The menu includes Italian mainstays like spaghetti, which is what I ordered tonight. The sauce is always perfect, a little tangy with a fresh tomato taste. I ordered a meatball and I was very disappointed by what I was served. It was a meat "nugget". However, shortly after serving my meal the waiter brought out a fresh meatball saying that the chef wanted me to have it because she thought the one with my spaghetti was "bad". That more than made up for my initial disappointment. My wife had the Baked Mosticolli Special and she was very happy with it. Each meal comes with a basket of homemade bread: a garlic bread twist, pepperoni bread, olive bread and traditional Italian bread. This is always a highlight. Tonight was no different. Normally I don't order dessert however tonight I ordered something called Papas Bread Pudding. This was heaven in a dish. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. The butter rum sauce was delicious and a scoop of vanilla ice cream was the perfect topping. I would recommend Giuseppe's for Italian that is fresh and tasty.

Giuseppe's seems perpetually busy and the crowd starts very early. When we arrived last Saturday, there were only two tables left and one of those was a quirky half table. What makes this restaurant popular is the consistency of the food, the good service and the focus on popular old-school Italian food. All of the favorites are there and they are done well. My go-to is often the spaghetti and meatballs, which is so easy to prepare at home, but still worth going out for if the restaurant does it right. The entrees come with a soup or salad, both of which are good. On this particular visit, it was really cold outside and the Minestrone was hot, chunky, and full of fresh vegetables. They also serve (an increasingly rare) bread basket with a variety of different fresh baked breads, which are perfect for dipping into the olive oil. The chicken marsala and the frequent special of Chicken Parnassian are excellent too, as is their pasta. Pro Tip: They don't take reservations, so go as early as you can, even on a week night. They are not open on either Sunday or Monday, so factor that into your visit. They open at 4 pm and close at 8 pm, so the total open hours for the week are 20 hours!

We were really confused when we place our orders and he went to the janitor closet/room in the back for about 10 minutes and came out with the pastry and then put it in a small oven or some sort. We noticed he was wearing gloves but he was using his phone which really defeats the purpose of using gloves. When my friend arrived it was probably another 5 minutes before they came around again. My friend ordered an iced Chai and I stuck with water because they didn't offer brewed iced tea. (Note to restaurants: Stop getting the fake tea from the fountain pop machine! It tastes horribly.) There was only one server and a manager (or the owner). There weren't that many tables but it was noticeable their staff was stretched very thin. One we placed our order, it would be another 20 minutes before we'd see our food. Only after I stopped the manager when our food would come, he popped in and came right out with our dishes. The food failed. My friend ordered the Ropa Vieja Benedict and I had the steak scrambled. My friend stated the eggs and meat was cooked perfectly but the basil hollandaise sauce was made with mustard (powder) and he could barely take two bites before stopping. My steak scrambled was cold along the edges, the eggs, were cooked well, but the steak wasn't seasoned and even the salsa was bland. We had to flag down our server (again) because she failed to check on us, to ask for the checks. Thats when my friend said he wasn't going to take the food home nor did he think he should pay for it. Keep in mind this was just breakfast so I can't speak for all the other offerings but given this experience, we won't be back.

You ask a question, they've got an answer.
