Stopped in for a drink before we caught a St Charles Streetcar. We ordered 2 Jameson and ginger and headed out in front to drink them. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and delicious drink. Friendly bartender inside and it was quite busy that day. She got us our drinks quickly and with a smile and great attitude.

    Buffalo wings

Been here twice - first time trying food - ordered buffalo wings, Korean chicken sandwich and cheesy tots. Order at the bar and take a seat! Bartenders are always friendly. Drinks are cold and the food is decent bar food. The wings were good - I like them (not breaded) tossed in buffalo sauce. The ranch and blue cheese are good too! Cheese tots were good when hot - when they cooled down it was a little hard to eat without a fork. Korean chicken sandwich was messy but really good. Would definitely order the sandwich and wings again.

This is a great local bar to watch a game. - Great appetizers. I had mini buffalo sandwiches - our waitress did an awesome job - was there to watch UK play and they out a TV on it for me even though LSU was playing - Looks like a lot if locals and college students hang here - Touch Tunes available This is a great place to relax and watch a game just outside the French Quarter.

Super duper! Shelby took such good care of us! Sometimes, it's all about the bartender, especially during football season. All beers were filled, she doesn't even care who wins, she just wants to fill your cup and make you smile. Such a great vibe. (Context: I read my book while my husband yells at the screen, it fulfills all niches.)

Some of the BEST wings I've had in New Orleans, crispy and rich flavor sauce, corn dogs were good as well. Cheap drinks & cool bartenders, great place to hang out.

Fat Harry's contends for the best wings in the city crown

Fat Harry's would be the ideal neighborhood sports tavern if it didn't hire Mets fans to sling drinks. Kidding. The bartenders are great, baseball allegiances aside. The atmosphere too. The clientele comes from all walks--from college kids to middle aged business men to the Golden Girls generation. Furthermore, the chow is phenomenal. Fat Harry's wings can compete with any in the city, and the Korean fried chicken sandwich is clucking amazing (unlike the stupid Mets). Go Phillies.

Classic Slider and Skirt Steak Slider both very good

Great sports bar on St. Charles in uptown. Staff is very friendly and they have pretty good food. The sliders are very good, especially the skirt steak. It's just a good neighborhood bar to stop and watch a game or grab a quick bite.

    Monday pitcher special

My favorite Monday special. Half off pitchers and wings at Fat Harry's. Sorry for the terrible photos but I was having such an amazing time documenting came secondary. The classic buffalo is good but the Korean wings have a special place in my heart, a very wonderful and unique wing sauce. Other menu items are good too, great all around bar food with a diverse menu. I feel like it's rare a bar even has pitchers let alone a night with a pitcher special, good selection of drafts, the big names but also a good combination of ipas and sours; local, regional, and national craft breweries.

For a sports bar, this place is literally ideal! Great divey ambiance with tons of TVs, and they blast the main game audio do you know what's going on and can really get into it. Pls ty of searing and several bartenders. You order from the bar and take a number to your table if you order food-which is awesome by the way and highly recommend! We went for Monday night football and I will say the specials are clutch. Cheap pitchers, we got a pitcher (4 full pint glasses) of Abita amber for $6.75 (less than $2 a beer?!) For food, we got the wedge salad which was yummy and fresh with huge pieces of freshly cooked bacon pieces, and fried pickle chips to start (delish and tangy). Then we got the wings ($10 for 10 or $20 for 20 - favorite sauce was chef's special which was a bbq/Buffalo combo), and the slider combo with chips (fat's double was an awesome juicy cheesy mini double cheeseburger, the Korean chicken wasn't my favorite, and the chips while good were super thin so would prob just get the fries next time). Overall, great place for a casual day/evening and especially for watching sports. Will be back!

My boss wanted to go here while we were in NOLA and I'm thinking to myself "all the great food in this state and you want wings?". Well, these wings were amazing and well worth the visit. Place was clean, staff was friendly and the wings were tops!! I'll be back, great place!!

We came to Fat Harry's on the 4th of July as one of the only places that was open. We came during the Bud Light pitcher happy hour and also ordered food. Between us, we tried a bunch of things- cheese fries, corn dogs, sliders, chicken BLTs, and a burger. Honestly the highlight of mine was the homemade Bleu cheese and pitchers. We went with four starts because the food all came out at once and the bacon had an odd color to it. Overall, the food was fairly cheap and so were the drinks. It's a good spot to hit when you're in the market for bar food and an easy place to chill. It was fairly quiet and low key through the whole experience! Definitely will be back.

There was a football game in when I went, and it was very crowded. The wings were ok, but it took over half an hour to get an order to go.

