Both were not just served but presented beautifully on wooden boards. We had to try the Syrniki and were delighted. Their specials and coffee and baked goods always looked so good online and they did not disappoint! They were baking in house and the entire cafe smelled great. They had a lot of baked goods in addition to a breakfast menu served all day and a lunch menu served after 10! They have a regular coffee menu and some specials as well. The location itself is a little "hidden" - it's in the middle of a neighborhood and the street you turn down looks like it's gated off but it isn't - the street sign isn't super clear either but they had a sign at the top of the street which helped! We both choose eggs, bacon and cheddar cheese hers on sour dough and mine on a baguette. Each sandwich came with a side salad. My friend ordered unsweetened ice tea and I ordered iced coffee. The sandwiches were very tasty as were the salads. My iced coffee was the color of my friend's iced tea. I mentioned it to the counter staff last and she seemed confused that the iced coffee was anything less than perfect. I ended up spilling some of it in the counter and she rushed to refill my glass with the same weak concoction. It was undrinkable even with cream and sweetener. We had a lovely chat. There were quite a my number of patrons for lunch including a massive dog someone brought in for some type of birthday celebration. After lunch we went into the thrift store next door that is party of the same operation. It was very cute. We'll definitely go back, but I'll be skipping iced coffee!
