Stopped in for brunch while visiting my best friend in Chicago. It's one of his favorite spots and I definitely see why! The food is absolutely delicious and we were able to sit outside. Even though it was windy (in Chicago?!), the restaurant did their best to remedy the pitfalls of the city's nickname. Food-wise, I had the Walter Salad and ya'll... it may be the best one I've had without making it myself. Because you are immediately given a small piece of cake as a free appetizer, and I got the vegan cake. I did post a picture of our cakes. I am not sure exactly what the flavor was, but we both liked what we had. I would like to call out our server, Seth, who was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. All of those qualities enhanced the dining experience. Because my friend is adamantly NOT vegan, she had a traditional patty melt, which came with a whole mess of French fries. I ordered the vegan soyrizo tacos; I got three tacos, along with small bowls of black beans and rice. Definitely filling meals for both of us! I managed to eat the tacos, and I took the rice and black beans home for dinner. Betsy got through her patty melt, and took French fries home. Betsy's ice tea was a tall, big glass.
