french press at the table

This is a wonderful spot for breakfast or brunch in uptown Hoboken!! We came here on a Saturday morning and were seated about 10minutes after arrival. The inside is so cute and well themed, plus, the view is amazing! Our waitress was really helpful and funny, making sure we ordered the right items and answering all our questions. I got the vegan pancakes and the Turning Point french press coffee. Both were excellent and I was even allowed to take my leftover coffee home in a to-go cup.

Came here a few months back without a reservation on Veteran's Day and they were so accommodating and patient. We only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, and the service was also great and our server was very attentive! We shared a wilbur skillet, cinnamon rolls, and chicken and waffles are were stuffed to the brim! The food was tasty and worth the price! I think Turning Point is a reliable and fun brunch spot without a doubt and I'm already looking forward to coming back here soon! Thank you!

Celebrated my best friend's birthday here for brunch. Had a great experience. Little bit of a wait even with reservations, but the service was good once seated. We ordered shareable cinnamon buns for the table (I asked them to customize them for my friend's announcement). They did amazing! I had a smoked eggs benedict and it was fantastic. The iced coffee with coconut cold foam was unreal. The interiors of the place is cute and loads of natural light with an amazing view! Can't wait to return back!

Always come here for brunch. Great views and value for what you pay for. It was a coz and laid back spot to catch up. The food is as always really good, have savory brunch entrees and the portions are generous. Service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. I'll try their pancakes next time as it's been a while since I had em here.

Great breakfast place with skyline view of Newyork. It's very crowded place and service is slow . We took pancakes and Avocado toast which took almost 30 minutes to come. Good was good and view are amazing . I would just go for breakfast with view.

Everything is mediocre and expected but the waiting time on Sunday is just insane. It took us 60+ minutes in the line and some 20 minutes before we got the food. Good thing you can go outside and get walk along the waterfront with a good weather. Otherwise I would not stop by to wait for infinity. It's crowded and very noisy inside too.

The food was quite okay for the price of the items on the menu! also the beach house vibe indoors works really well. Although I was disappointed that the cold pressed carrot juice wasn't freshly made as I had hoped and was just bottled drink :( The person who served us was very friendly and would highly recommend this place for a cheap brunch :)

Turning point is such a fun breakfast diner! I heard there can be a wait to be seated, but we called ahead and we barely had to wait at all when we arrived. The menu has so many options. It was really hard to choose. I went with the breakfast combo so I could have a little bit of everything. And I upgraded my pancakes to get the cinnamon roll pancakes (yum!). The eggs and bacon were standard. The potatoes were not my favorite but everyone else loved them. The pancakes really won me over because they were delicious and unique! They tasted just like a cinnamon bun. The lattes we ordered were HUGE, just FYI. The French press coffee is yummy but expensive. We did take to-go cups for the coffee we couldn't finish. This was a pleasant experience. It was nice to see the water front view during breakfast. The waiter was friendly and prompt. In conclusion, I would come back again.

Turning Point has been a brunch favorite of mine with a large selection of hearty home staples. While I've never frequented the Hoboken location until recently, I felt that the overall experience left a lot to be desired. *AMBIANCE* The decor here is consistent with how the other locations are decorated and feels like you've arrived at the Jersey Shore. They have an online waitlist function which is convenient if you are coming here with a large party on a weekend. This restaurant is on the waterfront and is great for looking at the NYC skyline over the Hudson. *FOOD* The cold brew here is great and comes in a large jug. I like how you can opt for the sweet cold foam which they give to you on the side. At other locations, I've always loved the skillets and decided to order a Wilbur Skillet here, but must say the food at this location is disappointing and not fresh. My dish tasted average, which came with ROTTEN avocados that looked like they were intentionally hidden in the dish. There were questionable black moldy spots... *SERVICE* Our waitress was friendly, but on weekends, it's hard to get attentive service since the place is packed. Overall, if you want fresh food, skip this location as there are much better brunch spots within the area.

This was a far more delicious breakfast than we expected. It was a nice walk along the water from our hotel. Food was super good. Very clean and warm and great service. We had to wait a bit for a table but if you get up early you should be fine. My vanilla dirty chai was also perfect. Great views of the water NYC from most tables.

