George took my 75' sony TV, diagnosed it over the phone. Dropped it off and had it back 1 week later working perfectly. Thanks!!

This man is honest. I had a seven-year-old Magnavox TV that just stopped working and I took it by to ask him if it could be repaired. He told me that it was just not worth being repaired and that I should just get a new one! Instead of trying to take my money, he gave me a good recommendation. I appreciate honesty in business; seems to be pretty rare nowadays. read more

They did not accept my stereo tuner for repair because they stopped repairing these items 10 years ago. I had to take it somewhere else.

Was able to fix my 65in tv. Screen was getting dark I believe it was the LED/backlighting. Very friendly and professional. Quick turn around time.. read more

George is the man! I got home late on a Sunday night and my TV turned on, faded to black, and would not get past the "smart TV" screen. George has me bring it in, and had it fixed the same day! Hes super personable and a joy to talk to. I would gladly go back to his store again. You rock George! read more

My Samsung flat screen TV died during football season. I did enough online research to figure out that the power supply had likely died. I found George here on Yelp. His work address has changed evidently. I found him on Industrial Parkway in Hayward. We communicated via text mostly. If you're going to see him, be sure to text him first and ask if he'll be there. I put my TV in my car and spent an hour in rush hour only to find the door locked. When I texted him he said he was away and would be back in an hour. We connected the next weekend. My TV was repaired and he lowered the quoted price by about $20 when I picked it up. As we talked, I realized he's a nice guy making the best living he can from this business. I didn't have to shell out $500 to Costco to get a new TV. I paid a fraction of that to get my TV repaired. In the end, I'm happy and I would use him in the future if needed. read more

George was awesome!! I woke up one day and decided to turned on my TV to watch some local news. As the TV was powering on I noticed the screen was flickering. So I thought crap my TV is done for and I would have to spend money for a new one. but I decide to look up any kind of TV repair around my area . (mind you TV repair is a dying trade) Georges business came up. Gave him a call and he was able to diagnose and quote me a fair price over the phone. So I brought the tv in to him he said give him 2 days and it'll be fix. Im glad to say my TV is back up and running thanks to George. He saved my from having to buy a new TV. Awesome Guys read more

Be aware of this business, I contacted this establishment, he returned called in minutes, after giving him the requested information, NEVER heard back from him. I am a business owner myself, and get back to my potential customers ASAP, out of respect and professionalism, he might be a good guy, but his business practices are -1....Would not recommend this company due to the lack of respect for his customers. read more

Again I called on George and he saved me again! The remote control for my 20 year old adjustable bed (manufacturer no longer in business) was dying. George fixed it in a day and it is like new. Thanks! read more

First time posting a review on Yelp because it is rare to find a small business that is providing a service is slowly going away that I felt compelled to let everyone know where to find honest and good services. Brought in my 65 inch LG with blue tint on a Saturday. George said by Wednesday it would be done. Got a call at 3:00 that it was ready for pickup. The repair was done in less than 4 hours since I dropped it off. The repair cost was very good for parts and labor and the time it took was outrageously quick. If you have a tv that isn't working well call this place before throwing it out and spending more money to get a new one. It's better for your wallet and it helps to keep small businesses in business. read more

Called over to see if he could take a look at repairing the dash lights, that are soldered into the board, for a Dodge Caravan's AC controls. He said to bring it by and he'll take a look. A half hour later my boss comes back, and I asked couldn't do it huh? He said it's done!! WOW I spent 3 hours trying to do it myself! This guy is great! read more

My 7 year old 80" Sharp LED/LCD failed. Peter came by to diagnose and mentioned the power supply board was bad. I purchased a new one with expedited delivery and Peter came back to install. Peter was very accommodating, knowledgable and prices were reasonable. The only minor downside is that my tv was wall mounted so I needed to help as the TV is massive and a little heavy. I have zero complaints. read more

George is professional and a nice guy. Very reliable and considerate. Very knowledgeable of his profession / craft.

Stuck at home during the quarantine and my TV goes out. This guy was open and available, super friendly and had my TV completely fixed in a timely fashion. The quality of the screen is just as good as it was before it broke down. Very grateful read more

I had a 3 year old 32" Samsung TV sitting in my parents house that my dad told me longer works and replaced a couple years back. Out of curiosity I took it to TVA to see how much it would cost to fix it. The cost was 3-4 times less than just buying a brand new. A week later, I got a bigger TV for my bedroom (old one was a 26" Vizio). I'd advise to call them first before heading over to get the most current address and time availability if you're dropping off. The address isn't updated on Yelp. Very nice guy, straight forward. read more

Very friendly and awesome repair guy. He's very patient while waiting for my answer from AMEX if I'm getting it repair or not. It was at his shop for over 2 weeks and extended his hours until I got there after work to pick it up. I will definitely be back -- I hope not soon cuz I don't want anything to break haha. read more

Sept 2012- We have a Hitachi 50" wide screen, it started showing a rainbow of colored lines on the screen. We kept turning it off the back on and the lines were gone. We thought we solved our own problem only to soon here a cracking sound and the Tv went out. The white bulb blew out.I searched online and found it however it would take approx two weeks to receive the price of the bulb and shipping was pretty costly. I called George he had the bulb in stock and his price was great. He repaired our TV same day. George was very nice easy to speak with and very knowledgeable. A few months later we started noticing a dark circle on our screen and the colors seem to be out of whack. We actually starting looking at new 50" widescreens since we thought this tv has now seen its last day and would probably be too costly to fix since it is already 7-8 years old. I decided to call George before spending a good punt of money on a new TV. I explained what was going on over the phone. He told me put in a DVD if the colors on the DVD picture are normal the problem is not with your Tv, your comcast cable box may be faulty replace it. Surprisingly enough once again George was correct. I plugged up the new cable box and the dark circle was gone and the colors were just as bright as can be. George fixed our TV over the phone and didn't even charge or have to make a house call. Needless, to say he just saved us over $1300.00 from purchasing a new TV. December 2012- I called George to ask if it was common for a Hitachi remote control to stop working only on the top half? He said yes it can but he may have an old one that I could have instead of trying to buy one online. You can't ask for better service than what George with TVA repsir provides. Thanks George for the great service. Dale Marie read more

