Cute place with nice staff. Good selection of beers and cocktails. Yummy bites to noms, while drinking.

I really enjoy this place! There are a few tables inside and outdoor seating. They offer a small menu for food and have a great beer selection. They are connected to a wine bar so when we have a group its easy for everyone to find what they like to drink. The wings and brussel sprouts are damn tasty. They offer this breakfast type dish...unfortunately not a fan of that one. There is metered parking out front. Nice spot for two or a group.

This is a very cute little location on Oak Street that boasts a sizable beer selection and some great bar snacks - our little group ended up grabbing a hummus plate, fries, and Brussels sprouts to share (highly recommend the sprouts. These were delicious). Our group stuck to the beer selection for drinks, but I did see the bartenders making some interesting cocktails, so I'm certain you can have whatever kind of night you're trying to have in this space. There is limited seating inside, but the main space is definitely the pictured outdoor patio area. Please note that as of June 2021, masks are required if you're sitting inside the bar. All in all very nice. Cool spot to grab a drink and kill some time with friends if that's what you're trying to do!

A great place to watch the saints for a casual Sunday! Food was delicious, great beer selection, and wonderful outdoor atmosphere to watch the game. We got wings, a burger, and tacos and everything was presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. Will be back!

Ale on Oak is absolutely a Carrollton area staple! They have an awesome beer selection that changes all the time with a nice balance of local and non-local beer. Would recommend anything from urban south or parish brewing. The food is delish too! Would recommend the wings, fries, and beer cheese burger! There's tons of tvs and always a good crowd for the LSU and Saints game making it a great game watch spot. The outdoor courtyard is my favorite place to sit. It connects to Oak wine bar and it has heaters in the winter time. Ale is definitely an underrated Nola spot that everyone should try.

Great little find. This place isn't obvious to the passerby but it has an amazing beer list and whiskey list too. Nick Offerman's doppelgänger works the bar... NBD.

Good selection of beers at this bar. Don't bother with cocktails or wine. Service was good enough. We liked the chill ambiance.

I find that most bars or pubs have too few options and all the same basic Abita and NOLA and urban south options.

Yet, it seems quite popular with locals and was fairly full for a Tuesday Trivia Night. I ordered a Pimm's cup since Pimm's was on the shelf - the bartender looked confused and told me they don't have any of the ingredients to make one. I changed my order to a flavored vodka - they don't stock any. I ended up ordering a Vodka & 7, but received a Vodka Soda. Were the drinks cheap? Not so much. Was the service friendly? Not so much. I ordered food hoping this was the redeeming feature of the bar. I ordered a steak sandwich at $18 - the service time was quick but the sandwich didn't have much flavor - it was a dry, difficult to bite through thin steak with not much flavor to speak of. The tater tots were crispy and hot and I loved the Brussel Sprouts; they were doused excessively in the dressing but I liked it. There is a nice patio out back - they had fans in this area which is always appreciated. This bar just didn't have the stock and amenities that many other bars in the area do have . Walk to magazine street for better options.

When you enter Cajun Mike's, it screams right into your face "Dive Bar!" From the tin ceiling to the well weathered bar top, fancy is not on the menu here. I came here because I heard their food was top notch, and I was hungry and grabbing food to go, so less walking to the hotel was the strategy so the food wouldn't be freezing when I got it back to the room. I perused the menu and decided on a few red beans and rice, a gator sausage po boy, a shrimp po boy and a roast beef po boy. I figured I may as well bring back a good sampling for both of us to try. I placed my order with the female bartender and then ordered a can of beer, no taps in this swanky joint. While I waited for my food to come out, I drank my beer and listened to the regulars and the bartender talk about various topics. My food was delivered pretty quickly, I then embarked on my walk back to the hotel. Once I arrived, we heated up the red beans and rice as it was not warm, but once it was, it was delicious. The big chunks of sausage really made it good and it had just the right amount of spice. All three of the po boy sandwiches were delicious in their own way: the shrimp was crispy and tender and full of flavor. The roast beef was full of flavor and absolutely delicious and the hair sausage was moist and flavorful as well. Each one was great in their own way. While o cannot speak much to the actual bar, since I spent limited time there, I can say the food here is outstanding. My beer was cold which is all I can ask for from a bar really. If you're hungry and don't want to venture down bourbon street, this place has great food that is reasonably priced.
