We stopped by for breakfast unfortunately left with a very disappointing experience. The service was very disappointing, our server, a young guy, seemed careless, inattentive, and not welcoming at all. He spent most of his time at the bar chatting with a girl instead of checking on us. The food itself was also underwhelming, very bland and lacking flavor. I was actually very hungry, but still couldn't finish my meal, even after trying to add salt. When we were ready to leave, no one came to our table for quite a while. We even tried to get his attention, but he simply ignored us staying at the bar. I had to get up and go to the bar myself just to ask for the check. I love this Turning Point location. Food is consistently good, service is great and I love the decor. Today I had the Goat Omelette. I have never had goat cheese in an omelette before but it is amazing. The omelette also had bacon, onions, and sun dried tomatos. Turning Point is not stingy on the omelette toppings. I felt like I had a whole garden with my eggs. The portions are large. I needed a to go box. My friend had the french toast, a side of pork roll and a cannoli cold brew coffee. There are a lot of coffee options if you are into that. Check out the menu before ordering. The coffee was good but sweet, which is to be expected. The French toast was eggy and not dry which is exactly how I prefer it. If you're looking for a cool breakfast spot I highly recommend. Great breakfast place, we went with a group of 9, with reservations. Everyone got breakfast except me, there were pancakes, waffles, eggs, avocado toast, bowls and all sorts of breakfast items. Then we had to wait at least 40 minutes for our food which was meh and although I ordered a hot dish, it arrived lukewarm. We waited for about an hour for a table, and then once we were seated, it took about 10 minutes for a server to come over. Our server was borderline rude, and seemed really disinterested. We went to order, and she goes, "oh yeah, the whole back of the menu, we are out of." She didn't check in with us once until she brought the check. My girlfriend liked her food. My strawberries weren't ripe, and the coffee wasn't that good in my opinion. My girlfriend got hot chocolate, and it tasted like a packet made with water instead of milk. Yeah, they've gone full bore trendoid, offering an infinite variety of breakfast smoothies promising a thorough morning detox when all I really want is caffeine and a jolt of mood elevation but in the grand scheme of things, that's really small ball. I came for breakfast and they've got that down cold (and hot.) Wonderful pancakes that I could never replicate at home and a parade of fluffy omelettes bursting with the freshest of ingredients. My tomato and mushroom was sheer bliss. Did I mention service? No need. it's always on point and never over or underwhelms. We went here around 11 am on a Saturday and it was packed! They have a waiting list system where you can write your name and they'll text you when there's a table ready, or for those who are in a hurry you can sit in the communal table. We went was the latter, because we were starving! Super cool menu options. For coffee lovers they pretty much have everything from fancy espresso based drinks, to an on table French Press. We ended up trying the shrimp omelet(minus bacon), the peachy French toast(minus canned peaches), the avocado toast, and the purple rain lemonade. I think this was enough for two people. We ended up having some leftover French Toast. The bill came out to around ~$45. I liked everything and would only comment on the French Toast. It had this weird chewy texture. Kinda like it was left out for a long time. Otherwise everything else was good. Also I was a bit hesitant to try the purple rain drink, but to my surprise it was pretty good. First I want to say that I have never had such sweet waitresses. Our main waitress, Adrianna, was a doll. You'd never know the place was busy as she seemed so calm and relaxed and seemed like she was interested in the answers to her questions. It seems as if there is plenty of help as other wait staff delivered food or asked if we needed anything. Mostly young people waiting and they were extremely capable. The place in nice and clean, well air conditioned, and has a lovely outside seating area. Bathrooms were clean as well. My husband had a Cuban. It had honey mustard so it was a little different, French fries and coke slaw were good. I had a caramel waffle with bacon, walnuts, cinnamon and vanilla sweetened mascarpone cheese. When Adrianna asked me how it was I said delicious but it seemed like it needed more mascarpone, or whipped cream. It would be amazing if it was served with vanilla ice cream but it would be way too filling. She brought me a small serving of whipped cream. Deliciously perfect and so sweet of her! Nothing better than a midweek Covid friendly brunch date! Came here with hubby to try to break up his Spring break trapped in the house and had a luke warm experience. The place itself is gorgeous, very clean and cute inside. There were a surprising amount of people there considering it was a weekday and 10 am. At the first glance of the menu I wasn't really impressed with many items. We were attempting to not look on Yelp for the best dishes and instead just stuck to the menu. I decided to go with the shrimp hash because that seemed the most creative and tasty. And