Smoked Lamb Bocadillo w little fries/patatas bravas bites i think

Absolutely incredible sandwich spot. The Smoked lamb had some rich, deep stewy tomato and spice flavors I had not yet encountered in Chicago. And the spanish bread is everything. This new location on Grand is very cute and has a welcoming aesthetic with a vestibule of black/white hex tiles moving into a light touch of 1930s gotham interior jewel tones but still with a modern clean neighborhood cafe vibe. Pottery, spanish olive oil, and tinned fish is on display for grab and go gifts and the beverages are all cool and unique, we tried the hibiscus rosewater soda and I need more. All the better that the desserts are unique and delicious (get yourself some almond custard pie). All in all, so happy to have this nearby, we'll be back for their dinner service for sure.

In these pics: Extremaduran almond pie, bocadillos, Spanish cortado, salad with sherry vinaigrette and shaved manchego cheese.

We love Bocadillo Market & its new location in West Town is fantastic; the vibe is great and we've been there every weekend since they reopened, trying everything on the menu one by one, for carry-out as well as dining in. Chef James and his wife Jessica are warm, welcoming hosts, too. The bocadillos with jamon serrano and melted Mahon cheese, and the bocadillos with goat cheese & sobrasada spread plus squash blossom and avocado are favorites! The empanada of the day is always great (Chef James makes a superb crust). Patatas bravas are the best. And, always get the salad. P.S. the place is BYOB.

Oh this is a must stop. Don't let this unassuming outside deter you from stopping in. Chef James is great and his quality of food is impeccable. My wife and I stoped by for lunch on a Friday and oh my. We split the eggplant empanada and lentil soup. We then each had crispy calamari and smoked lamb. Holy, everything was great. Rich deep flavors and attention to detail is great to see.

Delicious Smoke Lamb & Patatas Bravas!!

Bocadillo market has incredible food and service! It is my family's favorite place to spend a Sunday morning and in addition to the great food the chef works with a variety of charitable organizations that benefit Chicago schools and families. Great food, great service, great owners, must check this place out!! It will quickly become one of your favorite places in Chicago. Cheers!!

The stew was out of this world. Would like to recreate it at home.

We grabbed a reservation for an early Sunday lunch the day before, but the restaurant was pretty empty. Tavern Style Pepperoni (4.75/5): Crust is super crunchy and the tomato sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Pepperoni was uber savory and salty with a good crisp on em. Texturally, everything about this was perfect and you can just tell all the ingredients used were high quality. Mozzarella Sticks (4.5/5): Picture perfect mozzarella sticks. Insane crunch with a good amount of salt on the outside and melty, stretchy cheese when it hits your table. As with the pizza, the tomato in the marinara sauce really shines through.

Vibes in there are super fun and chic, casual but still cute and a little bit old-school I had done my research on our order lol but was really impressed by everything. We started with mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini, and meatballs, which were all generous portions and very tasty. The mozzarella sticks were very silky on the inside crunchy on the outside and came with a nice flavorful pomodoro dip. The meatballs had an Italian sausage/fennel flavor and were very tender, and the zucchini chips were the star of the apps!! Nice and crisp, they were cut into little super thin chips not like a traditional fried zucchini and the dipping sauce on that was also delicious and super fresh tasting Finally, we tried the spicy vodka tavern style pizza and added pepperoni to half. It was great both ways, super flavorful and the crust was perfectly crisp without being dry or overly crumbly. Pepperoni was a nice addition but not needed for sure. Would love to come back to try a pasta and dessert!

There are a lot of bars and places to watch football in this area, but this spot seems like it's a great one. First, the food was very good. I ordered the smashburger with tots, buffalo chicken wings, an espresso martini and a cookie skillet for dessert. I've had a lot of smashburgers and this is a very good one. The espresso martini measures up to anyone that I've had in any Chicago bar. The tots were hot and crispy and the chicken wings very good. The cookie skillet is a a must order for dessert. I loved the ambiance. It's a pretty classic bar and grill with a lot of TVs, but their patio sets the place apart. It gets tons of sun and still has plate of TVs to watch the game. The service as excellent. My waitress was nice, attentive and had good suggestions. This is a must visit apart for a drink, food or to juts watch the game.

The tater tots were very crispy and tasty. My only complaint is that the Caesar wrap lettuce wasn't crispy since it was served warm and I just assumed it was going to be served cold and crunchy. It was still good but when I ate it the next day after it was in the fridge it was definitely better. I would definitely go back since it was seasoned well and had a good ratio of lettuce, chicken, and Parmesan.
