I tried this place out because my previous place I've been using for years had done something that cost them my business. I've brought my third vehicle here now in the last 2 weeks (my Dodge Ram, my sons Nissan Murano, and now my wife's Ford Explorer). I am now sold and will be loyal to Tunex Automotive Specialist because of the utmost care and customer service Josh and Scott provided me. They took very good care of my vehicles and made the necessary recommendations to be sure they run smoothly. Their rates are very reasonable. To add to my delight in this place I witnessed the manager Scott do something that I call putting the customer first. I work for Marriott and we are trained to put our guest before any of our needs. A dude asked for a certain type of oil for his vehicle that Tunex doesn't carry. I'm not sure if it's a standard thing or not. But Scott went out of his way to purchase and have the special oil delivered to the shop. It didn't take long until a service person walked in with the oil. Scott signed the invoice and made this dude the happiest person in the world. That was amazing and very commendable. I witnessed something special today. I recommend these guys to everyone. I took my car in to have the A.C. repaired. When I turned on the rear A.C., we'd only get hot air throughout the car. So I took it to Tunex. They called me within 4 hours and said it was fixed and charged me $307.95 for labor and $273.69 for parts. I paid $650.32. I picked up the car and turned on the rear A.C.; hot air circulated the car. I called Tunex back--they again looked at the car and agreed that they had not fixed the problem. So they took the car again. A week later, it still wasn't fixed but I needed the car so I picked it up and used it until they had a loaner car ready. I again took my Honda in and retrieved the loaner car--which was filthy dirty (McDonalds trash in the back seat, the empty fuel light was on, the weather stripping on the passenger side was totally off, and the side door was dented). When I picked up my Honda, Tunex said that the A.C. wasn't totally fixed, but to take it and see what I thought. Well, they were right--it wasn't totally fixed but I figured I'd just take it to an A.C. specialist at this point. But now the heater was screwed up! So I took it back and said my heater was now not working. They looked at it and said, "What are you talking about? It's blowing out hot air." I pointed out that it blows out hot air when it's on 85, but cold air at 84 and and any other temperature, so there's no gradual heat change--it's just A.C. or super hot air. Tunex said that it just takes a while to heat up the cabin. BOLOGNA!!! I had it on for 10 minutes on 84 degrees and it was blowing COLD AIR! So I walked in to Tunex was $650 in my pocket and a bad A.C. I walked out of Tunex with a lot of wasted time, $0, and now two problems instead of one--a bad A.C. AND a bad heater! I'm done dealing with them and am forced to cut my losses and now start over somewhere else. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This business is HIGHLY immoral and pays to buy your data from companies that won't reveal how they gather said info. I got an stange email from this business saying they wanted my feedback from my "recent visit", seeing as I have NEVER been to ANY of their stores I was pretty taken aback. The email was addressed to another person, but had my email address (which is my name, and as you can see I have a very unusually spelled name of "kairy", so it's not an email address that could have been mistakenly given). Being so alarmed I called them and wanted to know how they got my email address and why I had gotten this email about a car I have never owned (included in this email was the make, model, year, miles, VIN num, and licence plate of said car. I'm sure whomever actually had this work done would love to know I have all this detailed info about them and their car thanks to Tunex) and they told me to call their corporate offices and gave me a number. I called said number and some guy answered and said this wasn't Tunex and it hasn't been their number for a while, but that he is constantly getting calls for them. That probably should have been my first clue that this company is poorly run. I called back and informed them of the wrong number and so they give me another number to call (another location) and so I do and talk to someone who identifies himself as the manager. I tell him the situation and he doesn't seem to care at all and tells me to just "unsubscribe". I let him know I would do that, but I wanted to know how they even got my info in the first place seeing as how I have NEVER been to one of their stores ever. He said he didn't know and I told him I wanted him to find out. He begrudgingly said he would look into it. About seven hours later I get a call back and he tells me that they pay some company to send out emails (spam) to people to get new business and if the customer hasn't given an email address to them the company will try and match their name to an email in that company's database and send out the survey. My name and the name of their customer are NOTHING alike so I have no idea how the company they pay to send out spam matched us up, but according to him that's what happened. I asked him if I could have the name of the company so I can contact them directly and have my email address removed from their database and he said he had no idea who they were. Me: "So you're paying some company, you have no idea who, to get people's information for you so you can send them spam?" Tunex: "Yeah it's part of the package deal." Me: "And you don't know how or where they get this information from that they sell you?" Tunex: " Well . . . no." Me: "And you don't seem to even care that this information might be gathered illegally, because I haven't even used this email address since I was in college 18 years ago, and all of a sudden I get an email from you guys with someone else's information?" Tunex: "I wouldn't say I don't care." Me: "Well you can't even tell me how or where they are getting all this personal data from or even the name of the company and yet you're still paying them for it, so seems to me like you don't care." Tunex: "Well that's all I can tell you about it so unless you need anything else I'm going to go" Me: "Not that I would have ever really been a customer, but I especially will not being giving you any business and you better believe I will tell anyone who is considering you how immorally you conduct your data acquisitions" Tunes: "How DARE you threaten me!" Me: "How is me telling the truth threatening you?" Tunex: "You're trying to prevent me from getting business and that's a threat!" Me: "Well maybe you shouldn't -" Click he hangs up on me I attempted to call him back and he purposely didn't pick up the phone so I left him a pretty rude message to repay his pretty rude behavior. So if you're even considering giving this place your business keep in mind that they will sell your data to their business partners and possible send your detailed car info along with your name and what location you went to and what you got done (and I mean a complete history) to complete strangers and then do NOTHING to ensure you data is safe. If that person happens to call in and ask why they got the email, all they will do is tell that person to "unsubscribe" and if they want more info will be rude and hang up on them like a three year old throwing a tantrum. read more