boy did it deliver! It was absolutely delcious, the star of the show being the creamy cheese sauce it brought. It also came with a big piece of cornbread to tie it altogether. Hubby ordered a sandwich that was basically a turkey club. It was so plain. It brought no sauce, the bread wasn't toasted, it just left nothing to be wanted. Because it was Covid there are no bottled condiments, and we wanted some mayo or ketchup, and salt for their tortilla chips - but the server didn't come back to check on us so we just split my shrimp hash instead. At 12:44, I placed my name for my party of THREE. We were finally seated 1:21, after the fact that I had to ask three times for our place on the list and table status. At 1:37 we ordered our food which was okay to good. I get having a long wait time but I was specifically told that it would only be about 20-25 minute. Then the hostesses told me that my table was "just being cleaned", FYI cleaning doesn't take ten minute. I'm an understanding person when it comes to service at restaurants, it's a stressful job especially at rush hour, but there is no reason other parties of three who came after us got tables and not me, my sister, and my temporarily disabled mother. And the fact that as I walked to the table, I saw multiple available tables was appalling. Solid byob brunch. We used to live in Newtown and it was such a treat to have brunch and walk home. This past weekend, we decided to visit our old stomping ground and hit up Turning Point again. There's a waitlist that you can call earlier in the morning and they'll text you when the table is ready. We called at 9am to add our name to the waitlist around 11:30am. Upon arrival, we still had to come to host to say we're here but it worked out great since a lot of people came in without being on the waitlist and were told 35-45 mins wait. Foods and services are consistent. The manager walked around asking people how's their dining experience been and whether we needed anything. I think could get similar or better quality omelet at other places (potentially cheaper too) if you really want an omelet. Potatoes were okay, maybe a little salty for some tastes. GREAT COFFEE! Hot coffee comes in a French press. Was about 2.5 cups. Food was okay. Ordered the cinnamon bun pancakes that were a little dry, but the icing was good. Also ordered the big easy Benedict. Flavor was meh. It did not come on the corn bread and the eggs were cooked through. Home fries could have used more flavor. Giving 4 stars because this weekend was the first weekend they were back at 100% capacity and the restaurant was slammed. It took a really long time to get our food and the order wasn't correct. To celebrate a friend's birthday we snuck out for a night and capped off the celebration with a nice brunch at Turning Point. We were seated outside and watched as they cleansed our table. Paper menus were in effect. The coffee was solid, though not overwhelmingly great. They do offer other more expensive options in a French press, so maybe that's an option in the future. I was jealous of my nieces hot chocolate choice, but I would have been on a sugar high for days. Wifey had the pancake flight, which was a great value for the price. The cinnamon roll pancake was the star of the plate. Could have easily been a shared meal if you aren't starving. I had the key west omelette after a long debate, since the eggs Benedict choices were plentiful as well. Awesome omelette though, with plenty of flavor and plenty of shrimp. Great start to our weekday! Beautiful day, great table outside on the patio, service was attentive and friendly, lots of menu choices and spending time with my two adult children made a perfect mix of goodness. It does not get much better. At 9am the place started to fill their tables but enough empty for a no wait time. We started with one of the intriguing pots of pressed coffee. 32 oz of delicious brew. Hard to narrow our choice and with our server's help we chose the Costa Rican brew. We like strong and this was a full bodied solid good cup of coffee. It was listed as Medium but could easily pass as strong. Once the pot is placed on the table you are instructed to set phone timer for 4 min. Then push the handle down to press the coffee. Simple enough. Hot and good to the last drop! We got 2 1/2 cups of coffee. For my menu choice I picked the New Yorker salmon platter. Not sure the reason it is listed under "shareable for the table" bc it was just right for ONE. My bagel kinda ruined it for me. It was stale. It was toasted lightly...maybe that was part of the problem. I didn't say anything bc I hate being that person that sends everything back but I should have in this case. I just kept adding more cream cheese (calories) to hide the staleness and that helped. My son enjoyed his skillet with eggs over easy. It was a generous portion and cooked just right. My Daughter ordered the Shakshuka. Never heard of that before and to me it looked a bit gross. She enjoyed even tho it had a spicy kick and did mention the sauce was runny...usually thicker sauce. Can't believe she had it elsewhere and even knew what it was. She took some home bc it was a lot of food. I didn't even have a desire to taste it...yuck. Overall this is a solid good place and most people would enjoy. I have been to their other locations in North Wales and Warminster and did not like the service or quality of food.
