This was my second time here and it's obviously great because I'm back! I sat at the bar as a was a single diner. Greetings and a menu were offered. I was looking for a cocktail menu but was informed that the cocktails are available next door across the patio. I just ordered my go to drink, an Old Fashioned. Browsing the menu, I decided to order one of the specials, the Smoked Jalapeño Burger with fries. My drink was great! I had no doubt there. The burger was perfect, and the fries? THE FRIES!! The perfect crunch omg, and there were so many. I also didn't know I needed fried jalapeños in my life! Everything was delicious and piping hot! I need to go back already!

Cool spot in Uptown N.O.  I came for happy hour. I enjoyed the laid-back and casual atmosphere. The bartenders were very attentive. They have a great variety of wine and cocktails. One of the happy hour wines this evening was a delicious sauvignon blanc. I opted for fries for the happy hour snack, which were tasty. There's a cute courtyard outside on the side of the place.  It appears that they may share it with the neighboring bar. There is additional outdoor seating in the front of the place. There's street parking that can be hard to come by. It's a busy street, and parking can get a little tight. I was fortunate this time and was able to snag a spot right out front. Will definitely come back, I really enjoyed my time there.

I've been wanting to check this place out since they combined the two spaces under one ownership. We sat on the Oak side which is a nice space but lacks character, white walls, no artwork besides the few stretched pieces of colored canvas to absorb sound. They offer a nice selection of wines and bubbles by the glass along with happy hour specials. I did wander over to Ale at one point to grab a beer which you can add things to your tab seamlessly from both establishments which is nice. The staff was very friendly and informative. The food was good not great, menu isn't all that interesting and was surprised they don't have any salads on the menu which would be nice with the dense offers they have on the menu. Overall it's a solid 3.5 stars for me. Nothing about it makes me want to rush back but I like the concept.

This place was such a vibe! We came on a Wednesday night and they had half off bottles of wine! That already deserves 5 stars on its own lol. But it's a cute spot to hang out with the girls and just sip and be cute. Definitely will be back. Also, Matthew at the bar is always so sweet and nice!

I can't give this place five stars because I did not eat here. We stopped for a drink while we were out walking but that being said. The staff and the place was fun. The menu looked delicious and all the food that we did see come out. Looked amazing. A large open area and a space bar make it very enjoyable also if you're out and about recommend stopping in. Let me know how the food is.

Great wine bar with great food! I wish we had more places like this around the city. It's a perfect bar with lots of wine on the menu! The bartenders are nice and helpful and all the wine and champagne is delicious. They have nice outdoor seating on the side and sometimes they have live music. The place is a little too loud though sometimes for the live music. I had tried some of the tapas on the menu and everything is so delicious. Very surprising how delicious the food is!

I love the ambiance... it's summer in south Louisiana and the flies are a problem however, I love the fries and bubbly on Thursday!

Went here before the midsummer mardi gras parade. The service was great and so was the food. The corn dog bites were delicious

Food is below par. Service was adequate. Ambiance was extremely noisy with a room full of young people playing computer games.

Bouligny Tavern was amazing!…read more Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of the food because we consumed it too quickly... we had their sirloin burger, fries, hush puppies. They were so good! For dessert we had the brownie and the butter cake! The butter cake was amazing! The brownie a bit dry. I think the brownie would've been much better with ice cream. However, all in all the food was 10 out of 10 would recommend! As for drinks, we tried just about everything on the menu, and I would highly recommend anything with gin in it! While the food was amazing, the service was a bit slow... As this was my first time, that's what I can say. However, I was visiting family who has been here multiple times and they were surprised by the slow service. So my assumption is that it is not slow service typically. Our waitress was awesome and very polite! I really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant! We were sat outside. I enjoyed the outdoor lighting and the music they were playing. Some might think the music was too loud, but I thought it was perfect! Would I recommend this place to other others? YES! I will be going back!

