We originally came for the restaurant upstairs, but when we arrived, the downstairs bartender let us know it wasn't open, maybe it's closed on Tuesdays. It would've been nice to know ahead of time since we Ubered over wanting food. That said, we ordered drinks with the downstairs bartender and still had a good time. Five stars to them for getting my beer, but I'm still a little annoyed they said they were open. Just update your hours!

One of my new favorite spots in New Orleans! The Library has so much to offer and truly lives up to its name. The decor is cozy and on theme, with comfy couches, chairs, and shelves lined with books. It is the perfect blend of trendy and casual. The cocktails are fantastic--expertly crafted by their talented bartenders--and the "Study Hall" happy hour deals are some of the best in town. Even better, these deals often run later than a typical happy hour. This is a great place to hang with friends, play games, or enjoy the fun atmosphere. While I haven't tried the food yet, I've noticed they do pop-ups with a variety of offerings like wings, empanadas, burgers, and tacos. It's definitely something I'd like to try on my next visit. Every time I've been, there's always something fun happening, whether it's a DJ, LSU or Saints game day, Harry Potter playing on the TV, or unique set-ups like a permanent jewelry table or book events. Highly recommend checking it out--it's definitely a gem!

The $6 happy hour alone is a reason to slide! Stopped by for the Friday night study hall and enjoyed the espresso martini with cognac and French 75. The crawfish empanada was a 10/10, no notes. Around 9 when the live reggae band showed up, the foot traffic heavily increased. Lowkey think this may be a college spot but it was still a vibe. Great service, bartenders were super competent and helpful. Would love to visit for game day next season.

This place is so cute!! Great drinks and plenty of space. I love how far they take the "library" theme with the set up, books, menu etc. I went during Shark week, and they had live "island vibes" music, which was cool. The drinks were pretty strong and well made. They had fresh oysters too, but I didn't get any.

I love the elegant vibe of this place. This is my first time having a French 75 I went down happy hour so it was only six dollars. The bartender was nice and the Long Island were strong but tasty. They also have a pool table in there which is really cool and it is really set up like a library with interesting books.

Such a vibe. Service was great. Band was fabulous and plays every Friday. People were making pizza on the balcony. Immaculate vibes

Whenever I ask people if they want to go to The Library with me, they don't expect a bar. I've only been here a few times and want to share my thoughts with y'all. Drinks: I usually get wine but ordered two cocktails the last time I went. The first, Gone With The Pimm, was way too sweet for my liking and tasted as though there was no alcohol whatsoever. I couldn't finish it. The second, Tequila Mockingbird, was delicious. It was with spicy tequila and packed a punch! Food: the pretzel bites are good but I don't recommend the cheese sauce - it is chunky and suspicious. The grilled cheese sounded much better than it tasted. The caprese salad, like everywhere you get it, was good. It was nice to have something refreshing after all the other carb-heavy menu items. Ambiance: it's hard to say what the noise level is usually like. The first time it was pleasant and not too loud. Last time I was there, I couldn't even hear the person next to me speak - WAY too noisy. In general, I'd give this place a chance. I'll definitely be back for the happy hour!

I got a few weird looks when I told my coworkers they could get a drink at "The Library." Seriously though this spot is legit. Crisp, clean intentior. Books abound. & yes you can read them. Christian, one of the bartenders, actually brought me a neat astrology book to read through. The food is fresh. The grilled cheese was on point. The mocktail I had was delightfully refreshing. They also do Drag Brunch every other Sunday. I hear it's a real good time. & I believe they will be starting Burlesque Brunch every other Saturday as well. & they have "study hall" which is their take on happy hour, if you want to catch some discounted drinks and noms.

I really enjoyed hanging out at The Library via the Official Yelp Elite Event. Obsessed with their food offerings and spin on their drinks. I got to experience my 1st Cucumber Gimblet here and I will say the bartender definitely knew what she was doing when it can to the mixing of this drink. Definitely tasty and crisp! The fried pickles were probably the best I have tried at a bar thus far. I suggest hanging out upstairs at the bar which is pretty outstanding when it comes to decor. There are plenty of couches and even a pool table, which was free! Such a legit hangout spot. They have a Happy Hour: Mon-Fri 5-8pm. $2 martinis

The Library is a new spot worth checking out. They have happy hour from 5-8pm which is perfect when getting off late and not having to fight traffic which I would for their $2 martinis. The atmosphere and decor is very cool & upstairs there's a bar open balcony and pool table. Downstairs they also have video poker machines to keep you occupied while you wait. Looks like it would be perfect for hosting a event possibly. I had the farmers market sandwich it was very light but the portobello mushroom along with the zucchini made the sandwich. The staff was very helpful too. I plan on returning to taste other items & for happy hour soon.

