Perfect, A++++ experience and I'd give 10 stars if I could. I'm so grateful to John and Z Stories…read morefor helping us to keep a cherished memory. I only have one home video of my childhood. My uncle brought a big ass camcorder to my brother's baptism in 1991, and all of us were fascinated by the camera and had never seen one before. It's the only recording of my brothers and I as children and of my dad who has since passed away. When I started hearing about VHS digitizing services, I was super reluctant to mail the only copy to a stranger, especially after how many stories there are about these people losing photos or videos. I started seeing Z Stories advertise in my neighborhood Facebook groups and with tables at local Burbank events. I loved that they were local, I didn't have to ship my video far away, and the reviews were impeccable. I texted the owner, John, to find out more about their services and he seemed more than happy to take an order of just one tape. He gave me different options for submitting the tape (they even deliver and pick up locally!) and I ended up dropping the tape off at A Express Mail in Burbank, for Z Stories to pick up. When we had tried the tape on our VCR at home, the sound cut in and out and there was static and blue squares over a lot of the picture. I was worried that maybe I'd waited to long to digitize a 35-year-old tape before it deteriorated. John picked the tape up within an hour of me dropping it off and texted me with updates and questions (like whether we wanted to keep the football documentary that had been taped over!) and the finished product was ready within 24 hours! He met me at A Express the next day and seemed excited to show me the finished product on his laptop. I was ASTONISHED at how amazing the video looked. The quality looked even better than I remembered the original video looking in the 90s, and both the picture and sound were crisp and clear. I was completely blown away at how they were able to make the recording look so great. These are experienced professionals who obviously take pride in their work and care very much about helping people to preserve their irreplaceable memories. The total cost was only $17 because they provided a flash drive (if you provide your own, it's only $10.) We are going to use Z Stories to digitize all my in-laws' home movies, and I would wholeheartedly recommend John to anyone.

They take good care of your assets, and go the extra mile to get top quality transfers and (re)masters. All at very reasonable prices. High recommend! Long Review: Top-notch services here! When I first walked into the studio, it reminded me of the recording studios I grew up going to with my dad when he was producing records 40 years ago. Big, thick, heavy soundproof door. Dimly-lit room. Vintage recording and mixing equipment. Old, black leather couch. Ripped carpet with tape on the floor. Uneven steps. The smell of old vinyl. Mmmmm! I fricken love coming to this place! In fact, I was so lucky to find it. Because the quality of work is so high, that they literally serve all of the classic Hollywood music, film, TV libraries. Literally all of them. At any given moment you can see the names of famous people on the outer cases of tapes laying around waiting to be transferred. All these years later, we're remastering dad's tapes, vinyls and 8-tracks. Round N Wound has all the equipment to do it too. I've used their services 4 times so far and I'm always so surprised at how reasonably priced they are for what we ask them to do. It's really amazing stuff. And they are very trustworthy with your valuable assets. You can't go wrong. Bring your stuff here!

Thankfully, I was able to get a bulk discount by converting multiple reels at a time. I made several trips to drop off and pick up the converted videos. Each time, the person I dealt with or spoke with on the phone was very friendly, personable, and professional. They all couldn't have been nicer. The time it took to convert each set of filmstrips was reasonable. The quality of the converted videos turned out excellent! I am very pleased with how they turned out and have been sharing the links with many friends and family. The videos are truly treasured keepsakes. DVD Your Memories was recommended by one of my cousins and it certainly worked out that this location was very convenient. I can't recommend this place enough!

