Frog legs... and they do taste like chicken.. 9/10
Heber P.

Cool little spot with a great selection on tequila and whiskey. Definitely seems like it gets busy at night, but we lucked out and had two chairs at the bar open. I had my first taste of frog legs, and they were actually pretty good a little on the salty side, but it does taste like chicken. Next time I come, I'm gonna try to eat more food.

Frog Legs

It's very modest looking, yet one of a kind. Chalkboards with drink info and older furniture. But the menu is so elevated and there is good reason why they were voted Best Fries in the city. I'm actually obsessed with the goose fat fries. But I pulled myself away long enough to fall in love with the frog legs, as well! Service pretty chill. You go up to the bar to order and then they bring the food to your table (indoor or outdoor). The bartenders are super knowledgeable of the wine list AND they have all day $5 wine specials! It's a must have if you're visiting New Orleans, and streetcar accessible. Plenty of street parking if you're driving, though. I absolutely love it.

Jordan and Ruby are great! Jordan is incredibly knowledgeable and makes the best drinks. I literally love it here and the mood is very vibey! You neeeed to come. Cute and cozy place and they have good bites. It's a must and tip Jordan well! He knows it allll and will make you something great! Ruby is so sweet too and so helpful! Love it here and I will be here all the time!

Quiet little wine bar that was a stop on our trolley bar crawl!! They had soooo many wines to choose from but since I'm not a huge wine drinker, I went for the raspberry lambic which was so tasty. We walked right in and seated ourselves. Dimly lit ambiance which encouraged conversation, perfect spot to catch up with the girlfriends (which is what we did!). We ordered at the bar and enjoyed drinks and conversation. On to the next stop!

It's a wine bar not a cocktail haven. The food I tried was okay though I wouldn't recommend the wings. In fact, I wouldn't recommend going on the night I did because I feel like the guys behind the bar just wanted a quiet evening with no business. I've been here before and had a good time but I'll wait a while before I come back. Many more places to meet for a drink. No pics included. I couldn't be bothered.

I happened into this restaurant/bar last night. It proclaims itself to be a wine bar. I asked for a glass of Merlot and was told, "we don't have that." I then asked for a glass of Pinot Noir and the bartender begrudgingly shoved it at me across the bar. I asked if i could order from the menu. He handed me a menu and told me to order from him and someone would bring me the food when it was ready. I ordered the herbsaint oysters. It was okay...not worth the $20 price tag. I then ordered the prime rib meatballs as that sounded interesting. When those arrived, the sauce was piping hot, but the meatballs were cold in the center. (I guess they did not microwave them long enough.) Anyway, for a city so forward leaning re: alcohol, this place should try to keep up with their peers.

Known more as a wine bar, the Delachaise serves great cocktails and bites that you can share or devour all by yourself. Bar service is great and attentive. If you're looking for ambience, just take a look at my photos and you can see that it's a nice spot for a drink after work or a date night.

Cozy. Quaint. Intimate. These are a few of the words that come to mind when I think about The Delachaise. This wine bar is a neighborhood gem, and its late hours make it an ideal stop on the ride home. The food menu is diverse and eclectic. Even the French fries aren't what one would expect as they are fried in goose fat and served with savory sauces for dipping. You can't go wrong here. The bar proudly displays over 200 bottles of wine. Seating is available at the bar, at highboys, and on the patio overlooking the famous streetcar line. Even though orders have to be placed at the bar, the kitchen staff is kind and the other staff work quickly to clear the tables of dirty dishes. This gastro pub, as it is also known is perfect for groups and couples alike. I already have in mind what I will order on my next visit. Enjoy!

This place has a nice chill vibe & perfect for a laid-back night out. The bartenders were super friendly and helpful when it came to choosing drinks and food. My boyfriend and I had the southern fried chicken wings(one of the specials), pommes frites, and the delachaise sliders with a couple glasses of Pinot Grigio. The food and drinks were great and we'll definitely be coming back!

I visited here for the first time on vacation last week and tried a sparkling red wine that was absolutely divine. Thought I took a picture of the label, but somehow it's now gone... Can anyone enlighten me?