THE TUNEX SPRINGVILLE TEAM. Wow. These are the most incredible, genuine, and caring people. What a privilege it was to be serviced by their business. Here's why: Late one afternoon just five minutes away from Springville my car began making funky, concerning noises. Rather than trying to make it home, I rolled up to the nearest mechanic shop, and what a blessed occasion it was that it was these guys! Upon walking in, I'm graciously greeted and the first man I meet walks back to my car and jumps in it with me to determine the source of the sound. I later am told this is the owner, a man who's seldom in the shop but instantly was ready to resolve my problems and go above and beyond. Seriously impressive. After a few driving attempts and discovering a transmission problem, my assigned mechanic continuously kept in contact with me over the next few days. The team even allowed me to keep my car there even after I told them I had planned not to repair it. The customer service and integrity of these people is phenomenal and unparalleled. Would highly recommend, and will only be returning to them for future car needs. read more

Awful, awful and awful!!! Went to have an oil change. Took 30 minutes and culminated in the Technician spending an additional 15 minutes power washing my engine compartment; "had a little spill" was what I heard and only after I asked. Imagine my horror after driving it home to find oil spots all over my driveway from the little spill that obviously was neither little or cleaned properly. Went back and spoke with Scott the Manager. He had the same guy that caused the problem, power wash it again with little supervision. When the kid was done, Scott said, "Well, he thinks he got it all". If you want to instill confidence you would have someone else take care of the problem. Offered me something free. I don't want something free...I WANTED A PROFESSIONAL OIL CHANGE! Instead I have oil all over my engine, the underside of my truck, my driveway and my employers parking lot. Oh, and after the second power wash it is still dripping....nice. Absolute incompetence. I had a alternator replaced on my car. When we got to the parking lot the belts squeeled so bad we could not use the a c on the way home.We took it back and the tec said It was because of someone elses work. Its too bad when you pay 400.00 dollars for a repair and it comes out sounding worse than when it goes in! read more

I have had my cars into Tunex multiple times. After trying some other local shops that were suggested to me, I have finally found a place that treats me right and doesn't nickle and dime me to death. If it can be fixed, they fix it. If it cannot be fixed they let you know. Other car shops I have used in the past actually kept charging me for the same thing over and over again always saying that if they tried one more thing it could fix it. I would suggest and have suggested Tunex in Springville to family and friends. read more
