If you don't come for anything else, please come for the breakfast potatoes and vibes. I came solo on a weekday afternoon for brunch. There was only one other table of people there when I stopped by, but this place may get more traffic on the weekends. The space is fairly large and can fit both smaller groups and larger ones. I didn't bring my laptop when I came by, but I could totally see myself coming back on a weekday to be productive. I ordered the cajun omelet and breakfast potatoes. The omelet was the perfect size and the ingredients tasted fresh. The breakfast potatoes are different from most others I've had and I really enjoyed them. Great Logan Square area daytime place!

Stay Cafe is the breakfast/brunch spot that Logan Square needed Open 7 days a week from 7am - 2pm, you can get tasty breakfast, brunch or lunch! They are offering a great selection of food AND drinks and is the perfect spot to get your day started. The vibes are chill and relaxed and as customers start to pile in, you get the cool, neighborhood vibes. Plenty of families were there, so feel free to bring the kiddos too! Food that I tried: Smoked Salmon Benedict Banana Foster French Toast Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes Breakfast Potatoes Scrambled Eggs Everything was GOOD! The bananas foster French toast was delicious and I loved the candied pecans on top. However - BREAKFAST POTATOES!!!! O. M. G. They were BEYOND GOOD! They're made with a black pepper pecorino aioli that is crazy good. These are the best breakfast potatoes I've had anywhere! They also have mimosa flights and an espresso bar. Sweet! Try their Sister location a couple of doors down - Bad Habit. It's sooooooo delish and one of my favorite restaurants in Logan Square. I love them! Pop in one morning to try them for yourself and tell 'em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you and be sure to follow me for more great recs around Chicago and beyond. Enjoy!

Smoked salmon Benedict!! That dill hollandaise was so good.

The cutest spot. Warm and friendly staff. Food was delicious. Smoked salmon Eggs Benedict with perfectly poached eggs and nice large slices of smoked salmon!!! And yes, the dill hollandaise sauce was really good. We got table pancakes to share and they were light and delicious fluffy with enough fruit for us to share. Perfect post puppy yoga brunch!!!

Went here for brunch a few weeks back and the food was really good! I was in the mood for an omelet so I am glad we stopped here. We ate outside, I like how their outdoor booths have a little privacy screen so you aren't just staring at the cars. As for the restaurant itself, it appeared very clean and bright. The staff was attentive and fast. I got the Sicilian omelet which was delicious and the amount of goat cheese in it was perfect! I love anything with sun dried tomatoes and artichokes. My boyfriend got the Cajun omelet and he said it was one of the best he had. We also were surprised about the breakfast potatoes, because normally when you get a side of potatoes they don't look as perfect and delicious as these. Would definitely recommend getting them on the side!

Great addition to the brunch scene in Chicago! Stay Cafe is such a cozy but modern venue to satisfy your brunch needs. The Chef really shines with the Banana Foster French Toast, among some of the best French Toast I've had. I've also had the potatoes which are a delight that you don't get everywhere. I was pleasantly surprised with the Quinoa salad, the dressing was perfect and really made it tasty. If I could make all Vegan food this delicious, I'd have no problem going Vegan. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Having come here a few times, the only downside I've encountered is the service. It is quite disappointing when your food/coffee takes forever because the server forgot to put the order in and/or when your coffee does not get refilled. This happened with a couple of family members. The space is on Milwaukee, right off the Milwaukee/Western/Armitage intersection so a few minute walk from Western blue line. Street parking is metered but many folks use the lot next door, where the Robin Williams mural is.

Stay cafe was one of the best brunch places we recently have went to in Chicago! The restaurant was filled with beautiful plants and felt very clean. It was awesome that they offered brunch and lunch options. They also had a lovely drink menu (alcoholic and non alcoholic). Highly recommend their breakfast potatoes!!

Space is modern with convenient street parking. Food and service was only okay. Expected a little more from the red velvet pancakes but they were a bit more chewy and less fluffy than I would've liked. My espresso martini was good. Presentation for my omelette and several other dishes was lackluster. Maybe because I'm used to getting some type of house potatoes or toast at the least with my brunch orders.