They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect whether you want a relaxed brunch or just a fun place to grab cocktails. The building itself is an old house that's been turned into lodging and a restaurant, which adds so much charm and character. If you're visiting NOLA, this is definitely a must-visit spot. Inside, the décor is eclectic, fun, and full of personality. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably sit at the bar for cocktails, enjoy a meal, or just relax. There are several side rooms with couches and seating areas, which makes it great for meeting friends, family, or colleagues to unwind after a busy day--or even just popping in while strolling around the city. We went for Saturday brunch, and the menu isn't huge--which I actually love because it means everything is done well. There were plenty of options, including gluten-free and vegetarian choices. The seating is comfortable and spaced out so you don't feel crowded by other diners. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was really good. The cocktails were also excellent--generous pours and well made. After brunch, we walked out back to the pool area and enjoyed another cocktail while soaking in the beautiful day. It was the perfect ending to a great brunch experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place with great food, great drinks, and a uniquely New Orleans!

The stay was *beyond my expectations* (we had been there before for drinks but not to the hotel part). Every single person we encountered on staff was SO kind and fun from the moment we walked in. Started the evening at the bar, which had a great mix of neighbors/regulars (with cute dogs) and tourists. The liquor selection and cured cocktails are magical. We checked into Room #4, which was perfect. Every room at the hotel has a record player, a Marshall external mini amp/speaker and the best mini bar selection...just knowing it was there was awesome (we did eventually cave in and enjoy some flavored pretzel twists). Dinner was SO yummy. Our waiter, Jasper, was a rock star...He arranged for a nice surprise birthday beverage. We had the gumbo (a meal in itself that was so good we saved half of it to take home and ended up devouring it cold from the mini fridge before we left the next morning...it was *that good*), the goat cheese app (the bread and the honey poured on top was divine), the stuffed redfish (once I was done with my meal, the empty plate almost looked like it was licked clean...Although tempted, I was actually able to keep my composure and not do that...) and the double stack burger (also saved to bring home and perfect for a snack this evening). The room was the ideal hideaway (located at the back of the second floor) for our little staycation. We jammed out to Muddy Waters on the turntable while getting ready (next time, we are going to borrow one of their themed record stacks...It was a work night...Monday...so we had to keep things low key). It was super easy to sign into streaming apps on the room TV...After dinner, we watched the end of the NFL Playoff game and then Netflixed and Chilled. Even though there was a large-ish reception going on downstairs, we heard nothing from our room. The breakfast (included with the room) was the perfect way to start my work day the next day. It arrived right at the selected time. Delicious coffee, eggs, breakfast potatoes and crispy bacon. The hotel wifi was great. I worked for a few hours from the room (they have a generous 1:00 pm check-out time) before we headed back home. I love the jewel toned decor, repurposed furniture and quirky ambiance (artwork, photographs, hidden/not so hidden alligator motif). They give you a *real key* for the room, which is a nice retro touch. The shower was delightful, the bedding clean, crisp and comfy. I could not think of a better way to spend the first day of the 50th year of my life. We will be planning another staycation soon when it's a little warmer and we can also enjoy the pool :) Thank you, folks at The Chloe!

Great to see this place back to its original vibe--another solid save by Dickie Brennan…read more The menu is extensive, but the real draw is the oyster station. We went late on the final Sunday of Jazz Fest, so it was a bit quieter than expected, which made for a relaxed experience. The standout of the night was the raw oysters--big, classic Louisiana oysters at a very reasonable $2.33 each. We've come to prefer the flavor of smaller New England oysters, but at $3-$3.50 each, these were a great value. For entrées, we had three fish dishes and a veal piccata--the latter was the only miss. Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening. Total for four, including tip, came to about $310. Definitely worth a visit--this is a true New Orleans institution.

We arrived for our reservation and they said they were waiting for other guests to leave to seat us. We waited for 45 minutes before they sat us in a room that had only two other tables being used and a room full of empty tables otherwise. A server eventually showed up and we tried to order right away and she stopped us and said she would be back. This happened 3 times over the next 20 minutes. Meanwhile, all of those empty tables were slowly being set up by 4 other employees, all otherwise ignoring us. At this point we were very short on time and complained to the manager, who did not apologize but sent the server our way, who also did not only not apologize, but said "It's Mardi Gras what do you expect?" Again, there were only two other tables in the entire restaurant and a large handful of employees seemingly doing nothing at all. The food that did arrive was uncharacteristically bad and we did not even bother to finish, and it makes me wonder if it wasn't on purpose because of us complaining about waiting in an empty restaurant for an hour to actually be spoken to. We have been coming to Pascals for years because it is close to the Tucks' den and it was a nice tradition, but this was one of the most insulting experiences we've had, so we will be moving forward and making a new tradition next year.

When there are only adults there, it's a pretty nice atmosphere. However, it's a tall ceiling and the acoustics aren't great, so if you have a group of loud adults or screaming children, you want to get out of there as fast as possible as the noise level escalates quickly. Overall, a pretty good experience.
