Caprese salad, classic Italian, and cannoli. Sorry, I took a bite of the sandwhich as soon as I unwrapped it. It smelled incredible!

What a great small business! Stopped in today and got the classic Italian sandwhich, a caprese salad and a cannoli. All are incredible! Fresh ingredients across the board. Bread was chewy but not mushy. Cannoli crunchy and rich. They also have an incredible selection for ingredients to make pasta at home as well as home made marinara and frozen home made pastas which I bought for dinner and can't wait to try. Super friendly staff, I'm pretty sure the woman working there was the owner. She chatted about what they have and are hoping to do and I'll certainly be supporting this small local business.

One year and many sandwiches later, Capones has still got it. Frozen take home dinners are also a win. Thanks folks.

I love myself a cheesesteak and I wanted to see if this would be a new favorite I'd enjoy wearing out. They loaded this sandwich with onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. They added some of their pasta sauce on the bottom as well. The sandwich was good, but I thought it needed a bit more flavoring/spices. The bread was some of the softest I've experienced though and the cheese was a good amount. The combo was paired with a pickle spear and a bag of potato chips. This may sound strange, but can potato chips steal the show? Because they did. Super crunch and salty. Yum-O! I tried their coleslaw too and it seemed like to sat there awhile. It was tasteless and I ended up throwing the pint out. I will say the staff here are very friendly and helped me decide on some sandwiches and gave me an honest review of their favorites and least favorites. I appreciate that. I'm sure those chips will bring me back in the future and I'll be open to trying another sandwich.

Conveniently located off Johnson NE (free parking on the street), this local restaurant serves up some good hoagies, sub-marino sandwiches (see what I did there?), pasta, and other Italian food. It's a unique restaurant because it's kind of like a deli and fast casual restaurant with a few tables inside, but when I arrived shortly after 1 pm, it was pretty empty. Overall, the service was great, it's a family-owned place and the mother and daughter were working and were very pleasant. The place smells terrific, if you like Italian food and good sauces. While the decor is a step-back in time, I really enjoyed the taxidermy walleyes which is a true reflection of being a Minnesota business. The sandwich I selected was good, came with a small bag of chips, and wasn't too pricey - the prices are actually pretty good, but the only thing I would say is the sizes aren't huge. I recommend Marinos if you are in the neighborhood and definitely want to try the pasta and meat ravioli next time!

On weekdays, it's usually quick to get in and out! There is always plenty of parking on the residential streets nearby. You order at the register, and they'll call out your name when your order is ready. They have some seating indoors and outdoors, but it's a relatively small space so it does get crowded on the weekends but I've never had to wait too long to find a place to sit! Breakfast is served until 11 on weekdays and noon on weekends and lunch is served all day! Their menu is labeled clearly with what's vegan and vegetarian. They do have an option to sub for gluten-free bread for any sandwich, although I haven't personally tried the gluten free bread. Marty's breakfast sandwiches are an absolute must try! Their focaccia has a fluffy interior and lightly crispy exterior, and the toasted sesame seeds on it add a nice layer to the flavor. The eggs are perfectly fluffy, and the cheese is perfectly gooey and melty. It is, in my opinion, one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the cities. I also think the hash browns are THE best hash browns you can buy. They're house-made, with the potatoes grated more finely than your typical hash brown. They have a fluffy interior, crispy exterior, and are salted to perfection. I like them with a side of aioli, but they're also good on their own! I would highly recommend going to Marty's, and especially recommend their breakfast!

As soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by how much they have to offer. There's literally something for everyone--whether you're into incense, edibles, or just looking for a variety of food, you'll find it here. The grill area in particular stood out to me with its wide range of choices. It's not just sandwiches either; they've got a whole selection that would please pretty much any craving. One thing to note: you order your food, get a receipt, and then head to the front to pay. A little different from your typical setup, but it works. I went with the steak cheese steak, and it did not disappoint. It was hearty, flavorful, and just the right amount of food for one person. If you're planning to share, I'd suggest getting something else--this sandwich is big enough to satisfy just one. I also noticed they have another special cheese steak, so I'm already looking forward to trying that next time I stop by. The service was friendly, and it was easy to navigate the market and grab what I needed. Overall, it's a great spot with a lot to offer, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or browsing their other unique items.

Now run by third-generation owners, it expanded to retailing fine wine and cheeses as well. I stopped in to buy some house gifts, and was pleasantly surprised by its very large selection of products, displayed in a way that it was enjoyable to do some 'window shopping'. In my case, I focused on the whiskey's and found what I was hoping for (from the Nikka distillery, a place I had visited a long time ago). But surprisingly it carried American made whiskey (in this case, from the Seattle area) for a price that was lower than what I had paid when actually visiting the distillery itself. I took the time to walk around a bit, noticing that they had an entire section devoted to just German and Austria wines. (Would have been shocked to find wines from Luxembourg, which is on my list). There were also a large beer refrigerated room, as big as any I've seen at big retailers. Of course, it had the beers from the Midwest that are hard to find where I live now (Leinenkugel, Hamm's, and Zywiec). Also noticed a small display of cigars, protected behind locked glass. Ended up getting two Westland Single Malt 750ml for $56.99 each. Checkout was identical to any large liquor store chain (like a grocery store checkout with employees who do checkout and are not really knowledgeable about the products sold).