I don't hand out 5 stars often but this place is getting them!…read more It's more than a wine shop in my opinion and that's what makes it amazing. After a festive morning, I planned to just stop in real quick before heading across the street to Café Abyssinia, but the minute I walked in, yeah... those plans changed. The ambiance pulled me right in. It's calm, inviting, & just has that effortless vibe inside & outside where you can actually relax & enjoy yourself. I took my time looking through their wine & spirit selection, & everything feels really well thought out. They've also have small bites that pair perfectly with what you're drinking, from smoked mussels to other snacks that make you want to sit & stay awhile. We picked out a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, & I really appreciated that the bartender opened it & let us taste it first to make sure we liked it. That kind of attention to detail goes a long way. It was smooth, mild, & balanced, so we had her chill the bottle while we enjoyed our first glass. We sat at the bar & ordered anchovies on toast, sautéed mushrooms, & raw oysters with citrus mignonette, paired with a chilled 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma Valley. Everything hit. The oysters were some of the best I've had in a minute, fresh, cold, & beautifully plated. The sauteed mushrooms were rich with a silky egg yolk on top that just brought everything together & the anchovies on toast with butter & lemon zest... listen, that combination was so good. Creamy, salty, with just the right citrus balance. I'm still thinking about it. The vibe at the bar was great, everybody was in a good mood, & the staff was attentive & genuinely nice without being overbearing. It stayed busy, which is expected for Magazine Street, but nothing felt rushed. We moved outside because the weather was too nice not to, & that's when it really set in. Sitting there, sipping wine, eating good food, catching the breeze... we ended up staying almost two hours without even realizing it. Just one of those easy, feel-good moments. When I got home, I went on their website to check out more about the wine club & ended up joining. That pretty much says it all. This isn't just a quick stop for me anymore, it's somewhere I'll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend!

And then I realized the "new" Delachaise is like a decade old! This birthday... let's say it hit hard with this realization that you can think something is new when it's actually ten years old. I love this Maple Street location of Delachaise. A longtime fan of the St. Charles location (13 years, in fact), I appreciate that this spot has full table service while the OG is order at the bar. It is also larger, sparkling and sharp. Both feel a little Parisian, just in wholly different ways. And I like the ambiance of both. Behold that cocktail menu! So many unique drinks and similar to the other Delachaise, expect to be impressed with the wines by the glass. I always appreciate a good glass of Sangiovese. I haven't checked out the food menu in a while at St. Charles, but I never seemed to be able to find anything vegan. There's vegan Buffalo cauliflower here, which I'll have to try next time. We ordered olives but they weren't really to my liking (cold, tasting strongly of vinegar rather than herbs and too many of the tiny black ones taking up space. I love Castelvetrano olives and there weren't any in the serving). Service is just so so nice. Really perfect. Can't wait to come back for more wine and an evening on the patio.

Once you start getting your order, the plates slowly come out two or so at a time. Each plate had different qualities and a completely different flavor profile so I will review them all separately. Service while European took some getting used to. The owner is the only waiter which causes some delays. It's probably for the best as it allows them time to create the meal for you, but I believe it is important to acknowledge this in a review. Olives were a 5/5, very soft and fleshy and delicious unlike other restaurants in the area. Nothing much more to say. Good olives. Patatas were a 5/5; they were pleasantly fried and had a nice alioli. Not traditional but still good. Desperately begged for a sprinkle of salt on top of them though Ceviche was a 4/5, good flavor and texture on the shrimp and fish but were a bit too vinigary for my liking. The salad was the best part of it and was balanced perfectly. Mushrooms were a 5/5, they were just crimini mushrooms but the sauce was perfect for them. I ended up using the cracker that came with the jamón to soak it up. Jamón and chorizo were a 5/5, the sheep's cheese was delicious and you can never go wrong with meat and cheese. I preferred removing the cracker that came with them, though. Calamari steak was a 5/5 and my personal favorite. I've never had just tender and delicious squid. The owner prides himself on simple recipes and I'd have to say that this really showcased that. I could taste (and identify) nearly every flavor present in the dish just on one bite. The best part of the meal. The tortilla was my least favorite part and was a 1/5. I hate to say it, but I believe it was bad. It just tastes like a latke, but is not crispy and is very thick causing a bland and boring sensation. I finished my meal with an espresso with a pour of brandy. Espresso was strong and lovely and was a nice way to end the meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you love food and don't mind a wait, because it is definitely worth it.
