I had a 1 person reservation at Cure on a Thursday night because I wanted a few drinks after my early dinner elsewhere. I offered to sit at the bar, but they actually had a full bar so I had a table to myself. To start, I had the La Vida Normal - A breezy, warm weather Old Fashioned featuring malty Japanese whiskey with notes of yuzu, gentian, and sarsparilla root. It had the same usual Old Fashioned flavors but with a yuzu flavor instead of your typical orange. My second drink was the Written Invitation, which according to their website is "Lavender, pear, and alpine aromatics make for a crisp and utterly refreshing whisky sour, evoking a leisurely jaunt through a sunny meadow". I loved this one. As a whisky sour fan, this was like a brighter, summery version. Service was fine, I think they might not have had enough staff for all the tables. I appreciated being left alone to have my drink, but it did take a while to get my second order in and get my check. I really enjoyed Cure. This is a great place for a date or drinks with the girls. It has a cozy and intimate atmosphere inside and then a spacious patio with more seating. Prices are on point. You can def spend a lot of money here though so make sure you know what you're ordering. They have some really creative and unique cocktails. While we didn't try the food this time, I'd like to go back to experience it. The staff isn't exactly warm but they are knowledgeable about their trade. Reservations HIGHLY recommended!! read more

Prices are a little more expensive than anything you'd order at a bar near the French Quarter, but the ingredients and care for each drink make it worth the price. The drinks were strong with the best crushed ice to keep them cold. Cure was one of my favorite places to grab a drink while visiting NOLA. Cockroaches don't bother me that much, so I thought the wall art and postcard were cool (can't say the same for my friends though, who were trying to avoid looking at the wall art). The menu is extensive, and I love that there's a great snack menu as well. The lighting is dim and cozy, so this would also be a great date night location. Our server was also very friendly, and we enjoyed hearing him chat about how he used to bartend in NYC. There's happy hour from 4-6pm Sunday to Thursday and 9:30pm to close. We didn't end up making it for happy hour, but even after happy hour, the cocktails aren't that bad ($12). I got the Moon Panda seasonal cocktail which was okay -- I preferred my friend's Fancy Free cocktail. It definitely gives you that hip, mid-upscale vibe with a warm decor and soft Indy-pop music. I had the Sunset in Trinidad cocktail. It was more on the tart side with a mildly sweet undertone. I'm not too sure whether their cocktails will give you a buzz, but they're definitely beautifully crafted. I also tried the escargot and mushroom toast. Both dishes were delicious. I will say, the escargot came in a spicier-than-expected butter. I was a fan! The mushroom toast was like eating the best toast ever with a creamy mushroom butter spread. I will definitely be back! The cocktails here are genuinely great, and the late-night happy hour is a hidden gem -- strong pours, creative mixes, and a really solid vibe to wind down your night. But I have to dock stars for something that seems small on the surface but completely undermines the experience: the payment system. On my first visit, they used a handheld reader and let me pay with Apple Pay -- quick, modern, and secure, exactly what you'd expect from a place this stylish. It actually impressed me. But when I came back recently, not only were they back to taking cards away from the table (why?), they flat-out refused to let me use Apple Pay. No explanation, just a dismissive "we don't do that here." Felt unnecessarily rude and wildly inconsistent. It's frustrating when a business shows you they can offer a seamless experience... and then decides to regress. In 2025, not accepting tap-to-pay when you already have the tech feels like a self-inflicted loss--especially at a place positioning itself as upscale and forward-thinking. I'll come back for the drinks, but I really hope they figure out that hospitality extends to how you end the night, not just how you start it. read more

Came here for a Friday happy hour and ordered the happy hour Margarita for $6. The drink was presented very well by the mixologist. Upon my first sip, the drink was absolutely STRONG. There was no need for a second drink because I was sitting sideways like Paul Wall after only a few sips. Before I went to Cure my reservations got rescheduled twice by the restaurant so they were already starting at a negative. After coming here I have to say that I can not recommend this establishment enough. Front to back, everything I had here was fantastic and it was an experience that I will not soon forget. We ate pâtè, cacio e Pepe deviled eggs, and escargot. They were all great, but a lot of places have a lot of great food. The thing that makes Cure stand out is a bartender by the name of Liz Kelley. I try a lot of cocktails around the country and most of them are mediocre at best. I had 3 drinks from Liz Kelley and two of them were the best two drinks I've had this year. The Weather Report is like nothing else I've ever tasted, and a drink that is no longer on the menu called THE DOUBLE TAKE is so outstanding that I could not speak afterwards. (The third was also great. Just not the best) When one goes to New Orleans they hear about the pillars that have a long history. Cure could be one of those if they do their best to keep this outstanding lead bartender. In a city of alcohol these were the best cocktails I've had by far. She is a very special bartender and I encourage everyone to find her and drink whatever she tells you to. Take away 2 things: 1: The day that Liz Kelley is not at Cure is the day I will no longer go. 2: The Double Take is one of the best cocktails I've ever had and it's not in the menu so you have to ask for it. read more

We sat outside in the courtyard, split a 5 for $25 charcuterie board and two drinks each; mine were the Moscow mule and Trap Door (a kiwi Negroni.) To be honest, I wasn't blown away by the drinks. Some incredibly interesting twists on classics, and some fascinating combinations that are sure to become new favorites. Cure has become our favorite "special" bar. We know we're going to spend more money here than at "the corner bar", and we know that on a busy night, we may not get in without reservations.
