*AMAZING pizza, great vibes*…read more I have not stopped raving about this pizza since the first time I tried it in 2023! It has such a unique and amazing flavor, with a crispy crust. The empanadas are also delicious. Service is always quick and friendly. The atmosphere in the downtown Minneapolis location is also great.

She then made her rounds around the restaurant, the two hours I was there. I found the presentation completely inappropriate for a restaurant. It felt more like something you would see at a strip club or Vegas nightlife venue than at a restaurant, and it was especially jarring at a 5 PM event. Honestly, I would have found it inappropriate regardless of the time. I'm Latina and all for a good, sexy time. But there is a time and place for everything. Beyond that, the restaurant was extremely crowded and hot, and they were already running out of food. Given the number of people there, the food situation was poorly handled. I also had an issue with my drink charge. It was listed as $9, but I was charged over $11, while my friend was charged only $10 for hers. That inconsistency was frustrating. Unfortunately, between the uncomfortable atmosphere, extreme crowding, heat, lack of food, and billing discrepancy, this was a very disappointing experience. I've since seen other reviews mentioning long waits, and after experiencing the chaos myself, I can understand why.

The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and authentically neighborhood-focused. Whether you're stopping in after a bike ride, meeting friends for brunch, or grabbing a late-night bite, it feels like home. The service team is outstanding. Hannah went above and beyond, crafting two custom coffee martinis that were every bit as good as anything you'd find at a dedicated cocktail bar. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to see you that's the standard here. The brunch is excellent, especially on the patio when Minnesota weather cooperates. Located right along the bike path, it's the perfect destination for food, drinks, and people-watching. The menu has something for everyone, from creative specialty pizzas and breakfast pizzas to vegan options, plus favorites like bruschetta and lasagna. Reasonable prices, generous hours, consistently great food, and a staff that treats you like family. In a world of chains and cookie-cutter restaurants, Pizza Lucé Hopkins remains a true neighborhood gem. Sometimes you want more than a meal, you want a place where everybody knows your name. This is that place. #cheers!

When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.

As soon as we arrived, they offered the community table which was perfect. I have been raving about the food since we left. The flavor profiles of everything were simply amazing. Every dish felt like an over achiever. Even the gem salad. We had the prawns which are not to miss and the thai sausage. The korean bbq pizza lived up to the hype. Really sad to hear this place is closing. I just hope the chef comes to LA one day!

We got arancini and the Isaac Becker (raw tuna) pizza, which were both so good. I wish there were more than two of us at this meal because I did very much want to try more food, but we were trying to avoid having any leftovers since we were on vacation. We also got desserts, including black sugar beignets. They were good but not a must get. One note is if you want to celebrate a birthday/feel special, I wouldn't suggest this place. I put a note that it was my boyfriend's birthday and it was our first one together and they don't seem like the kind of place to do anything. Disappointing but understandable, still a yummy meal we both enjoyed.

We were welcomed by great drinks and then had the opportunity to try probably ten different menu items -- what a treat! The Japanese Italian fusion was incredible to try, two of my favorite cuisines. I can't believe I didn't take any photos, but my favorite bites were the crudo, arancini, pepperoni pizza, and an incredible pasta called Mentaiko Lumache. Absolutely incredible flavors. One thing I wasn't a fan of was the Dungeness crab fettuccine, not my favorite texture or flavor combo. I would recommend this place over and over again, and can't wait to visit to enjoy the main restaurant space and the patio too.
