, and the menu isn't huge--which I actually love because it means everything is done well. There were plenty of options, including gluten-free and vegetarian choices. The seating is comfortable and spaced out so you don't feel crowded by other diners. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was really good. The cocktails were also excellent--generous pours and well made. After brunch, we walked out back to the pool area and enjoyed another cocktail while soaking in the beautiful day. It was the perfect ending to a great brunch experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place with great food, great drinks, and a uniquely New Orleans!

The stay was *beyond my expectations* (we had been there before for drinks but not to the hotel part). Every single person we encountered on staff was SO kind and fun from the moment we walked in. Started the evening at the bar, which had a great mix of neighbors/regulars (with cute dogs) and tourists. The liquor selection and cured cocktails are magical. We checked into Room #4, which was perfect. Every room at the hotel has a record player, a Marshall external mini amp/speaker and the best mini bar selection...just knowing it was there was awesome (we did eventually cave in and enjoy some flavored pretzel twists). Dinner was SO yummy. Our waiter, Jasper, was a rock star...He arranged for a nice surprise birthday beverage. We had the gumbo (a meal in itself that was so good we saved half of it to take home and ended up devouring it cold from the mini fridge before we left the next morning...it was *that good*), the goat cheese app (the bread and the honey poured on top was divine), the stuffed redfish (once I was done with my meal, the empty plate almost looked like it was licked clean...Although tempted, I was actually able to keep my composure and not do that...) and the double stack burger (also saved to bring home and perfect for a snack this evening). The room was the ideal hideaway (located at the back of the second floor) for our little staycation. We jammed out to Muddy Waters on the turntable while getting ready (next time, we are going to borrow one of their themed record stacks...It was a work night...Monday...so we had to keep things low key). It was super easy to sign into streaming apps on the room TV...After dinner, we watched the end of the NFL Playoff game and then Netflixed and Chilled. Even though there was a large-ish reception going on downstairs, we heard nothing from our room. The breakfast (included with the room) was the perfect way to start my work day the next day. It arrived right at the selected time. Delicious coffee, eggs, breakfast potatoes and crispy bacon. The hotel wifi was great. I worked for a few hours from the room (they have a generous 1:00 pm check-out time) before we headed back home. I love the jewel toned decor, repurposed furniture and quirky ambiance (artwork, photographs, hidden/not so hidden alligator motif). They give you a *real key* for the room, which is a nice retro touch. The shower was delightful, the bedding clean, crisp and comfy. I could not think of a better way to spend the first day of the 50th year of my life. We will be planning another staycation soon when it's a little warmer and we can also enjoy the pool :) Thank you, folks at The Chloe!

Great to see this place back to its original vibe--another solid save by Dickie Brennan…read more The menu is extensive, but the real draw is the oyster station. We went late on the final Sunday of Jazz Fest, so it was a bit quieter than expected, which made for a relaxed experience. The standout of the night was the raw oysters--big, classic Louisiana oysters at a very reasonable $2.33 each. We've come to prefer the flavor of smaller New England oysters, but at $3-$3.50 each, these were a great value. For entrées, we had three fish dishes and a veal piccata--the latter was the only miss. Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening. Total for four, including tip, came to about $310. Definitely worth a visit--this is a true New Orleans institution.

We arrived for our reservation and they said they were waiting for other guests to leave to seat us. We waited for 45 minutes before they sat us in a room that had only two other tables being used and a room full of empty tables otherwise. A server eventually showed up and we tried to order right away and she stopped us and said she would be back. This happened 3 times over the next 20 minutes. Meanwhile, all of those empty tables were slowly being set up by 4 other employees, all otherwise ignoring us. At this point we were very short on time and complained to the manager, who did not apologize but sent the server our way, who also did not only not apologize, but said "It's Mardi Gras what do you expect?" Again, there were only two other tables in the entire restaurant and a large handful of employees seemingly doing nothing at all. The food that did arrive was uncharacteristically bad and we did not even bother to finish, and it makes me wonder if it wasn't on purpose because of us complaining about waiting in an empty restaurant for an hour to actually be spoken to. We have been coming to Pascals for years because it is close to the Tucks' den and it was a nice tradition, but this was one of the most insulting experiences we've had, so we will be moving forward and making a new tradition next year.
