I used to go to FedEx Office for self service printing until they switched copiers from Canon to Konica Minolta. The Konica Minolta copiers were a problem for me at FedEx Office because the alignment was off when I printed my Avery labels. Staples uses Xerox copiers which are similar to the Canon copiers that I used at FedEx Office. So I was relieved to find a replacement copier. After going to this Staples store a few times I started using other services, such as dropping off UPS and USPS packages. It seems like the employees aren't having a great time at work. When I walked in, I noticed two female employees at the front, and none of them greeted anyone. They looked quite unhappy. Also, the air isn't circulating well, making it hard to breathe. At checkout, the cashier didn't seem too happy either. She seemed annoyed throughout the transaction. AVOID AT ALL COSTS--NEVER USE AMAZON LOCKER After work, I arrived to pick up a Christmas toy for my godson, a toddler, who I'm seeing tomorrow before his family leaves town. I thought the Amazon locker was outside, but it was inside. Luckily there were plenty of people just inside by the Amazon locker, right next to the entrance--surely one of them could help me, right? Wrong. They opened their doors to leave and said they were closed. I said oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize, I thought the locker was outside but I just have one package, and showed them my phone which was all ready to scan. They reiterated they were closed (lights on, store full of employees), and I said yes again I'm so sorry, this will only take a moment. I explained the circumstances--surely someone would understand, right? Wrong! Upon hearing that I had to pick up a CHRISTMAS TOY FOR A CHILD and it HAD to be tonight due to the aforementioned extenuating circumstances, the entire group of Staples employees shrugged and muttered more about being closed. I begged them to have a heart--it's Christmas! And I had been lucky enough to catch them while they could still help me. They sneered in my face and locked me out. Don't ever, ever expect to be able to use the Amazon locker at this Staples. I've lost count of the Staples runs we've had to make, and the people here have COME THROUGH again and again. The printing team especially. I'm standing here 15 minutes after closing time, and Oscar and Eugene are still working on a last minute rush print job for me. A stressed, hangry lawyer rolls up and they are patient, helpful, and attentive to detail. I've also found every office supply I didn't realize I needed here. Stopped by this location to purchased jumbo Sharpies and highlighters for work. Found what I was looking for without asking for help, paid for my items and was out the door in less than 10 minutes. Cashier were friendly and I didn't have to wait to check out since the location was empty. Only gave it 4 stars due to the fact the location is literally a hole in the wall, and badly lit. They need better lighting inside or maybe some windows. Other than that, if you known what you're looking for then this place is for you. read more

Came to this Staples location because it was the closest place to do PreCheck. Private parking lot. Typical Staples set up. PreCheck was easy. I made an appointment a week ahead for Saturday. If you do not have an appointment, you will have to wait awhile for openings on weekends. Process takes 15 minutes a person. I got my number within a few days. read more

This Staples location has been around for many years. In the past I have bought computers and other supplies there. So I was a good customer. There also seems to be a constant turn over of staff and management. I went into the store twice this past week and had a bad experience each time with the same people. I had bought a few sweaters from Banana Republic. Banana Republic has an agreement with Staples that customers can return items to Staples. The idea is to make the returns efficient and easy for BR customers. Staples will scan the items and give us back instant credit. There is an area in this store for customers to return items from Amazon and now BR. The employees who work in that section are not interested in helping process the returns. It is not a priority to them. That section is dedicated to some other function. Each time I went to that section of the store, the section manager literally ignored me when I asked for help. He literally turned his head and would not look at me. Other employees told me they were busy with other customers who obviously were going to take a long time. The other employees also turned their heads away from me and ignored me as well. This was done in a blatant manner and was very offensive. I can understand if someone is waiting on someone else. But they could have at least acknowledged me and have said something like "we will get someone over to help you." Instead, they ignored me even though they were aware I was waiting and no one was there to process returns. I needed to process a small return which literally took less than 2 minutes. Yet I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and to come over and help. And, they only reason I got help is because I asserted myself and let it be known that I wanted help. Otherwise I would have probably been left waiting there for a longer period while the employees continued to ignore me. Even more outrageous is that the two employees with whom I did speak to directly, told me that the only people who knew how to process the returns were the people who worked in that section. They alleged that no one else could help me. That was clearly false since someone was eventually called over to help. Overall the employees were rude and acted as though I was bothering them. It is rude to look directly at someone, then to deliberately turn your head and ignore that person. That is really bad customer service. I have been to other stores which have arrangements with entities such Amazon and BR to allow customers to make returns at their location. The other stores have a staff person working in the return section. So returns go smoothly in the other stores. The other stores make it easy for Amazon and BR customers to make returns. This Staples location makes it difficult. One wonders why they have an agreement with BR and Amazon if they do not have the staff or the interest in processing the returns. read more

