I love this place. It's intimate and always has wonderful musicians playing. I love how off the beaten path it is, not everyone knows about it. I hadn't been in a while, so I was happy to go when my friend suggested the show. You walk in the door and are transported from the street (where the place doesn't look like much) and receive a warm welcome. The music venue part of the bar is to the side of the bar (haha right) and is almost like another room. It's pretty big once you actually walk around the corner. There's a lot of chairs so you can sit by the music! There's also couches and sitting area in the bar area. We had blood orange margaritas which were delicious and strong! We listened to the music for a while but it was just so crowded in the room so we were sitting on the floor, but we went in the other area and you can still hear the music! I need to go more often!

This place was chill and inviting. Seating area when you first walked in gives you living room vibes, like you can stay and congregate with comfort. Live music. Hilarious regulars who treat you like they've known you forever. This is the place to go if you want to hideout from the crowd and just chill. Keith! thanks for the hospitality.

Came for the Super Bowl all you can eat crawfish and beer for $15. Supposed to start at 2pm. Not so much. The single working bartender struggled to keep up. Her friends showed up with a dog, I hate pets allowed in food establishments. The owner was doing the crawfish by himself when he should have been the bartender reading other reviews. Other people could have helped boil the crawfish why he worked on his higher revenue products behind the bar. In the end the crawfish were done around 5:30, a small batch. Not enough to feed more than 1/4 of the people there on a small table. Luckily when we asked for a refund he gave it back to us for the crawfish and beer and apologized. Unfortunately for me and my group we spent over $50 on other beverages while waiting for the crawfish. I then had to drive to 5 guys to get food cause I was hungry. Had there been crawfish I would have spent another $50 at least. I wish him luck and success but, in my opinion as a manager the owner needs to watch bar rescue to avoid the same mistakes of not managing the situation and just getting stuck in the details of doing the wrong things will everything else goes wrong. I'm giving 3 starts to be nice but that night for me was a one star Super Bowl first impression fail to many potential longer term customers.

Unbelievable bar! It does happen to be owned by my Brother-in-law, but we could not be prouder of him. This area is being reborn and will soon be booming. The bar has a great setup, super comfortable, excellent menu of cocktails, beer, tea, and snacks. Keith is an amazing owner and bartender. Would highly recommend this to any locals or visitors to New Orleans. Sidebar also hosts private parties! Check it out!

Favorite bar in town. Many of the best musicians in the city. Frankly, the best damn Irish Coffee I've ever had.

How early would we need to get there to hear a band that starts at 8:00 on a Wednesday and still get a seat? Is it an ok neighborhood to walk from the Canal Streetcar?

Seating is limited as it's a small space so I'd say get there fairly early. I probably wouldn't walk from Canal, though... Not down Broad anyway. Maybe down a side street if you're familiar with the neighborhood.

Took an Uber there, as that's probably the best strategy for visiting anything in the Marigny or Bywater neighborhoods. Basically, it's an eclectic old house with a cool backyard dining area with the kinds of chairs you remember from elementary school. Local guitarist was playing a set for diners that afternoon on the stage. Front of the house full of different wines and the guy behind the counter was nice enough to suggest a good pairing with what we ordered to eat. My grilled pork chop with balsamic reduction was excellent. The perfect cut for such a dish. My wife loved her orechiette pasta and appetizer plate of olives. The white wine suggested to us was cold and refreshing. Everything matched well and the umbrella tables were clutch in the sun and heat of early summer. Hope to make it back for my next vacay

Dive bar vibe is the feels. String lights, old creaky floors, big bay window, lots of outdoor seats, plenty of bar for us all! Total NOLA vibe! Bartenders were cool. I got a bit inebriated twice here and ate here once. Love that I could just walk back to my swanky hotel. Solid choice, C! Check out Hotel Henrietta if you are nearby. I asked the guy behind the what he recommended. Instantly he said "the mussels". You don't have to say another word, bruh. I had the mussels for my meal, obviously. Wow. They were perfect. The sauce was amazing, not sure what the white shit was, don't partake in that mess. The mussels were expertly cooked and seemed really fresh. The hand cut fries were also really good. I loved this meal and this joint! If I were local, I'd be a regular for sure. Get your ass in here if you can. I would advise getting the mussels. 100% '26 - 95

And then I realized the "new" Delachaise is like a decade old! This birthday... let's say it hit hard with this realization that you can think something is new when it's actually ten years old. I love this Maple Street location of Delachaise. A longtime fan of the St. Charles location (13 years, in fact), I appreciate that this spot has full table service while the OG is order at the bar. It is also larger, sparkling and sharp. Both feel a little Parisian, just in wholly different ways. And I like the ambiance of both. Behold that cocktail menu! So many unique drinks and similar to the other Delachaise, expect to be impressed with the wines by the glass. I always appreciate a good glass of Sangiovese. I haven't checked out the food menu in a while at St. Charles, but I never seemed to be able to find anything vegan. There's vegan Buffalo cauliflower here, which I'll have to try next time. We ordered olives but they weren't really to my liking (cold, tasting strongly of vinegar rather than herbs and too many of the tiny black ones taking up space. I love Castelvetrano olives and there weren't any in the serving). Service is just so so nice. Really perfect. Can't wait to come back for more wine and an evening on the patio.
