I haven't been to Tumeric in years due to not having a great experience but decided to try it again. We did not start off smoothly as my husband spilled his water on the table and we couldn't find anyone to assist with cleaning it up. But it got better as the night went on. Prior to going I had looked at the menu and gotten some food suggestions. I ordered the mango lassi to drink due to reviews and it was delicious. For appetizer we got the golgappa and chicken lollipops. Really liked the green sauce with the golgappa. Chicken lollipops were delicious as well. I wanted to try a dosa so the waiter suggested the truffle masala dosa and it was delicious. My parents are from Pakistan and it reminded me of something my mom makes. I was super full by this point but had to order the butter chicken. I got it extra spicy and it was delicious. Husband got the lamb chops and they were delicious as well. We ended up taking home a lot of leftovers, but they were soo good reheated. The restaurant itself is a little funky when you first walk in. The place to wait is pretty tiny. The restaurant itself is spacious with lots of tables and a large bar. I will def go again and try some more food!

We were recommended this place by some friends and were not disappointed! The menu has sooo many options and lots of vegan/vegetarian choices too which is amazing. They had some different options than just the basics I usually get from most Indian places so we ordered quite a few things. Everything came out pretty fast and was super flavorful and delicious. The presentation was so pretty too and seemed like all the food and drinks had care and time put into it. Our server was great as well (Umesh) he was really attentive and provided great service through the whole dining experience. Definitely a hidden gem and will be returning!

Mango lassi is my favorite cold specialty drink and this one hits the e spot!

It's a solid 5 for me because even tho their a.c is down, their food tasted really good! The preparation and presentation is so beautiful. Nice and inviting ambiance. I highly recommend it! I suggest ordering extra naan because the sauce is finger licking good! Definitely coming back!

Great Indian restaurant, especially if you love spicy food! Love the chill music vibes and atmosphere inside. Even though it was a Thursday night, the restaurant was quite busy (which is always a good sign!). We had a reservation and the service was pretty fast. - Pineapple Mojito: 8/10 on the sweeter side, but not too sweet or strong - Chicken Lollipop: 9/10 absolutely yummy, melts in you - Tanjore Lamb Chop Masala: 9/10 yummy as well, comes with a lot of masala that can be paired with naan or rice - Garlic Naan: 10/10 soft, fresh, perfect amount of garlic, delicious! - Tiger Shrimp Biryani: 9/10 on the spicier side, came out fresh and soft - Double Ka Meeta: 6/10 alright, but not my favorite bread pudding

Great ambience. Okay service. Didn't wait too long. Ample parking space in the back. Imo it's quite pricey for the amount of chicken we get. But great presentation. Samosas aren't super small. I'd prefer normal size one. Overall tastes are just average. We do love the mango spicy condiment. I do like Indian restaurant addition to Delmar.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. The Garlic Naan is perfect! I personally would recommend 10/10.

We got the Cocktail Samosacocktail and I had the Tanjore Lamb Chop Masala everyone was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection.