I would say this place is great. It's a Hidden gem dtla south side. They have a parking lot easy in and easy out. You can do your Amazon returns and UPS they have a good amount of supplies no frills I think this is a great spot for students workers employees etc. The workers are very pleasant and helpful. read more

Came here for TSA Precheck application-- their setup for the waiting line is NOT VISIBLE enough. Confusing waiting line. You still have to wait despite the appointment system. Manager was not attentive to our needs. The TSA coordinator was helpful and supportive but the Staples SECURITY AND MANAGER were DISRESPECTFUL. SERIOUSLY ONLY COME HERE IF NECESSARY. You are better off at other locations. I wish staples would be smarter enough to do something about this location. read more

Service was so so I had to go looking around for help then they didn't have what I was looking for.

I enjoy coming to this location during the summer deals! They have back to school items starting since July and they are super cheap! You can get notebooks for 25 cents and glues for 50 cents. They do have limits on how many you can get bit it's still awesome. If you're a teacher they give you discounts and their limit for teachers is more. You can check their weekly ads online to see what deals they have before you go into the store. Sometimes they run out of the items so it's best to go earlier on in the week when the new weekly ad starts. The staff are always friendly and the store is always clean and well organized. I always know where to find what I am looking for and if for some reason I can't find it, the employees are always there to help. read more

The staff picked up the phone really quickly (this was a really nice surprise after a painful phone call with walgreens during which I got transferred 4 times) and told me it could be done in an hour. We had a very awful and disrespectful encounter with Eugene from the printing and marketing department today. My boyfriend has consistently brought business to Staples and utilized them for many huge printing jobs. All we wanted to do was check on the status of our order, to which Eugene practically refused to assist us and rudely responded that we needed to wait since he was assisting another patron. As we waited, we observed Eugene assist other patron that arrived after us and then walked away from us and refused to assist when we inquired about our order. Very unprofessional on Eugene's behalf and blatantly rude. It is very unfortunate to have this kind of experience when you are paying too dollar for these services. I am very disappointed, especially since we constantly visit this specific location, and now Eugene has left such a horrible impression that we are just questioning the quality of customer service and the integrity of their establishment since Staples allows this behavior. read more

I walked in at 7:45 not knowing they closed at 8 pm, which is probably why i had to wait until 8 for the copy person to help me, she was probably trying to finish before she skedaddled. Anyway, seeing it was 8, she still scanned my stuff, some of it in color, bypassed the copyright policy they had (since i was the writer of the articles being copied), gave me the PDFs on my USB drive, and the best of all... because she took awhile and because all the registers were closed by the time she finished - she gave me everything for free!!! I did join the staples club and purchased some ink, and hung out and semi flirted with one of the employees, but i still should've paid for their services, considering i had an application due the next day and they totally delivered for me. I was on my way to a concert at The Novo when I realized I forgot to print my ticket! Thankfully this place was right down the street. I didn't expect the place to be busy at 7:00pm on a Friday. The young European Guy who wears skinny pants and red socks needs a crash course in customer service or needs to find a new job doing something he enjoys. He was not into his job and did not want to help. He pushed me off to another printing place. I needed the job done now and told him I'm willing to pay a premium. I just got out of Staples and wanted to give a huge shoutout to James in the printing department. My fiancé and I went in to print out our wedding invitations after we had such a bad experience at an Office Depot yesterday. James was the only one in the printing services area and was able to help and accommodate everyone who was there. The best part of it all was that he told of us a coupon that Staples currently has and was able to scan it for us which saved us 40%.