Once again- George repaired my tv. So knowledgeable and friendly. It took a few visits to fix this time- but he was patient and made sure everything was working perfectly- he didn't get frustrated and was dedicated to making the right fixes. I highly recommend him- thanks George!! read more

George was very professional throughout. He was thorough, honest, and gave me the best customer service anyone can ask for. He diagnosed the problem at my home. I received the TV a few days later. The only hiccup was that my TV started changing channels on its own after the repair. I called George and two days later he came back to diagnose the problem. George took the TV and later called to say that the problem was because of a faulty switch. He said he will replace it at no cost to me! It's now been over six months and TV is Perfect! No hiccups and with excellent picture-quality. I HIGHLY recommend George for your TV repair needs. You won't be disappointed! read more

George, provided a first rate service and an extremely competitive price. Not only did they pick up our TV but they dropped it off as well. Thank you! Sincerely, E. Scott read more

I called up Bay TV Repair because our 2008 Samsung TV was starting to cycle on and off never coming on all the way. I called up Bay TV and George, the owner, let me know that the problem was a simple one and offered to fix it in 1/2 an hour if we brought the tv in. He helped carry the tv into his shop and after a quick stop to Starbucks the TV was fixed and he helped us load it into our car. Very pleased with his professionalism and customer service and prices, will be recommending his services to friends! read more

Absolutely the best! I called gave the model number of my Samsung explained the problem. He gave me a fair estimate. I dropped off the tv and an hour later it was ready. Went home plugged it in and it's perfect thank you for great work! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! read more

I called several shops I found on Yelp and George was the only one who could quote me over the phone. So obviously that showed me initially that he knows his stuff and wasn't trying to waste my time. His shop is in an industrial area so I was a little put off but I decided to go for it since his communication was so open. Definitely happy I went to him.. CAN NOT BEAT HIS PRICES ANYWHERE! Every other place was trying to sell me a refurbished one and take my old one because they could fix and resell it and charge me just for diagnostics. read more

Awesome. My Samsung flat panel started cycling on - and off, a very common problem as it turns out. They came to my house, replaced the bad capacitors, I paid and the TV worked - for day. Turns out it was more than that. So I called, he happily came back and replaced the power supply board - at NO additional charge. TV works great (or will for another 4 years until the cheap components Samsung uses flake out again). Great, prompt service, they stand by their work, show up on time and fix things quickly. I felt the price was very fair as well. What more can I say - will definitely refer them to anyone that has a TV problem. His advice - all these flatpanels are made cheaply and you are lucky to get 4 or 5 trouble free years out of them. Buy the cheapest one you can get and throw it away. That is an awful scenario, as these just take up room in the landfill, but they don't seem to make TVs to last like they used to (My old Sony tube tv will never die!) read more

I called TVA on Monday and was immediately given an appointment for the next day. I was asked what the problem was over the phone and the guy knew exactly what was the problem. The day of the appointment, I asked if they can text me when they are on their way, which they did. George, the business owner was the technician that day. He was very friendly, talkative, trustworthy, and fast. It only took him about ten to fifteen to fix my tv. There is a 90 day guarantee and the cost of the repair was fair. I'm very happy with the service and I highly recommend this company. read more

I am glad that I found George based on Google and Yelp reviews and he truly does live up to his reputation online. My 65" 3D TV display completely went dark recently. Took the TV to George and he fixed the main board within a few days. After it was working for about 2-3 weeks it again went dark. Called George again and he guided me to remove the mainboard from the back. Took it to him and he again fixed it within a few days. Now the best part - he came to my house personally and installed it just this morning and my TV again works perfectly. Now, that is what I call a platinum customer service. I have never seen a more personable, professional and highly knowledgeable technician. Thank you again George! read more

Great work and turn around time fixing my 75 inch Sony (XBR-75x900f) which needed a new board. Reasonable prices and quality work.

Called for tv repair for my 65'. The guy was very pleasant and informative he requested the model number and provided me with a plethora of information about my tv. They charge a fee to come to your home to diagnose or they will do it free of charge if you bring your television to their site. read more

I dropped off my Insignia 55 inch LCD because of some powering and screen issues. He promptly fixed the board and the TV worked for a few days, but died again. I dropped it off again and the final diagnosis was a screen problem. He gave me a refund because it was unfixable. Honest work. Recommended! read more

I dropped off an older 46" Samsung smart TV in the morning and by the afternoon George had called me with a diagnosis and estimate. The repairs did not last long... a little over 3 months. He fixed again at cost, lasted a few weeks. Had to buy a new TV.

FYI--TVA Repair is no longer at the San Antonio Street Address. The new address is 2396 American Avenue in Hayward. Call him first to get directions. We highly recommend TVA. George evaluated our LCD TV right when we arrived and told us it was not worth fixing. There was no charge. We appreciated the honest evaluation. read more

I called in to request a repair for our Sony Bravia XBR. After describing the problem he told me the screen was gone & a new TV would be the same cost or less than replacing the screen.
