I contacted Turn Source Imaging after researching, on line, the options I required for scanning and digitally preserving the 2020-25 tax records for a friend's estate. His accountants insisted these records be held for at least seven years, but I simply couldn't maintain them for that long with the limited space I had. We used Turn Source twice, and we would use Turn Source again. The first time we used Turn Source was to rid our storage room of old files we needed to dispose of to make space for new files. The second time was to ensure we had digital copies of important documents. John was and is still excellent with communication and follow-up. He worked within our budget. We asked for physical drives with our documents, but copies were available on the cloud as they were being scanned. That proved very helpful. The scans were clear and labeled to our specifications. We were able to find files with ease. We used Turn Source about 2 and 5 years ago. We had over 500 boxes to scan and dispose of. The physical drives were misplaced during our move, and John offered to put our files back on the cloud for us to download. If ever we are in need of scanning services again, we will definitely ask Turn Source to help us. read more

I would never use or trust this company with any of your confidential documents. Below is my experience with John Rupe - Turn Source Imaging's CEO. Yes, you heard that right... CEO. Pros: NONE!!! Cons (but more of a description of my experience this time): John and I had been emailing back and forth discussing a scanning project that we have (one project of many upcoming projects as we are trying to digitize 40 years worth of client documents). This job consisted of ~30 bankers boxes worth of documents that had all been prepped. I received several quotes from different companies and asked if John would be willing to match one of the quotes I received. John (remember - he is the CEO) asked me to forward the proposal over to him and he would be glad to review it and try to beat it to earn our business. John Rupe, CEO then proceeds to call me and laugh hysterically at me and the proposal I had forwarded to him. John was laughing so hard he could not even speak... for 3 minutes I listened to this person laugh on the other side of the phone. John then told me that he Googled the scanning company and that the company was just "some guy that worked out of his garage". He then followed his rude phone call up with several emails telling me that the company is not a scanning company and that he could not "entertain" the quote - simply because this guy works out of his garage?? A small side note - my dad is also a "small business owner" and my dad works out of his basement. My dad (who has a Ph.D in Physics) works with the military designing circuit boards to detect bad drones, he designs radars that are currently protecting the US, he designed the technology in the most recent night vision goggles for the military -- and I could go on and on. Maybe John Rupe, CEO will read this review and laugh at my father for working out of his basement and protecting our country. I called John after Googling him (at which point I learned he was the CEO). I expressed to him how appalled I was that a CEO would treat a potential customer (or any human) with such disrespect. John told me that he did not mean to laugh and realized later that it was pretty rude and that is why he sent me this email: "I apologize, we can't entertain that quote. - I didn't mean to come off as rude if I did, it's been a pleasure talking with you." ....... um, what? Summary: I would much rather support a small business with a guy that works out of his house or garage than EVER support Turn Source Imaging and John Rupe's disturbing and beyond disrespectful behavior. read more

These guys are incredibly responsive and professional. We had a MASSIVE backlog of records from a recent acquisition back in June that we needed imported into our CRM... Our CSR's we're having a major issue finding the right documents for clients when they would call in for additional changes and it started to become a major burden on everyone. It was taking several days if not longer, and sadly was becoming more of a professional liability exposure than we wanted! I reached to several scanning and document imaging firms to see what kind of help could be offered. We decided to work with John because Turn Source had (by far) the most flexible approach. -We needed to have our project finished as quickly as possible to keep up with client requests, but just didn't have the immediate cash flow to cover the entire order in one go. We had worked out a plan together, and finished in roughly a month (just over 100 boxes) of paper! We're very happy, as it went about as smoothly as it could have gone. I've had John do a number of scanning projects for my insurance agency over the last few months and they've always done a great job in a quickly manner. Every time we fill up our boxes, we give them a call to come pick them up. The load of boxes are done within a few weeks and a driver drops off a portable drive and new boxes for the next time. (I won't name, names here) had an issue returning calls and emails when we have requests.
