No one made or sold that part anymore. I thought I'd have to finish my last year without a car, and then my first couple paychecks after that trying to get a newer one. The mechanics at Mitchell machined a new part and then installed it for about $20. The car saw me through commissioned officer training in the Air Force, and my young family to our first duty station on the East Coast. I'll always be grateful to Mitchell's for going beyond expectations, and at the same time being super understanding of where I was in my life, how needed the car was, and how limited of a budget I had.

They will make sure to get you taken care of without trying to drain your wallet almost every time. They are also pretty fast in my eyes when it comes to getting you in and out no matter how busy it is. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time instead of seeing my car driven in to the shop from a different shop. Fast forward to now, my AC went out again several weeks ago and I'll need to take it in once more to inspect what is happening. While this service was cheaper then competitors I feel it may have been worth it in the long run to take it somewhere else because I'll end up paying more to get it done again anyway at this point.

He called me about an hour after dropping it off and asked me to come down so that he could show me what he sees with the car up on the lift. When I got there he walked me through how either the engine or turbo was pushing oil into the exhaust system and is what ruined the catalytic converter. He told me that he recommended not repairing it and moving on from the vehicle as the repair with the new catalytic converter and pulling apart the engine to find the source would be very costly. Having found an honest mechanic, I then picked his brain for another 15 minutes regarding his experience with different vehicles. After driving the vehicle, diagnosing the exhaust system, putting it up on the lift and walking me through everything, he didn't want to accept payment! He felt like he didn't do anything for me! After some haggling he agreed to take half what he had earned. Maybe it was a wise move though. He will now be the only mechanic I send anyone to.

If…read moreI didn't have time, I took it to Sorensons The good: Sorensens is a friendly, local mechanics shop that will quote what you need, fit you in quickly, and stand by their work. By my previous review, I've had good work done here before The bad: the work they've done for me since has been hit or miss, and I had to go back to have them fix mistakes. They did some work that involved draining the coolant, but they topped up my Toyota with GM coolant. I brought it back and they fixed their mistake, but after some driving I noticed a few dark black oil spots in my coolant reservoir. I did a block test myself and the engine was fine. The oil in my engine was still light colored and the head gasket is fine, so it looks very much like cross contamination from the materials they were using. Sorensons is a good value, friendly, and prompt, but make sure for yourself to double check the work they've done.

After performing work on your vehicle, they will reach out and make sure that everything is still going OK and that you were happy with their service. While they are working on your vehicle, they will stay in frequent contact with you and send you a report on what they found before you pick the car up so you know what to expect. I have found their prices to be very fair, and they have even suggested at times that I get my work done that I needed through insurance as it would probably be cheaper for me, and I appreciate their honesty. These people are the absolute worst!! I took my 2013 Lexus 450h to them so that they could change…read morethe spark plugs and change the struts on the front of the car. I spent a total of $2700. Within a couple weeks, the check engine light started coming on. I had someone come out to the house and they told me that cylinder one was misfiring and that it was probably a spark plug that needed to be changed. I explained that the spark plugs had just been changed. They then tested the battery, and since it was the original battery that came with the car and was 12 years old, they suggested I change the battery. So I took the car to Lexus and we had the battery changed. The check engine light kept coming on and off and on and off. I took it back to Lexus who said cylinder one was misfiring and it was a spark plug. So that I wouldn't be charged the $500 to change the spark plug, they suggested I take it back to Clegg and give them the opportunity to fix the problem, since it was still under warranty with them. I took the car back to Clegg on January 29, 2025. I dropped it off at 11:15 AM. I asked them to just change the spark plug. They didn't want to do that and kept telling me that it was something else wrong with the car. Their diagnostics weren't coming up with anything and I told them that two other people had told me it was the spark plug that they changed. I asked him to just go in and change the spark plug again. They kept coming up with excuse after excuse. I finally picked up the car at 5:15 PM. What it turned out was that they did not want to spend the four hours in labor that would take to change the spark plug. So I took it back to Lexus. I had to pay Lexus $478.13 and they wound up tightening a spark plug that they said was loose. I asked Clegg to just pay the money that I spent, and they refused. They keep talking about wanting to work with me and they were just looking out for my best interest. Clearly they weren't. They told me they spoke to Lexus and the people there exonerated them and their work, which is a lie. I called Lexus immediately after I spoke to them and they said they never said anything like that. Clegg was looking out for their own interest and getting away with not honoring their warranty. I'm sure their response to this negative review will be that they've been trying to call me or they would like me to call them to resolve the issue. But it's not getting resolved, so now I have to sue them in small claims court. Spare yourself to trouble. They may be nice, they may be polite, and their prices may be lower than everyone else, but they do not stand behind their work. They certainly do not honor their warranties. I had to take my car somewhere else to get their workmanship fixed. ETA: at 4:14 PM on the day of this review, I got a call from the general manager. His exact words to me were, "I just got off the phone with Lexus and they told me that it was not the spark plug." I then called Lexus, who said they had never spoken with the general manager, but only with Cameron, the manager of the Spanish Fork branch. When I texted the general manager back, he admitted he had never spoken to Lexus, that Cameron did. I'm glad I'm taking notes when they call, because these people clearly like to lie. I did text the general manager that if they paid me the money I was out, I would not be taking them to small claims court, and would delete this review.
