Really cool ambiance and wonderfully crafted (reasonably priced) cocktails as well. Free pool!

Super cute and vibey bar, not crowded at all even though we went for happy hour ("study hall") on Friday. Bartenders were super friendly and attentive, and the drink deals were great. The kitchen wasn't open and they weren't doing the pop-up meals they sometimes do, so we went somewhere else for dinner, but I would definitely go back just for the drinks and vibe.

We originally came for the restaurant upstairs, but when we arrived, the downstairs bartender let us know it wasn't open, maybe it's closed on Tuesdays. It would've been nice to know ahead of time since we Ubered over wanting food. That said, we ordered drinks with the downstairs bartender and still had a good time. Five stars to them for getting my beer, but I'm still a little annoyed they said they were open. Just update your hours!

One of my new favorite spots in New Orleans! The Library has so much to offer and truly lives up to its name. The decor is cozy and on theme, with comfy couches, chairs, and shelves lined with books. It is the perfect blend of trendy and casual. The cocktails are fantastic--expertly crafted by their talented bartenders--and the "Study Hall" happy hour deals are some of the best in town. Even better, these deals often run later than a typical happy hour. This is a great place to hang with friends, play games, or enjoy the fun atmosphere. While I haven't tried the food yet, I've noticed they do pop-ups with a variety of offerings like wings, empanadas, burgers, and tacos. It's definitely something I'd like to try on my next visit. Every time I've been, there's always something fun happening, whether it's a DJ, LSU or Saints game day, Harry Potter playing on the TV, or unique set-ups like a permanent jewelry table or book events. Highly recommend checking it out--it's definitely a gem!

The $6 happy hour alone is a reason to slide! Stopped by for the Friday night study hall and enjoyed the espresso martini with cognac and French 75. The crawfish empanada was a 10/10, no notes. Around 9 when the live reggae band showed up, the foot traffic heavily increased. Lowkey think this may be a college spot but it was still a vibe. Great service, bartenders were super competent and helpful. Would love to visit for game day next season.

This place is so cute!! Great drinks and plenty of space. I love how far they take the "library" theme with the set up, books, menu etc. I went during Shark week, and they had live "island vibes" music, which was cool. The drinks were pretty strong and well made. They had fresh oysters too, but I didn't get any.

I love the elegant vibe of this place. This is my first time having a French 75 I went down happy hour so it was only six dollars. The bartender was nice and the Long Island were strong but tasty. They also have a pool table in there which is really cool and it is really set up like a library with interesting books.

Such a vibe. Service was great. Band was fabulous and plays every Friday. People were making pizza on the balcony. Immaculate vibes

Drove across town just for them to say they're closed at 10:20 when their website says midnight. Love that.

What time is happy hour on Fridays?

    5:00-8:00.

We are out of towners. Are kids (mine is 12) allowed in to eat? Or is it strictly a bar atmosphere?

It's not really a "kid friendly" place I would recommend superior grill (Mexican) on lake Charles or the Delachaise is a great little place with amazing food and outside…

Do they have a happy hour special?

Absolutely, our current happy hour rolls Monday through Friday 5-8pm. It includes $2 Martinis, $2 Manhattans and $5 wine and sangria. We hope to see you soon!

Dive bar vibe is the feels. String lights, old creaky floors, big bay window, lots of outdoor seats, plenty of bar for us all! Total NOLA vibe! Bartenders were cool. I got a bit inebriated twice here and ate here once. Love that I could just walk back to my swanky hotel. Solid choice, C! Check out Hotel Henrietta if you are nearby. I asked the guy behind the what he recommended. Instantly he said "the mussels". You don't have to say another word, bruh. I had the mussels for my meal, obviously. Wow. They were perfect. The sauce was amazing, not sure what the white shit was, don't partake in that mess. The mussels were expertly cooked and seemed really fresh. The hand cut fries were also really good. I loved this meal and this joint! If I were local, I'd be a regular for sure. Get your ass in here if you can. I would advise getting the mussels. 100% '26 - 95

Chimmay on tap was dry but a Fin Du Monde was available to save the night. Big portion of house mushrooms had some bonus artichoke hearts and peppers in there for a nice surprise. The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