They were super close to my house, had great reviews, and were very convenient, so I decided to stop by. When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised to realize they also specialize in audio and video transfers. The timing felt almost divine because literally the day before, I had told myself that I needed to finally get some old VHS tapes transferred to digital! The entire experience was great. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and their prices were very affordable. My fingerprints were done quickly and easily, and I came back the very next day with my VHS tapes. I dropped the tapes off on a Friday, and everything was already finished and ready for me by Monday morning. The turnaround was so much faster than I expected. Such a great local business. Professional, friendly, affordable, and quick. I'm so glad I randomly stumbled across them and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

So I Googled digitizing service near me and this place came up. I contacted them and spoke to Rudy…read moreand found out that to take a VHS over to a memory stick or a DVD would be twenty dollars. Sounded fair to me. I paid $20 for the VHS that I was trying to have done and had ordered a VHS machine because the one that we got here at the house was looking weird like with snow running across the screen remember back in the day you used to have to adjust the tracking sometimes and then it would clear up I couldn't find that option on our machine here at the house so I ended up ordering another one and then that one arrived busted through shipping but I didn't realize it was busted until after it ate my tape and at that point my wife ordered me another VHS tape of what I wanted through eBay and I knew working in there I was going to try and get it converted over. Couple days ago I took in my tape they gave me a quote right then and there which was a little bit more than what they had told me on the phone but they told me why, my wife is telling me I call bullshit for this that or the other reason and I'm like you know what it doesn't matter if it happens and it works for that price I'm happy because trying to find places to play a VHS to do a class is what I'm trying to do a Billiards class is more difficult than with a DVD or a memory stick on a computer so it's fine. The staff there was very courteous and straight to the point. I will find out Monday if they are able to do it for me because there are some type of encoding that they put on the tapes at times and some of it is unbreakable so we will see Monday if they are able to make mine work the tape the VHS itself is about 40 years old. So that's another reason to modernize it. Anyways I would recommend this place.

My assistant found Hollywood Photo Scanning thanks to Yelp (here's a shout-out to this platform) and after researching other places, said this should be our go-to place. Am I grateful that he led me here! Tony is incredible - patient, organized, and empathetic. It's a lot to go through getting old pictures organized and I figured the cost and enormity of the project would overwhelm me. A phone call or two with Tony where he offered me options and really fair pricing made the process doable and simple. He's been in business for years and his company knows exactly what they're doing. All my pictures were scanned, organized, and cleaned up in the scanning process so they look better than ever. Tony's attention to detail, his concern for the client, and his willingness to help go beyond the call of duty. If every business ran this well, this would be one incredible world. If you have important photos you want organized and saved, this is the place to go. They have services beyond just photo scanning so definitely give them a call and get your job done BEAUTIFULLY!!!

Absolutely incredible service! I highly recommend Hollywood Photo Scanning to anyone with a huge…read morecollection of photos. Before I called these guys, I thought having scanning done was going to be a complex task but they made it so easy. I had everything digitized from my family's old photo collection and also from my wife's family. Some of the prints date back to the 1940s. They did an astonishing job with all of my negatives, slides, and prints. They took the prints out of my old photo albums, scanned and put them back in the exact chronological order they were already in, just as though they had never been touched by anybody. Additionally, they did a great job packaging and condensing my other scanned loose prints and film into separate bags. They individually labeled each archived bag (which they provided for free) by group, indicating which digital folder names the photos were scanned into. When I received all our original photos back, they made it so I was able to put the perfectly organized boxes they provided directly into our garage, repackaged for long-term storage. Since we now have the digital scans of them, which look way better than the originals, there is no reason I can see the need to access any of the original photos or film again. However, I still don't have the heart to throw them out, so I'm glad they were able to really free up some space for me in how they returned everything. The quality of images left my whole family speechless. They images are very sharp and clean. Even displayed on my full screen tv, they look like they were taken on a high quality digital camera, if one existed decades ago. It's amazing how the color corrections (a service I added on) came out so well on my older photos. I'm seeing my childhood (that I thought took place in a red and orange world), in incredible natural but vivid color. I am very grateful for their generous and friendly customer service as well. I haven't encountered this level of customer service anywhere else in as long as I can remember. A big thanks to the whole crew over there for their excellent work digitizing my family's history.