Walking in the hostess was kind and cheerful. My waitress came over soon after and was pleasant. Not over the top friendly, but helped me with my order. She never came back. My food was delivered by a young man who seemed like he was having a bad day. He walked over put my plate down, turned around and walked away. I was trying to ask him for salt and pepper, but missed him. Shortly afterwards, an older gentleman who may have been the owner or manager, came over to check on me. The ambience was decent. The lighting was good. The restaurant was clean. The food was also reasonably priced. (I went to another Indian restaurant a few few weeks later and then naan (bread) was $6, which at that location was nearly half the price of my meal! ) The food appeared to be a meager portion, but that was just based on the presentation. It was actually a substantial amount; I only was able to eat half (A lot of restaurants work to make their items look bigger than they are in this one it was the opposite). As I was finishing up, I called over the manager, had him bring me a box in the check. He did that took my payment and thanked me for coming by. I would definitely go back to house of India. The service wasn't over the top as I like to have a server do more than just take my order, but they did have a system, my food was hot and tasty, I was served quickly, and I left pleased and ready to begin my 18 hour fast.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, and all food came out super fast. We got multiple containers of white rice, a dosa, and samosas to begin. We enjoyed the samosas as they could be made as spicy as you want, but they are always full of flavor. The dosa was similar to a giant pancake, and slightly sweet - very good. We tried lots of sauces - the butter chicken, which was a huge hit. The paneer makhni, which was dark green with white chunks, was another favorite. I was told it was spinach with cheese, and it tasted healthy and fresh. Tikka Masala was also tasty. I forgot to mention the papdi chaat, which was "Indian street food", I believe. Our table was a bit overwhelmed, but only because most had never tried Indian food. It was challenging to keep up with all of the new flavors. That said, I enjoyed all that I tried. My personal favorites were the daal makhni and the paneer makhni. It was a fun trip to a super cool area!

Rearn Thai is a no-frills establishment that delivers huge portions for low prices and though the food was only slightly above mediocre, it still hit the spot. The combo appetizer was all deep fried and tasty, though the crab rangoon and wontons were extremely stingy on the filling. For main courses, the crispy noodles had a perfect crunch. The chicken tasted almost rotisserie and the veggies were generous. Overall, it was a good dish that was surprisingly light and bland. Lastly, the whole fried tilapia was great when it was steaming hot, with crispy skin and tender meat, though it tasted fishier the more it cooled down. Nothing was spicy despite us asking for mild and medium. There was only one party apart from us dining in on a Wednesday night. Because no music was playing, it was pretty quiet but generally comfortable. After reading some other reviews, I'd skip the pad thai and pad see-ew, but recommend trying the chili fried rice and red curry! They seem like a family-run restaurant so I was glad to support.

It is a Trojan horse for one of the best burgers in St. Louis (my wife says I'm being dramatic for calling it THE best; I say I am not NOT going back for another). We enjoyed everything we order: the pork belly burnt ends and cashew chicken wings, and a coffee & cardamom old fashioned that sounds like a personality disorder but tastes like a vibe, smoky, a touch sweet, and very drinkable year-round. The Sam Elliott burger, BBQ sauce, bacon, crunchy onions, brioche, is named for a man who has never disappointed anyone, and neither does the sandwich. And the meatloaf is NOT your grandma's brick: tender, charred at the edges, laid over silky mashed potatoes with broccolini, perhaps closer to a chop steak than a loaf in the best possible way. Vibe is farm-chic: old church pews, repurposed interior doors, a proper bar up front, plus a patio and rooftop for when the weather cooperates. Fun fact -- it's named after the blue duck Billy Madison paints in elementary school, which is a fantastic piece of trivia and tells you absolutely nothing accurate about the actual restaurant. 4.7 Stars. Picking Nits: the counter-order setup is efficient, but it sets expectations in the wrong direction for the first 90 seconds, you brace for fast-casual and instead get something considerably more ambitious. Food comes out fast once you've ordered, which is great if you're hungry and slightly jarring if you wanted a slow, lingering dinner. And the Billy Madison naming is charming trivia but entirely misleading as a vibe preview, no complaints about the actual restaurant, just the branding expectations it sets. If The Blue Duck were a character: Ron Swanson. Hear me out. If Ron ate here, he'd be suspicious of the entire experience until his first bite of protein -- the counter ordering, the repurposed doors, a burger named after a fellow mustachioed American, all of it registering as potentially too clever. Then the Sam Elliott hits his plate, he takes one bite, and the skepticism dissolves into the quiet respect of a man who has found his people. Looks rustic. Has strong feelings about meat. Secretly sophisticated -- plays saxophone in a jazz club under a fake name, builds his own furniture, would 100% approve of the farm-chic decor once the protein has spoken. Presents as simple. Isn't.
