They also stop sending ten minutes to close. Sadly we never heard a last call. Be I ordered the Cajun omelet with bacon added and it was delicious. The eggs were very fresh and I could tell. My friends ordered dishes with hollandaise sauce (one had salmon and I don't recall the other ones). Lastly the banana foster French toast was the highlight. Crispy and flavorful.... Pros: They have great non alcoholic drinks with alcohol free spirits! As a non drinker I really appreciate this. My drink (something with lime and NA tequila I forget the name) was delicious. The breakfast potatoes are INCREDIBLE and some items on the menu are good value (American breakfast for example- $13 for 2 eggs, the best breakfast potatoes of all time, meat or avocado, and toast.) Cons: service was slow even though it wasn't busy. Our drinks didn't come out until we were almost totally done with our food. Napkins are super tiny and chinsey. Our table was missing 2 glasses and waitress never got more after we asked her so we just jacked them from the empty table next to us, some dishes are not great value ($14 burger no sides). Super cute breakfast spot! I love the ambiance and the design inside the restaurant. We were seated in a large booth that can fit 6 people easily. There were plenty of tables that can fit small to large parties which was nice to see. Our server was friendly and helpful, but unfortunately their espresso machine was out of order and they didn't have fries available when we came in so it was a little bummer. It's big and open with a lot of booths and tables. I went on a Friday morning around 9 with my husband and baby and we had no issues grabbing a table, there were maybe 2-3 other tables at the time. It stayed fairly empty while we dinned. I got the all American breakfast with potatoes, sausage, toast and added bacon. Came here the day after Thanksgiving with a few friends for brunch. They have free parking outside in a lot which is very convenient. We grabbed some drinks and some food. I got the salmon Benedict and my wife got an omelette of some sort, and I also got a coffee. Overall salmon Benedict wasn't anything to rave about. It looked like a thin slice of an English muffin that I could get from the store, one layer of salmon, an egg that was only half the size of the bagel, and there was a lot of hollandaise sauce. There were no other garnishes besides spinach, and no other sides accompanied with it. Hollandaise sauce overpowered the whole dish. My wife omelette was good, again nothing to rave about, and it seemed like something I could cook easily at home. The service was good and the ambience was nice, I just didn't think the food was worth it at the price point especially with how simple the dishes were. read more

Went here for brunch a few weeks back and the food was really good! I was in the mood for an omelet so I am glad we stopped here. We ate outside, I like how their outdoor booths have a little privacy screen so you aren't just staring at the cars. As for the restaurant itself, it appeared very clean and bright. The staff was attentive and fast. I got the Sicilian omelet which was delicious and the amount of goat cheese in it was perfect! I love anything with sun dried tomatoes and artichokes. My boyfriend got the Cajun omelet and he said it was one of the best he had. We also were surprised about the breakfast potatoes, because normally when you get a side of potatoes they don't look as perfect and delicious as these. Great addition to the brunch scene in Chicago! Stay Cafe is such a cozy but modern venue to satisfy your brunch needs. The Chef really shines with the Banana Foster French Toast, among some of the best French Toast I've had. I've also had the potatoes which are a delight that you don't get everywhere. I was pleasantly surprised with the Quinoa salad, the dressing was perfect and really made it tasty. If I could make all Vegan food this delicious, I'd have no problem going Vegan. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Having come here a few times, the only downside I've encountered is the service. It is quite disappointing when your food/coffee takes forever because the server forgot to put the order in and/or when your coffee does not get refilled. This happened with a couple of family members. The space is on Milwaukee, right off the Milwaukee/Western/Armitage intersection so a few minute walk from Western blue line. I have found an awesome cafe. But sadly, it's an hour drive from my home. But I have to share. It's worth the time. Free off-road parking two minutes away ( gated) . Look for the small sign on the ticket shed. There's also large paintings on a brick wall. Now back to the cafe. I liked the decor modem and bright. Large booths and tables. Comfortable seating all round. The staff were helpful and friendly. Watching the staff, you can see teamwork. The menu is a good size. Something enjoyable for everyone. Plus, there's great coffee options and other drinks. The food we all chose came out hot and in a great time frame. All tastie. For me, it's a 10 out of 10. I look forward to going back. Chicago is known for its brunch and brunch places. It is one of the few cities that I know where brunch is a big thing. So naturally, I had to try Stay Cafe in Logan Square. First, I loved the interior. I thought their exposed brick walls with lush plants were so cool and captured the Chicago and Logan Square vibe. Plus, they have a huge feature fall featuring a cool mural in their sitting area. Second, they have parking. In Chicago, I cannot emphasize how important this is, especially a neighborhood like Logan Square that has a lot of parking restrictions. It's right next store and it's huge. It's the parking lot for the closed CVS. Sadly, when I went to the restaurant, I wasn't aware of it, and parked on the street a few blocks away. Third, their food is amazing. I ordered a latte, the red velvet buttermilk pancakes, the stay burger, house cut fries and the all American breakfast. The pancakes were light and fluffy and thankfully not over sweet. The all American breakfast was good and had the right components. However the burger was great and the had cut fried were phenomenal. Fourth, the service was very good. The wait staff was nice and the food came out quickly. In sum, you definitely need to try this spot and add it as a go to brunch spot. read more

We opted to sit outside and I liked the view. It gives you that NY outside cafe vibe. The one caveat is the El train that is in the near distant...very loud when it passes every 15 -20 min. The music playing was nice and not too loud. I like that the menu is not overwhelmed by too many choices. It makes it easier to choose. As stated, the food was really good. I am not a pancake fan, but I love red velvet cake. So I had to try the RV pancakes. They were really delicious. The toffee crumble latte was good too, but by the time it got to the table it was barely warm. Glad I ordered it in a to-go cup. By far the best thing we tried was the cajun omelette. It was less spicier than expected. It could use a little more spice (especially with a name like that). Chai tea latte was good as well, but have had better at other local coffee shops. Decor is light, airy, and full of plants - very clean! This is a good place for a business lunch. Food: I got the All American Breakfast. The bacon was crisped to perfection, my favorite part of the dish. When the plate was set down, I did mistake the potatoes for sausages, or possibly mushrooms. They didn't look like potatoes to me, but I tried them and they were loaded with flavor. I couldn't tell you what flavors were there, but they were interesting. They have a lot of nice cafe selections for your beverage, but I stuck with a good ol' classic coffee that did not disappoint. If I could get a coffee like that everyday, I would. Also, some cuts of the artichoke were not cut correctly so they included the hard stringy inedible parts of the vegetable. After I visited, I saw that they are running a breakfast club special where customers get an entree + side for $9. This is on their website and Instagram and my waiter didn't tell me about this special. I was there within the day/ time frame and there is no mention that customers need to have a coupon or mention the special. My server never asked me if I wanted a refill on my coffee. The portion of bacon was 2 very thin, small strips of bacon for $5. This place has a nice large interior but the food and service are subpar. I would not recommend this place, unless you are in a pinch for a spot for large groups.