Classic brunch place in Hoboken with an amazing view of the water. Came by with 5 friends on a Sunday and we were expecting a long wait time, so we put our names on the waitlist online on our way over. Thankfully we did, because when we got to the restaurant, there were crowds waiting outside. When we checked in, we were told our wait was another 10 min, so definitely check in with the host if you put yourself on the waitlist early. Food was good - although we wished they had more sharing appetizers because the only options that were easily shareable were the bacon lollipop (picture attached, nothing like I imagined haha) and the chili (which unfortunately our waiter forgot about early on and we needed to ask them for it half way through our meal).

The food was delicious! There is so much variety in coffees and food. It is not very expensive and the view is beautiful. You can see the skyline from the restaurant. There was a long wait but the food was worth it. The service was great.

Do you offer breakfast everyday and for reservation can we do the waiting list on yelp?

Yes you can do the Yelp waiting list but still expect ridiculously long wait times just to eat at this hipster location. If you have extreme patience then the food might be worth your time.

Is there street parking during the week?

Yes ....2 hour pay parking on 14 th street........ No parking for street cleaning 8am to 9am on Monday South side of 14th st & 8am to 9am on Wednesday North side of 14th…

There was only one other family dining, and the space stayed empty the entire time. The service was genuinely great. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and a really cute, cozy space. I especially loved the Christmas décor and overall vibe--it felt warm and inviting. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the prices. The house salad was $13 and honestly one of the most basic, smallest, and most boring salads I've ever had--very underwhelming for the cost. We also ordered quesadillas, a cheeseburger with fries, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. My son enjoyed the burger and fries, and the quesadillas were flavorful, generously filled with chicken and veggies, and came with sour cream, pico, and guac. The tomato soup was tasty, while the grilled cheese was just okay. One small but appreciated detail: canned soda. Cold, crisp, and not flat which is always a win. Lunch for 3 came in just under $100, which felt high given what we received. One frustration was being seated in a tight corner right next to the kitchen even though the dining room was completely empty. We were so close I could literally see into the kitchen and count items on the shelves. On top of that, the hostess repeatedly walked by calling out "corner," which became distracting and honestly a bit irritating. Overall, I liked the vibe, but the food-to-price ratio missed the mark for me. It wasn't bad--just alright.

We even had leftover since the pizza was so filling. I really loved the pasta. Frozen Irish was tasty and boozy. To finish off we did an espresso martini and midnight orange which were both great. Long story long I was so impressed with Dear Maude. Our server was the nicest. Amazing decor, food, drinks and service. I immediately texted my coworker, then my husband that we have to come here for a girls dinner and date night. I sadly moved out of the area or else I'd make this my regular spot.

At least I know no one overheard our very personal conversation. My friend ate half her tomato mozzarella pizza, complimenting the fresh tomatoes, but noting an uneven bake: too hard on the outer perimeter, too soft below the cheese. My steak sandwich lacked char and had no depth of umami, along with a forgettable bun and fries that became oily and mushy way too quickly. The margarita picante is hardly spicy, so don't worry about letting your spice-averse friends take a sip.

The food was excellent! The menu has so many options for different tastes and palettes. It also seems like they rotate dishes depending on the season which is pretty impressive. Both times we split the beet salad and their cacio e pepe as an appetizer. The cacio e pepe was one of the tastiest I've ever had. The fact that they used mezze rigatoni instead of angel hair is a nice touch. I prefer rigatoni anyway, and it gave the pasta that extra something-something, plus the ridges helped soak up all that sauce. It had just the right amount of peppery bite too. I also opted for the hangar steak - holy moly! Tender, cooked just right, and the fried potatoes were to die for. Both times, the servers was extremely attentive. Also, the place itself is small but cute. I like that there are different sections to sit in - at the bar, towards Bloomfield, in the back with all the windows. My steak was cooked perfectly to medium-rare, was well-seasoned, and was taken up an extra notch by the delicious peppercorn sauce. The branzino was also a big hit with both people who ordered it. They praised the dish at length, and one person kept going back for more bites even after announcing she was stuffed! Our server was vivacious and happily chatted with us about the many menu options, giving us tips about the most popular dishes not just among customers, but the staff as well. She was great!