Between my partner and I, we didn't spend more than $30 in this place. This place is super low-key; no expectations of dressing fancy one bit. This past week we visited and we could both tell right away things were different. The inside of the restaurant was filthy and I mean filthy. You could see the floor under the bar and in the kitchen hadn't been cleaned in months. The fryers hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Everything just looked dirty and like no effort is put into cleaning and maintenance. We decided to eat anyway which was a mistake. We love their burgers that are cooked and steamed old school. We both ordered one. My wife ordered hers with bacon, which they charge over 3 bucks for. We both ordered our burger dressed with all the fixings. When my wife's burger came out it had no bacon and no fixings. I told the waiter and he said he would handled it. He never did as he started doing other orders. My burger had no flavor and it looked like the person that made it didn't care , which goes along with the restaurant cleanness. One thing that really turned us off was the was other guest were treated by staff. The "cook" was completely pissed off and had a horrible attitude. A group came in looking for a table and there wasn't room. He yelled at them that there wasn't room. They stood in the entrance area for a few moments and then he yelled at them that they needed to get out of the restaurant and wait outside. He told them this isn't a restroom so don't wait in line. The attitude and distain in his voice was overwhelming. A few minutes later a couple came in and found 2 seats at the bar. They decided to order food to go and was talking to the waiter. One of the 2 people ordering was standing behind the empty bar seat while they ordered. The cook yelled at this person that they needed to sit down. Both customers were stunned. The waiter told the cook they were making an order to go and the cook could be heard muttering under his breath. This little guy was nothing but attitude and seemed extremely pissed off the there. Maybe instead of being the restaurant traffic cop and total smart ass he should concentrate on getting orders straight since ours was screwed up and never fixed. Whatever charm this place had is gone along with the any effort to keep it up to clean standards.

Turtle Bay -- 4…read more Listen... this is MY spot. One of my favorite places and honestly one of the only places I'll sit down and eat in the French Quarter. I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years now, and they are easily in my top three. The vibe? Dive bar, laid back, no fuss... but the FOOD? Don't sleep on it. Their menu is solid and I still haven't made it through everything yet. I've had the wings, which we actually got this visit but ate them so fast we didn't even get a picture. That should tell you enough right there. I've had the pizza, and my husband usually goes for a burger. Never any complaints. They've got plenty on tap and the drinks hit too. I love a good Electric Lemonade, but this time I kept it simple with an Angry Orchard. Now let's talk about what keeps me coming back... The steak. We got our old faithful, one of their signature steaks, the 10oz petite ribeye. This is exactly what made me fall in love with Turtle Bay in the first place. Normally it's around $13.95, comes with a twice stuffed potato and a slice of garlic bread. A DEAL. This time it was a little higher, but still under $15, which honestly is still more than fair with how prices are these days. And when I say it be hitting... it be hitting. Only reason this visit didn't get a full 5 stars? My steak was cooked a little over my liking. I usually go for medium, and this one leaned more done than I prefer. Not horrible, just not my usual perfection. But everything else? Still solid. The staff is always nice, always welcoming. I've never had a bad experience with them, and that matters. And I already know I'm coming back because I keep hearing the crawfish is FIRE. Yeah... I need to see that for myself. This is my happy place. Open 24/7, consistent, affordable, and just a real gem in the French Quarter. The Bay is Babe. Period.

The staff was a big rough around the edges. I inquired about their buffalo burger by asking if their buffalo sauce was traditional (buttery) or just hot (like Texas Pete). Our server/bartender proceeded to go off that it wasn't fancy, that this was a dive bar, and it's hot buffalo sauce, etc. All I asked for was clarification and trust me- I wasn't expecting something fancy by the look of the place. Again, it's a dive. I ordered the burger anyways. When asked what temp I said medium rare. The burger came out well done (pictured) but at that point I didn't even care and just ate it because I didn't want to deal with the attitude the staff had. Prices were reasonable. The rest of the table had mixed reviews about the food. The pork bbq sandwich my friend got (the sub looking photograph) was VERY good and probably best thing any of us ordered.

New Orleans version of a NY bodega is where I found one of the best and most adorable shrimp po'boys. You'll have to put these directions into your phone, because the location is in the depths of the neighborhood district. It's walkable to and from the popular Canal Street, just much quieter and secluded. You won't be able to park on this particular street, but near by areas would allow for street parking. This is in fact a grocery store with a hot food market setup in the back. I was pleasantly greeted immediately as I entered by a gentleman stocking, and a nice lady behind the register. I immediately darted to the back of the store and saw the setup, simple with a bit of updated technology. You can order and pay at a tablet style screen, and wait for the magic to be made on the other side. It took about 5 minutes and I got a text my order was ready, the same gentleman who was stocking called out my name from the back and handed me a 12 inch shrimp po'boy for 12.00. This sandwich was incredible, loaded with crispy fried shrimp and fresh lettuce. The bun was soft and very fresh, I added extra pickles for an acidic flavor breakup to the fried fish and dough. The flavors were on point, very seasoned and perfectly cooked shrimp. I was very impressed by the price and quality....not to mention customer service. Pro Tip: My van driver mentioned to me before dropping me off at the hotel, a lot of people walk Burbon Street and turn around when it becomes residential. But there is actually a ton of life and experiences to be had off the beaten path, both local and authentic.