I have found an awesome cafe. But sadly, it's an hour drive from my home. But I have to share. It's worth the time. Free off-road parking two minutes away ( gated) . Look for the small sign on the ticket shed. There's also large paintings on a brick wall. Now back to the cafe. I liked the decor modem and bright. Large booths and tables. Comfortable seating all round. The staff were helpful and friendly. Watching the staff, you can see teamwork. The menu is a good size. Something enjoyable for everyone. Plus, there's great coffee options and other drinks. The food we all chose came out hot and in a great time frame. All tastie. For me, it's a 10 out of 10. I look forward to going back. A little information. Connecting to the cafe is a small bar . Which I was invited to see. Beautiful inside. Has a private room for events. Any food served is prepared from the stay cafe. check this out also for times. But even better, there's a Speak easy in the basement, which will be opening soon. Great all-around building.

My salted caramel coffee was epic! The all American breakfast was pretty standard, a little light - the 1 slice of toast was noticeable. The avocado breakfast sandwich was good but confused us since the chickpea was more fritter / patty then a hash & looked like breaded chicken - feel like they should update the menu name. Not much avocado, since it's only a spread

We came for a girls' brunch and had made a reservation just in case but it wasn't busy. Plenty of seats available for a Sunday brunch. The food was nothing extraordinary. I got the all American and the sausage was really salty I couldn't even finish it. The hash was only good because of the sauce. The red velvet pancakes was meh. It wasn't as fluffy was I thought it was going to be. Drinks were pretty good too. Not sure if the music was too loud for him or if my friend spoke to soft but we had to repeat to him multiple times what we needed. Even the presentation of the food was so plain. It's been on my list to try since it's so close to home but don't think I would come back.

We were so gonna get that fish and chips equivalent, so it took us some time to finally decided on the meal choice. My husband got the breakfast with chicken sausages, while I got the burger. Their burger is great with two thin patties. The veggies and pickles with it is delicious. The bun is pretty good. The fries was decent. His breakfast is so much better than mine though! I tried everything on his plate and it was good! After we finished our meal, we also took some nice pictures at the balcony which you can see all the way to the Field Museum area on a nice weather day. The restaurant is conveniently located near the Grant Park area. We actually visited the cloud gate, fountain, The cultural center, Target/5 below, comic stores, route 66 sign, Chicago stock exchange arch, and the art institution all in that trip. Very convenient! Their reservation opens 2 weeks before. If we ever go back to Chicago, we will definitely visit them again. Hopefully I will complete my Invisalign treatment and can actual eat more food! The elevator is very "vintage" btw. We tried both the express and regular elevators and that was an interesting ride...

The charcuterie did not skimp out like some cheese/meat plates do.. it was a satisfying amount that we kept going back for more. The pretzel was outstanding, twisted and hot, perfectly soft and salty. To eat, I split the Gretel Griddle Burger and the Fried Chicken Sandwich with my friend because although we were there for the burger, I kept reading about the chicken sandwich being fantastic. Booyy they were not wrong!! As much as I loved the burger, the chicken sandwich was my favorite! Perfectly crispy, with this sweet and spicy glaze and the crunchy Asian pear slaw... OMG. I'm still dreaming about this! One thing we were excited about were the Elote Riblettes.. but I wouldn't order these again. I accidentally bit the whole thing and didn't realize they kept the core in, and I had to spit it out. And even after eating it properly it didn't feel like I got enough of it from those little bites. Loved the fries though! We didn't see a dessert menu but we would have definitely been interested in that. After all the drinks apps and the chicken sandwich I was feeling so full so I couldn't finish the burger so I got it wrapped to go. Their fries are good, and actually stand out more than the burger. Everything is overpriced. I don't know why people complain about the wait; do some research like a responsible adult. I never just walk into a place and expect to be immediately seated, I call first - like anyone who has some sense. If they tell you the wait is 2 hours and you have 2 hours to kill, there are a bunch of bars in the area where you can have some drinks and an appetizer (and not feel like you're stiffing Au Cheval; they're the ones with the 2 hour wait, what do they expect people to do?) Not much to say about the decor or ambience; it's a typically loud West Loop bar with mostly 20 - 30 somethings all trying to one-up each other with their trendiness that instead makes them all basically clones of each other. It is crowded, and you're a moron if you think any place like this is suitable for your 5 year old. That's not the restaurant's fault - it's not Chuck E Cheese. Often I wish Yelp offered a 1/2 star option, because there are places that are a 4.5 or a 3.5. Not in this case. 3 stars is spot-on.