Drove across town just for them to say they're closed at 10:20 when their website says midnight. Love that.

What time is happy hour on Fridays?

    5:00-8:00.

We are out of towners. Are kids (mine is 12) allowed in to eat? Or is it strictly a bar atmosphere?

It's not really a "kid friendly" place I would recommend superior grill (Mexican) on lake Charles or the Delachaise is a great little place with amazing food and outside… Read more

Do they have a happy hour special?

Absolutely, our current happy hour rolls Monday through Friday 5-8pm. It includes $2 Martinis, $2 Manhattans and $5 wine and sangria. We hope to see you soon!

However, I was visiting family who has been here multiple times and they were surprised by the slow service. So my assumption is that it is not slow service typically. Our waitress was awesome and very polite! I really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant! We were sat outside. I enjoyed the outdoor lighting and the music they were playing. Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!

I paired it with the shrimp and it was tasty! According to the hop on/off bus the beignets & champagne are the hit at this cafe. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect whether you want a relaxed brunch or just a fun place to grab cocktails. The building itself is an old house that's been turned into lodging and a restaurant, which adds so much charm and character. If you're visiting NOLA, this is definitely a must-visit spot. Inside, the décor is eclectic, fun, and full of personality. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably sit at the bar for cocktails, enjoy a meal, or just relax. There are several side rooms with couches and seating areas, which makes it great for meeting friends, family, or colleagues to unwind after a busy day--or even just popping in while strolling around the city. We went for Saturday brunch, and the menu isn't huge--which I actually love because it means everything is done well. There were plenty of options, including gluten-free and vegetarian choices. The seating is comfortable and spaced out so you don't feel crowded by other diners. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was really good. The cocktails were also excellent--generous pours and well made. After brunch, we walked out back to the pool area and enjoyed another cocktail while soaking in the beautiful day. It was the perfect ending to a great brunch experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place with great food, great drinks, and a uniquely New Orleans!

The stay was *beyond my expectations* (we had been there before for drinks but not to the hotel part). Every single person we encountered on staff was SO kind and fun from the moment we walked in. Started the evening at the bar, which had a great mix of neighbors/regulars (with cute dogs) and tourists. The liquor selection and cured cocktails are magical. We checked into Room #4, which was perfect. Every room at the hotel has a record player, a Marshall external mini amp/speaker and the best mini bar selection...just knowing it was there was awesome (we did eventually cave in and enjoy some flavored pretzel twists). Dinner was SO yummy. Our waiter, Jasper, was a rock star...He arranged for a nice surprise birthday beverage. We had the gumbo (a meal in itself that was so good we saved half of it to take home and ended up devouring it cold from the mini fridge before we left the next morning...it was *that good*), the goat cheese app (the bread and the honey poured on top was divine), the stuffed redfish (once I was done with my meal, the empty plate almost looked like it was licked clean...Although tempted, I was actually able to keep my composure and not do that...) and the double stack burger (also saved to bring home and perfect for a snack this evening). The room was the ideal hideaway (located at the back of the second floor) for our little staycation. We jammed out to Muddy Waters on the turntable while getting ready (next time, we are going to borrow one of their themed record stacks...It was a work night...Monday...so we had to keep things low key). It was super easy to sign into streaming apps on the room TV...After dinner, we watched the end of the NFL Playoff game and then Netflixed and Chilled. Even though there was a large-ish reception going on downstairs, we heard nothing from our room. The breakfast (included with the room) was the perfect way to start my work day the next day. It arrived right at the selected time. Delicious coffee, eggs, breakfast potatoes and crispy bacon. The hotel wifi was great. I worked for a few hours from the room (they have a generous 1:00 pm check-out time) before we headed back home. I love the jewel toned decor, repurposed furniture and quirky ambiance (artwork, photographs, hidden/not so hidden alligator motif). They give you a *real key* for the room, which is a nice retro touch. The shower was delightful, the bedding clean, crisp and comfy. I could not think of a better way to spend the first day of the 50th year of my life. We will be planning another staycation soon when it's a little warmer and we can also enjoy the pool :) Thank you, folks at The Chloe!
